President Obama’s distaste for debate preparation may be mitigated by the location his current tutorial, the fabulous Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg Virginia, featuring stunning scenery, deluxe accommodations, and three championship golf courses.A portion of the tab for this luxury is of course being picked up by taxpayers, who largely footed the bill to fly Obama down there aboard Air Force One and house his White House retinue in Williamsburg for three nights. Presumably many of his aides, including a large security detail, are at the hotel itself.Exactly why Obama needed to be training for his debate at the Kingsmill Resort...

The Obama campaign is hosting an outreach event for Virginia-area Muslim Americans on Sunday, according to an invitation obtained by Politico. Brian Moran, the chairman of the Virginia Democratic Party, will represent the Obama campaign as a surrogate at an event in Sterling, Va. at a local community center. It's one of the first real outreach events this cycle by the Obama campaign to a community that is largely overlooked — and sometimes demonized — by both sides of the aisle.

A new poll from McLaughlin & Associates, highlighted by BreitbartÂ’s Tony Lee, provides even more supporting evidence for Suffolk UniversityÂ’s conclusion that thereÂ’s not much chance of Barack Obama winning the state. Mitt Romney has taken a seven-point lead and grabbed a majority, 51/44, in the survey taken on Monday and Tuesday of 600 likely voters in the state. More importantly, Romney has a double-digit lead among independents (via Drudge Report): According to a McLaughlin & Associates poll that had an R+.02 sample, Romney leads Obama in Virginia 51%-44%. Among independents, Romney beats Obama by 11 points, 50%-39%. If these...

Mitt Romney has taken a commanding 7-point lead over President Barack Obama in another Virginia poll. According to a McLaughlin & Associates poll that had an R+.02 sample, Romney leads Obama in Virginia 51%-44%. Among independents, Romney beats Obama by 11 points, 50%-39%. If these numbers hold for Romney, Romney could be free to expand the electoral map and more aggressively make plays for states like Michigan and Pennsylvania that were considered "reaches" just two weeks ago. In addition, this poll, which has Romney leading by double-digits among independents and has a sample that is more reflective of what the...

A pastor in Virginia is taking on the Democratic Party's long-time strangle-hold on the black voting bloc, telling fellow black Americans that it is high time for them to end their “slavish devotion to the Democrat Party.” In a nearly four-minute video (see at bottom) produced by the group Americans Taking a Stand, Bishop E.W. Jackson, pastor of Exodus Faith Ministries in Chesapeake, Virginia, nails the Democrats for their support of abortion and homosexual marriage, and for eschewing Christian values, in the process challenging black Christians to make a mass exodus from the party. “They have insulted us, used us,...

Pollster John McLaughlin (not to be confused with the pundit) conducted a statewide poll of Virginia for George Allen's senate campaign this Mon. and Tue., surveying 600 likely voters. Unlike media and university polls, McLaughlin works for clients and no candidate wants to hire someone who isn't accurate. John is an ace pollster who I worked closely with for Steve Forbes in 1996, so I know that if he is going public with these numbers he is extremely confident in their accuracy as his entire reputation depends upon it. With that preface, drumroll please... Romney 51% - Obama 44% - Goode...

Suffolk University pollster David Paleologos, whose polls are aggregated into mainstream averages to show where the presidential race stands in the swing states, said he’s finished polling in Florida, North Carolina and Virginia because President Obama has no shot of winning those states. “I think in places like North Carolina, Virginia and Florida, we’ve already painted those red, we’re not polling any of those states again,” Paleologos said Tuesday night on Fox’s "The O’Reilly Factor." “We’re focusing on the remaining states.” Mitt Romney has spiked in the national polls since his first debate last week against President Obama. Romney took...

Suffolk University pollster David Paleologos said Tuesday that he’s stopped polling Florida, Virginia and North Carolina because he’s already concluded that President Barack Obama will lose those swing states. “In places like North Carolina, Virginia and Florida, we’ve already painted those red. We’re not polling any of those states again. We’re focusing on the remaining states,” Paleologos told Fox News’ Bill O’Reilly. he remark surprised O’Reilly. “That’s interesting. Let me stop you there. You’re convinced, your polling agency is convinced that Florida, North Carolina and Virginia are going to go for Romney?” O’Reilly said. “That’s right, and here’s why. (Obama with Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius.)FAIRFAX, Virginia, October 9, 2012 (LifeSiteNews.com) – President Barack Obama told an audience of campaign supporters at George Mason University last Friday that free contraceptives for college students was the reason “why we passed” his healthcare reform law. Citing the ‘preventive services’ mandate that requires healthcare plans to provide sterilization, contraception and abortion-inducing drugs to women free of charge, Obama said, “I don’t think a college student in Fairfax or Charlottesville should have to choose between text books or the preventive care that she needs. That’s why we passed this law....

David Paleologos, director of the Suffolk University Research Center, says his polling organization will no longer take anymore presidential polls in the states of North Carolina, Virginia and Florida.

Since my other thread got deleted, I'll repost. On O'Reily tonight Suffolk University pollster said they will no longer be doing any polls in FL, NC or VA since they're clearly going to Romney. Going to poll in states that are still up for grabs. Interesting stuff.
