White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett is quietly working behind the scenes to build a coalition of major U.S. corporations to back President Barack Obama’s goal of hashing out a global agreement to cut greenhouse gas emissions at the upcoming United Nations summit in Paris. The Daily Caller News Foundation obtained a letter that outlines how, by the end of June, Obama is looking to build a coalition of businesses to show support for UN climate talks. After that, the White House will then try to grow this group of businesses to 250 in the run up to the Paris talks...

If you love your child, and I know you do, it’s time to say “bye bye” to the social pacifier that is free universal preschool. I understand. It’s tempting. Whether you’re a destitute single mother or an affluent married father, you’re a parent. And parents often feel wiped out. Especially in this economy. Sure, Michelle Obama has christened this the era of a “huge recovery,” but she’s not in the trenches like you—juggling the stress of being a provider and a caregiver for a 4-year-old. No matter how vulnerable you feel when you hear a certain Disney sing-a-long on repeat,...

The White House sought to quash concerns that the withdrawal of four of the six top leaders of Gulf nations from a planned summit later this week at Camp David signals strained relations between the administration and countries in that region. Of the six Arab states invited, only two of the those countries — Kuwait and Qatar — plan on sending their top leaders.

The ultimate handbook of Newspeak provides helpful guidelines to steer us through these troubling times: Employing the concept of doublethink, the Party gives ironic names to its branches as a way to euphemize what they actually are:The Ministry of Truth, which concerned itself with news, entertainment, education, and the fine arts. The Ministry of Peace, which concerned itself with war. The Ministry of Love, which maintained law and order. And the Ministry of Plenty, which was responsible for economic affairs. Words do have meanings. But the meanings do change. We all know the common usage of the word “brother” in differentiating siblings. Well, at least we used to. Now with all the trans-gender crossovers, I guess we can’t be really sure any more. Heard a good one the other day. “Sex” is what you is. “Gender” is what you thinks you is.” But I digress again. Baptist preachers like to have themselves called “brother.” Like, Brother John, or Brother Dave. A certain ethnic group addresses themselves as brothers, or perhaps more accurately, “bros” or “bruhs.” But I fear the word...

Her control and influence on the President is unprecedented. She commands a staff of nearly three dozen and is referred to as the first friend of Michelle and Barack Obama. She has a hand in virtually every single decision and policy initiative created under the Obama administration. From foreign to domestic polices and nominations to the Supreme Court. When Warren Buffet visits the White House for lunch, the table is set for three. She was the one who described President Obama as, “just to talented to do what ordinary people do”. Essentially Valerie Jarrett is someone whom the public rarely...

The White House played coy regarding the possibility Hillary Clinton, who was said to be in D.C. for a Center for American Progress meeting that morning, would be stopping by the White House. Only after an unscheduled meeting between Clinton, Valerie Jarrett, Barack Obama, and Susan Rice took place did the White House acknowledge the president and Mrs. Clinton took time to “catch up” and discuss a “range of topics.”

President Barack Obama's top adviser, Valerie Jarrett, went around the table and kissed reporters before an interview this morning on MNSBC's Morning Joe. The moment was briefly captured on live television before the network cut away to a commercial break. Watch here:

President Barack Obama, through a statement posted Wednesday night on the White House website by adviser Valerie Jarrett, backed legislation that would ban parents from having their children counseled not to be what Jarrett called "LGBTQ+". “As part of our dedication to protecting America’s youth, this Administration supports efforts to ban the use of conversion therapy for minors,” Jarrett said in the White House statement. “Conversion therapy generally refers to any practices by mental health providers that seek to change an individual’s sexual orientation or gender identity,” said the statement. “Often, this practice is used on minors, who lack the...

The U.S. and other international negotiators reportedly have agreed to the outlines of an understanding with Iran that would allow for a final phase of nuclear talks. The Associated Press, citing officials, reported on the agreement, while noting that negotiators are still in a dispute over how much to make public. A press conference is about to begin to announce the details, but according to Reuters it looks like Iran has agreed to suspend much of its nuclear program.

