I am in Texas and just logged on to read the headline below in Mediaite.com. This headline is a good chance to discuss an important issue - threats to people in the public eye. As a start, I have no idea about the Palin event or the cancellation but I do know she gets threats...big time. She gets them probably worse and more than anyone but the President. The secret service and FBI do not disclose information about specific threats to people but it is common knowledge about Presidents (and high profile politicians.)
Threats are real. We all get them. The higher the profile, the more the threats. They don't stop...

If she oficially enters the race for President, she should get protection just as Obama did.
Until then, she is like Rush Limbaugh, who has to pay for his own protection.
