  • Donald Trump mistakenly refers to 9/11 as 7/11 in speech gaffe during Buffalo rally

7/11, 9/11, it’s all the same to Donald Trump. The billionaire — who never visited the Sept. 11 Memorial & Museum in lower Manhattan until months after his campaign kicked off —seemed to have briefly forgotten the date the terrorist attack happened. “I wrote this out, and it’s very close to my heart,” he said at the First Niagara Center on Monday night during the rally. “Because I was down there and I watched our police and our firemen down at 7/11, down at the World Trade Center right after it came down. And I saw the greatest people I’ve...

Donald Trump runs The Trump Organization, his real estate company that dabbled in failed meat, water, and education industries, among others. His campaign for president, on the other hand, has been anything but organized. The way heÂ’s run his campaign has the appearance of a wealthy man who decided heÂ’d run for president on a lark, then woke up to find himself in the lead with no clue how to handle it or finish the job. In many ways the Trump campaign is The Mouse That Roared. For those of you who donÂ’t know, The Mouse That Roared is a...
  • Trump Ally: We'll Tell Our Supporters Where Convention Delegates Are Staying

And by "Trump ally," I mean the always, er, colorful Roger Stone -- who recently sounded the alarm over the Cruz campaign and other Republican officials working assiduously to fill delegate slates with people who are legally bound to support Trump on an open convention's first ballot, but who would bolt immediately thereafter.  These "trojan horse" delegates, as Stone labeled them, could also vote against Trump's interests on key decisions involving the convention's rules, which will be determined by a special committee that anti-Trump forces are moving behind the scenes to stack in their favor.  Bear in mind that all of these moves are fully within the bounds of...
  • A Note to Conservatives Who Are Secular

The most profound thinkers in America are conservative. There are, of course, bright liberal and leftist thinkers, but I can't think of one who approaches the depth and wisdom of the best conservative writers and thinkers. What liberal historian, for example, approaches the understanding of life and history that author Paul Johnson has exhibited in his many works of history? Who on the left matches psychiatrist/writer Theodore Dalrymple's insight into the underclass? What left-wing columnists understand human nature, the state of mankind, or contemporary America as do George Will, Charles Krauthammer and Thomas Sowell, or many of the leading columnists...

The other day I wrote a rant fueled by my concerns for the future well being of my children, grandchildren, and fellow countrymen. I keep receiving requests to keep posting it, or requests to use it elsewhere, and so forth. I truly appreciate the flattery, although find it a bit embarrassing. So to save time and to spare me making individual replies, here is the rant, and my expressed permission to those interested for use anywhere you see fit. In humility, RavenLooneyToon
  • A vote cast for Marco Rubio is a wasted, thrown away vote!!!

A vote cast for Marco Rubio is a wasted, thrown away vote!!! Marco Rubio, objectively, is not ready for prime time!!! He is flawed from the standpoint that he does not do well when questioned, with in depth, probing inquiries. His ears turn beet red, and he sweats under the collar profusely....not the sign of a supposed leader, comfortable in his own skin. Mr. Rubio is also a typical "run-of-the-mill" politician who will sell his political soul to the flavor of moment such as exhibited by his close tie in with the Democrat Party, relative immgration & amnesty (it's called...
  • Who should I vote for?

I've got a dilemna here. I've been a Cruz supporter for several years. I feel firmly that Trump is a disaster waiting to happen. Is Rubio a better antitrump candidate than Cruz? Should I shift my primary vote March 1 in GA. to Rubio because he has a better chance of defeating Cruz. I believe Cruz is a good christian conservative and Rubio is a younger Reagan. Which one should I vote for?

This is a video of Donald J. Trump JR speaking today in Nevada to a crowd of people who will be going to the Nevada caucus tomorrow. I'm posting this for anyone who thinks that Donald Sr. is a liberal. If that's you, you really should watch his son take impromptu questions for 30 minutes on this video today. He's only been doing this for 3 weeks. About his Dad, Donald Trump Sr... Yes, there's some stuff about him I don't like as a presidential candidate, and I was originally a Cruz supporter. But there's a lot more that i...

It's appearing obvious that Trump will win South Carolina, and logic would tend to indicate that that makes him the odds-on favorite to win the Republican nomination (baring any GOPe dirty tricks at the convention). While I will gladly vote for Trump over Clinton or Sanders, I'm still disheartened. Ever since the last day of Reagan's administration, America has been in need of conservative leadership. GHW Bush's squishiness gave us Clinton. GW Bush barely won election. I'm glad he was in office after 9/11 instead of Gore, but he loaded us up with tons of debt and a lot of...