DC political insiders believe that if President Barack Obama truly seeks compromise with Republicans, he should begin by ditching White House Senior Advisor Valerie Jarrett. It goes without saying that Jarrett, the president's longtime trusted confidante, political ally, and family friend, is a divisive figure inside the beltway. Calls for her dismissal have been rampant since the president began his second term -- and even before then. It is a demand still ignored by the White House.

I lied. I said the other day I wasn't going to write about Hillary's email issue again, but here we are. There was an article over the weekend in the New York Post ? Ok. I know. The New York Post isn't exactly the Tabloid of Record in the Big Apple. As of this writing (Sunday evening) no non-conservative publication - in print or on line - has followed it up. But, I assume there will be a ton of questions for White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest about this at the Monday briefing so when it becomes big news...

I don’t think this NYT Magazine article on Val Jar is going to do much to squelch those persistent Svengali/Rasputin rumors: Excerpts: In his new book, David Axelrod asserts that Rahm Emanuel, when he was chief of staff, was openly uncomfortable with your relationship with the first family. In a town where access is so important, initially it probably made people a little uncomfortable. I think that has faded. I just want to do my job, and part of my job for the president is to be his friend. “And friends share everything.” You’ve been with President Obama from the...

President Obama's closest adviser, Valerie Jarrett, leaked the Hillary Clinton email story to the press -- timed to hit just as she prepares to jump into the 2016 race -- because, well, a lot of reasons, according to an explosive new report in the New York Post. The story, written by Edward Klein, author of "Blood Feud: The Clintons vs. the Obamas," says a bitter and spiteful Jarrett used people outside the Obama administration to spread the story so it wouldn't be traced back to the White House.

Well, here we are, the ides of March; and needless to say, beware. As every Romanophile knows, today is the day Julius Caesar was done in by his friends and enemies. Hillary should take note of Spurinna’s warning.Because I fear the long knives are coming for her. It now appears that her old boss and his consigliore are behind all of Hill’s current woes. (h/t Larwyn’s Linx)If they’d do it to Rhambo, they’d do it to anybodyBarry promised Bill and Hill to back Hill’s 2016 presidential run if they helped out during the historic 2008 contest. The New York Post is reporting that Valerie Jarrett, one of President Barack Obama's top advisers, leaked details of the story to the press through outside sources hoping it would not trace back to the White House. What's more, the entire thing was timed to become public just as Clinton was planning to announce her candidacy for president.

Valerie Jarrett says she plans on staying in the White House until the end of President Barack Obama’s term. In an interview with The New York Times Magazine published Friday, the president’s senior adviser discussed politics and policy and made clear that she wants to stick around until Jan. 20, 2017. “Oh, my goodness, I intend to stay until the lights go off,” Jarrett said. “Why would I miss a single second of this?” Asked whether she ever gets surprised at people describing her influence over Obama in terms similar to those used to describe Vice President Dick Cheney’s in...

Author Ed Klein claimed that Hillary Clinton is under six investigations prompted by the White House on Wednesday’s “Fox & Friends” on the Fox News Channel. Klein said that the White House was leaking unfriendly stories to the press about the Clintons and “it’s not only me who thinks this, Bill Clinton thinks this as well. He has said, according to my sources, that the White House is leaking to their friendly — their friends in the mainstream media stories about the Clintons, not only about Hillary, but about him and about what she did while she was in the...

Author and purported Clinton insider Ed Klein has a theory about how the Hillary Clinton email controversy came about: it was sparked by President Barack Obama and ordered by senior adviser Valerie Jarrett. Appearing on Fox and Friends Wednesday morning, Klein said he’s not the only one who buys into that explanation, and that Bill Clinton also believes it. According to Klein’s sources, the White House is leaking information to their “friends in the mainstream media” about Hillary’s actions as Secretary of State. Klein also said his sources from within the White House told him that Hillary is under six...

A White House national security official was fired last week after being caught as the mystery Tweeter who has been tormenting the foreign policy community with insulting comments and revealing internal Obama administration information for over two years. Jofi Joseph, a director in the non-proliferation section of the National Security Staff at the White House, has been surreptitiously tweeting under the moniker @natsecwonk, a Twitter feed famous inside Washington policy circles since it began in February, 2011 until it was shut down last week. Two administration officials confirmed that the mystery tweeter was Joseph, who has also worked at the...
