RUSH: Folks, I have to tell you here, I remain always surprised by this. I have a gigantic audio sound bite roster. By the way, I'm just gonna tell you up front, it will be impossible for me to get to everything I want to get to today. There's just so much of it. And some of it is gonna require in-depth. For example, I've got this audio sound bite roster here, do you realize, they make things up about me when I'm gone so that they can bounce things off of other people. They make up things I haven't...

SPOKANE, Wash. – The President of the Spokane NAACP received a racist package that included death threats in February. On Saturday, MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry shared her thoughts about the Rachel Dolezal story with one of her guests. Perry said: “But is it possible that she might actually be black? The best way that I know how to describe this and I want to be very careful here. Because I don’t want to say it’s equivalent to the transgender experience. But there is a useful language in trans and cis, which is to just to say some of us are born cis-gendered, some of us are born trans-gendered. But I wonder can it be that one would be cis-black...

The leader of the Spokane NAACP, Rachel Dolezal, canceled a chapter meeting Monday where she was expected to speak about the furor sparked over her racial identity. Her parents have said she has falsely portrayed herself as black for years though she is actually white. Dolezal sent out an email Sunday cancelling the meeting "due to the need to continue discussion with regional and national NAACP leaders." Some, however, questioned whether she had the power to do so. KREM-TV in Spokane, quoting from an email thread sent to NAACP members, says the head of the chapter's executive committee questioned whether...

I's hard to think of a more bizarre story, or one more representative of contemporary America, than that of Rachel Dolezal. Dolezal is an academic and activist who represented herself as African American for many years, earning a degree in Africana studies, even ascending to the position of president of the Spokane, Wash., chapter of the NAACP. As police killings show, the African American community needs more change As police killings show, the African American community needs more change Dolezal's parents, however, have recently made matters uncomfortable for her, telling the media that she is in fact Caucasian and showing...

If you’re a conservative comedian then OMG … did Jesus hand you some comedic gold this past week in the form of a white chick posing as a black chick who's been heading up an NAACP chapter in Spokane. If that’s not a gift from heaven then I don’t know what is. Yep, this past week the NAACP’s Rachel Dolezal got busted for playing like she’s some sort of Jackie Brown character for the last several years. Her parents were the ones who called bullshit on Rachel's ruse, stating that she hails from German, Czech and Swedish descent; which means...

Rev. Al Sharpton is questioning why Rachel Dolezal’s parents chose to out her for faking her racial identity now of all times. The Black community was really shocked to find out that the president of the NAACP’s Spokane chapter was pretending to be a Black woman. This information was new to us, but this was really nothing new for her family. Despite what Rachel’s done during her tenure at the NAACP, and the lengths she’s gone to to make everyone believe that she’s a Black woman, Al told TMZ that her parents are really the only ones to blame for...

A day after the parents of Rachel Dolezal, the President of the Spokane Chapter of the NAACP, said she has been misrepresenting herself as black for years, the NAACP says they are standing by Dolezal. In a statement released Friday, the organization said: "For 106 years, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has held a long and proud tradition of receiving support from people of all faiths, races, colors and creeds. NAACP Spokane Washington Branch President Rachel Dolezal is enduring a legal issue with her family, and we respect her privacy in this matter. One's racial identity...

On the fourth anniversary of her husband’s murder, Kim Renninger got a tattoo on the instep of her left foot reading, “Keep moving one step forward.” It is a discreet, poignant reminder of her mission to make something out of the death of Sgt. Mark Renninger and three officers in the 2009 Lakewood police shootings — the worst act of violence ever committed against police in Washington. Her to-do list has included a change to the state Constitution, reform of interstate parole rules and keeping watch over the seven felony prosecutions stemming from the shooting. Now comes the last big...

Olympia, Wash., Jun 4, 2015 / 12:24 am (CNA/EWTN News).- A florist has appealed to the Washington State Supreme Court to review court rulings that could cause her financial ruin because she declined to serve a same-sex wedding ceremony. Kristen Waggoner, senior counsel with Alliance Defending Freedom, said Stutzman and others have been “more than willing to serve any and all customers, but they are understandably not willing to promote any and all messages.†“No one should be faced with a choice between their freedom of speech and conscience on...

