According to new reports, Greta Van Susteren did not leave her show on Fox News willingly but was abruptly forced out by CEO Murdoch. Money.cnn.com reported: A sharp knock on the door signaled that Greta Van Susteren's time on Fox News Channel was over. A courier arrived at Van Susteren's Washington, D.C. home at 9 a.m. Tuesday, hand-delivering two letters that said that Van Susteren "was being taken off the air" immediately, according to her husband, John Coale, who is a high-profile Washington lawyer. Van Susteren was already planning to leave, but she thought she would be hosting her 7...

Fox News anchor Greta Van Susteren has left her post after 14 years on air, the network's new co-presidents Jack Abernethy and Bill Shine announced Tuesday. Van Susteren's departure came hours after ousted Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes reached a $20 million settlement with former anchor Gretchen Carlson, who accused him of sexual harassment before she left the network earlier this summer. The network also offered Carlson a public apology "for the fact that [she] was not treated with respect and dignity that she and all of our colleagues deserve," according to Vanity Fair.

It is not a novel idea -- the notion that the route to gun control is not by attacking the right to bear arms which the U.S. Supreme Court has declared to be both an individual and a national right, but to use that old standby, regulation, to dry up the supply of bullets. It was that idea that was endorsed by Fox News host Greta Van Susteren when she appeared on ABC’s “This Week”...

An ad unveiled today by Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign is being denounced by Greta Van Susteren, who says it selectively edited her interview with Rep Trey Gowdy (R-SC) to make it appear the Benghazi investigation is politically motivated. Via her website, the Fox News Channel host has demanded the Clinton campaign remove her 81-second “Briefing” spot, also providing a transcript of the original program to prove Gowdy was not actually backing the Democratic presidential primary candidate’s claims. Van Susteren sees the key discrepancy as “Chairman Gowdy saying ‘it could be’ when I pointed out that a delay in releasing the...

On your list of worst nightmares, where does suddenly-plunging elevator rank?If not number one, at least in the top five, right? For Greta Van Susteren, that bad dream suddenly became reality as the car abruptly dropped four floors with no warning at all, then left her and several others trapped between levels with no way out. Lasting 10 frightening minutes, they were finally able to pry the doors open and crawl out.Incidentally, if a lift is headed uncontrollably to the bottom, the best possible way to survive is to lie flat on the floor. The incident happened in Hanoi as the Fox...

Greta Van Susteren has been a journalist for CNN and Fox News channels since the 1990s. She has a reputation for being objective, and reporting only on stories that she finds to be truthful. She has been known to vet sources and facts herself. When she reported on the 9/11 Benghazi scandal, she chronicled the Obama administration’s attempts to portray the attack as a conspiracy created by an American filmmaker’s anti-Islamic short film. As soon as it became clear that the incident was a terrorist attack, the administration started to withhold their information. Now Susteren is claiming that the Obama...

Republican Presidential Candidate Herman Cain told Greta Van Susteren tonight, “When the President of the United States leaves out three times on purpose “endowed by their creator” something’s wrong. And, that’s what social conservatives and others are pushing back on.” Herman Cain says our culture is being attacked as well as our economy being destroyed. http://gatewaypundit.rightnetwork.com/2011/03/herman-cain-when-president-leaves-out-3-times-on-purpose-endowed-by-their-creator-somethings-wrong-video/

I am in Texas and just logged on to read the headline below in Mediaite.com. This headline is a good chance to discuss an important issue - threats to people in the public eye. As a start, I have no idea about the Palin event or the cancellation but I do know she gets threats...big time. She gets them probably worse and more than anyone but the President. The secret service and FBI do not disclose information about specific threats to people but it is common knowledge about Presidents (and high profile politicians.) Threats are real. We all get them....

For journalists, hate mail comes with the territory. And it can come at any moment, with critics instantly shooting off emails when someone ticks them off on a blog or on the air. Fox News host Greta Van Susteren has surely received audience complaints before — but a recent email exchange irked her enough to take issue with it on her own blog. And in a move that Fox executives probably would have tried to discourage had they been consulted, Van Susteren also urged her blog readers to weigh in on the central point raised by her correspondent: that she...

But I would say to the students that rather than protest, why don't they work up an e-mail and Twitter and Facebook and telephone campaign and see how many right to life meetings they could organize across the country to coincide with the exact same time of President Obama's commencement speech. It would be a great sign of the country's interest if across America that day, millions of Americans took a few moments to consider the importance of protecting the unborn and to consider how wrong it was for President Obama to have favored infanticide when he was a state...

A FRIEND of Sarah Palin who has been described as an unpaid political adviser to her was once behind a failed scheme to establish the Church of Scientology as a major Washington, DC, power player, according to Gawker.com. The site reports that John Coale launched a plan back in 1986 called FLAGG PAC, which was intended to "create power" for Scientology in Washington.

Sarah Palin is seeking the advice of a Scientologist as she plots her 2012 presidential run, which just makes sense to us. John P. Coale, a prominent Washington lawyer and power-broker, is secretly running Palin's political action committee and working to "protect the Palin brand," according to the Washington Post. He is very, very good at doing that because he can walk through walls and read minds and leave his body and never gets sick because he is a Scientologist.
