Back in August, I suspected that we would be where we are today. That expectation led me to shake off the musical cobwebs and do something I haven’t done since I’ve been old enough to vote, and to do something else I had never done before: write a song and produce a music video, respectively. Here, with the help of a tremendous singer and a first-rate recording engineer, is the result: It Matters I encourage readers (and now, viewers) to show “It Matters†to people who don’t think their vote matters, and persuade them to get out and vote. Because it...

In this footage from last spring, a Free Syrian Army rebel throws a grenade down the barrel of a regime T-72 tank — not once but twice. Why didn’t the tank move after the first attack? Was the crew knocked out? Was the tank even manned? Seems like it was abandoned. But then why blow it up instead of capturing it? Maybe the guy who comes on camera at the end is complaining that they should have just taken the tank. In any case the second grenade gets the job done for real. And imagine if U.S. troops stood around...

The field director for Virginia Democratic Rep. Jim Moran - his son Patrick Moran - has resigned after being secretly recorded seemingly advising a conservative journalist masquerading as a supporter that utility bills could be used to aid in voter fraud. **SNIP** It shows a Project Veritas "investigator" telling Patrick Moran that he has a friend who is seeking to "get in a van" and vote on behalf of about 100 people. Patrick Moran responds with skepticism, but is later shown saying the person voting on behalf of others could potentially use "utility bills or something like that." "He'll need...

Check out the guy walking — then running — away from this U.S. airstrike on an ISIS position near Kobane. Actually the third detonation may have gotten him, hard to tell. But the spot where he was 10 seconds earlier was gone. Also looks like there was another guy there who just vanishes, maybe he got his wish to die a shahid.

Please watch in Fullscreen & HD with sound for best quality. To avoid skipping, please let the video fully load. Seeking Michigan is an ongoing personal project that I started work on in February 2013. Over the past year, I have been making trips around Michigan and up to the Upper Peninsula on a frequent basis to discover and explore the beauty of this state. Sleeping in the back of my car, walking through forests at night, getting lost on dirt roads, and driving for hours on end around this gorgeous place has been an incredible inspiration to me. So...

On CNN Tuesday night, activist and former Obama green jobs czar Van Jones and television and radio host and author of "Hands Off My Gun" Dana Loesch discussed the latest Palin-bashing extravaganza the media is currently wallowing in. During the festivities, Van Jones let it slip that maybe Sarah Palin wasn't as dumb and worthless as Democrats have tried to paint her for every second of every day since the moment she took the national stage. He opined: Sarah Palin .. people forget. She had the Democratic party shaking in our boots in 2008. She came out, she gave that speech...

Video cameras? Yes please! Give me one. Maybe two or three. I am absolutely a HUGE proponent of law enforcement using in-car and body mounted cameras. Some ask why I feel so strongly about the subject, and to them I offer the following personal anecdote. I have personally benefited greatly from the video obtained by a digital video camera, the in-car camera system in my patrol car. A number of years ago, I was involved in an incident where, as I arrived at the scene of a call, I came under fire by a suspect armed with a rifle. I...

Tonight on Fox News' Hannity, Sarah Palin was on to discuss President Obama's speech last night about the threat from ISIL. The former governor blasted the speech, from his statement that ISIL is neither Islamic nor a state to his prior characterizations of the group, to his golf game, Palin let him have it. During her analysis, Palin delivered this attention-grabbing line: "As I was watched the speech last night, Sean, the thought going through my mind was, I owe America a global apology. Because John McCain, through all of this, John McCain should be our president." Sarah Palin has an unerring...

It’s not often I get to cite Peter Frampton. Hell, it’s not often anyone gets to cite Peter Frampton anymore. His massive album “Frampton Comes Alive” was before my time, yet my ears are intimately familiar with the songs on it. “Baby, I Love Your Way” was a staple of junior high dances and couples skates, until such things were replaced by dry humping. So it’s nothing personal when I write that I don’t get much occasion to write about Frampton, he’s just mostly before my time. But that doesn’t mean there aren’t still things we can learn from the...

I have long had a love/hate relationship with pop music. Growing up as an aspiring jazz pianist, I wasn’t interested in listening to anything that might appeal to those that I deemed to possess a less than refined palette of musical taste. This willful ignorance continued for some time; it was not until I began making YouTube videos (and subsequently receiving requests for modern pop songs) that I decided to drop my preconceived notions and examine contemporary pop with an open mind. What I found is that, despite my initial aversion to the stuff I was hearing, I was unable...

St. Paul police responded Thursday to criticism over officers' interaction with a man, including police use of a Taser, saying a video doesn't tell the whole story. Chris Lollie, 28, said he was sitting on a chair in a downtown skyway Jan. 31 when a security guard told him it was a private area and he couldn't be there. No signs were posted saying it was private, Lollie said. The guard called police. Lollie, of St. Paul, told an officer he was heading to pick up his children and didn't have to identify himself because he had done nothing wrong....

THE beheading of American journalist, James Foley, at the hands of ISIS militants shocked the world but forensic experts have revealed the video was probably staged, with the murder happening off camera. The UK Times reported that an international forensic science company, which has worked for police forces across Britain, said there is no question Foley was beheaded but that camera trickery and post-production techniques look to have been used.