House GOP leaders are expressing a bold new confidence heading into the final stretch of the divisive fight over granting President Obama broad trade powers. The vote, expected as soon as this week, is likely to be a nail-biter — scores of lawmakers in both parties remain publicly undecided, making the count on both sides difficult to pin down. But both the White House and GOP leaders say their whipping efforts are paying dividends, with new supporters signing on by the day. The White House won a victory last week when Reps. Jim Himes (D-Conn.), Don Beyer (Va.) and Derek...

Ambiguity is merely a lack of presence that is you in My Presence for Truly as Isaiah all things are made clear and concise before My Spirit. For I AM The Voice of Holiness and Virtue is My Language and there is nothing less in My Kingdom for I AM The Foundation Stone and Grace its Cornerstone. So find favor in My Presence for it is Here I desire for you to abide and " Complete Surrender " is your KEY to the Voice of Virtue calling to you "Even NOW" . . . Psalm 24:3-5 3 Who may ascend...

One of the first concepts taught in basic economics is the demand curve. As the price of something goes up, the demand for it goes down. And vice versa. One doesn’t even need an economics class to understand that a $50-million house will not have a bunch of buyers in a bidding war, compared to a much less expensive house. Or that a sale, lowering the price of something, is a good way to sell more and clear the inventory. So why is there such confusion about the minimum wage? A wage is simply the price of labor. Raise the...

Contractors are now planning to dismantle the beached and broken Davy Crockett right where it sits. Workers will encircle the 431-foot barge with a cofferdam, forming an enclosed area, and take it apart piece by piece. The original plan of floating it away to a dry dock proved to be untenable, marking another setback in an operation that’s already the most expensive shipwreck in Washington history. Until this week, federal and state authorities had been planning to cut the ship in two and float both halves away to a dry dock. But officials said they were unable to reach agreements...

It took just a few days after the stunning defeat of Obama's attempt to fast-track the Trans Pacific Partnership bill in the Senate at the hands of his own Democratic party, before everything returned back to normal and the TPP fast-track was promptly passed. Why? The simple answer: money. Or rather, even more money. Because while the actual contents of the TPP may be highly confidential, and their public dissemination may lead to prison time for the "perpetrator" of such illegal transparency .... fast-tracking the TPP, meaning its passage through Congress without having its contents available for debate or amendments,...

The National Science Foundation (NSF) is helping fund the creation of an implantable antenna for health care, which could be used for “long-term patient monitoring.” The government has so far given $5,070 for a graduate fellowship to work on the project, which begins June 1. The project is being financed in collaboration with the National Research Foundation of Korea to create a high frequency antenna that can be permanently implanted under a person’s skin. “Antennas operating near or inside the human body are important for a number of applications, including healthcare,” a grant for the project said. “Implantable medical devices...

Did The New York Times just inadvertently tell us what the real goal of the raise-the-minimum-wage campaign is? A Times editorial last week cheered Los Angeles’ enactment of a $15-an-hour minimum wage — but noted that restaurants, particularly fast-food joints, don’t like it. Said The Times: “The restaurant industry . . . will not go down without a fight.” We didn’t think that bringing down an entire industry was what the campaign for a $15 minimum was supposed to be about. Oops. Back in March, we noted that a similar hikein Seattle’s minimum wage was leading to a spate of local restaurant closings, given that labor costs...

Sen. Maria Cantwell engaged in a very public maneuver on the Senate floor Thursday, withholding her vote in favor of the big trade bill until she got assurances that there would be a vote on renewing the Export-Import Bank. Afterward, explaining the fervency of her support for the Ex-Im Bank, she told such a howler that even the Capitol press corps, not empowered to actually call a senator a liar, made sure to offer readers the opportunity to reach that conclusion on their own. The Democrat from Washington state, where Boeing is the single largest employer, said her support for...
