  • Did we just witness a precipitate type reaction among minority voters?

Did we just witness a precipitate type reaction among minority voters? I think one of the of the first labs I did in high school was to precipitate a reaction. You keep adding a compound and nothing happens until you get to the point where the smallest addition of a compound will BOOM! change the entire suspension. I think we just witnessed something similar happen to the minority vote. I have never in my 60 years seen a shift that is even close to what has happened to the minority vote the last several weeks.
  • What if Bill Gates Really Does Know Something the Rest of Us Don't?

In the Star Trek Voyager series, the Jem'Hadar were an invincible military force which was genetically engineered to be dependent upon a special nutritional supplement. What if Bill Gates' confident assertion that he's not going to get Covid is based on his having access to a true, complete vaccine against Covid, along with other elites, which all the rest of the population only receives in a partial form that must be renewed every three months?

Have Absolutely Had It With Wikipedia's Nonsense & Tyrannical Editors As someone who has been on Wikipedia for over 12 years, I've attempted on countless occasions to try to make my own contributions to the website. Besides correcting minor errors, my one main specialty was bringing up-to-date information on individual locations, going state by state. Meticulously researching census records, maps, online resources, etc. to try to improve said pages. It's a time-consuming endeavor, but I figure if it's helpful to others, perhaps a kid working on a research project, it's worth it. Not anymore. I'm sick to death of the...

Ted Cruz & the Republican Establishment had a super bad night in New York, last evening. As I correctly predicted, the Cruz anti-New York remarks did him in , and, DJT slaughtered Ted Cruz politically....across the board. The same repeat act will take place next Tuesday in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maryland, Delaware % Pensylvania. As for John Kasich...dream on, Johnny Boy, you is going nowhere, fast. Go Donald J. Trump!!!

Our coffee club conservative meeting yielded an unusual conclusion, that some thought everyone knew. The GOPe are pushing for Cruz, but not for the reason some people think. They, In Our Opinion, don’t want Trump to win the nomination because he could/would win against any Clinton/Sanders contest, whereas Cruz, would not win against either of the Democratic contenders. So they are not backing a winner, they are purposely pushing for the Republican that will lose against the Establishment candidate, probably Clinton. Why would they do this? To keep Washington exactly as it is, and understand, they don’t give a Da!m...

The very fact, that Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio, John Kasich have turned on Donald Trump, blaming him for these political rally disruptions.....when the folks to blame are MoveOn.org, Black Lives Matter and Bernie Sanders. I dismiss Hillary Clinton rantings. These people are taking away your "First Amendments" rights. So.......any American voter that votes for Cruz, Rubio, Kasich, Sanders & Clinton is giving their rights to free speech and the right to assemble peacefully. First they will take away your right to assemble, then your right to free speech, thn they will come after your guns, as they destroy the "Second...

The wife and I are heading to Palm Springs for a long delayed and overdue vacation in the morning. Fellow FReepers, if you have spent some time there, we would love to hear what you would suggest doing. So far, I am going to be playing golf a couple of days at least, we may be going to a concert Thursday night, wifey will be pampered at a spa for a day and we will of course, be eating out quite a bit. I was hoping someone could suggest; Restaurants Activities Good values for a Spa Good values for Golf...
  • The Definition of a "Concern Troll" - The Most Important Thread of the Day (Vanity, but true)

    09/23/2010 10:11:25 AM PDT · by Scythian · 148 replies
Concern trolling is a form of Internet trolling in which someone enters a discussion with claims that he or she supports the view of the discussion, but has concerns. In fact, the concern troll is opposed to the view of the discussion, and he or she uses concern trolling to sow doubt and dissent in the community of commenters or posters. Although this practice originated on the Internet, it has since spread to the real world as well, with concern trolls popping up in a variety of places from network television to op-ed columns. Artful concern trolling involves developing a...

A Darwinist Religious Experience Described April 11, 2009 — As millions of Jews just completed Passover, and as millions of Christians gather to celebrate Easter, a Darwinist reporter was experiencing “existential vertigo” – a sweeping sense of dizziness as her imagination zoomed in and out of the implications of her faith. It may be the closest thing that a secular materialist can call a religious experience. And religious experience is an accurate description: it was the outworking of an all-encompassing world view, with ultimate causes, ultimate destinies, moral imperatives, and heavy doses of faith. Amanda Gefter (see her previous attack...

I know we have had several calls for boycotts of papers and of MSM stations, and those calls have extended to boycotting of advertisers. I am wondering if we had a place to post those advertisers we are targeting in an organized way, as well as a place to post an alternative to the product/company being advertised, it might have more impact on the advertisers and be easier for us remain in an active boycott of a product. I don't post many vanities, this may be my second on in 3 years. Sorry if it's annoying.
