Texas Sen. Ted Cruz's big win in Utah means he will get all 40 of the state's delegates to the Republican National Convention. Cruz has a very limited path to clinch the nomination before the party's convention this summer. But if he can start winning more contests, he can stop front-runner Donald Trump from doing so. Trump won the most delegates on Tuesday, picking up all 58 in Arizona's Republican primary. Republicans also caucused Tuesday in American Samoa, where Trump and Cruz each picked up a delegate. Ohio Gov. John Kasich was shut out for the night, leaving him with...

Republicans attending the Utah Election Caucuses on Tuesday were _each_ given hand-fulls of Ballots, "Vote as many times as you want" as shown in the photo above, allowing them to cast as many votes as they pleased! When the time came to place the ballots in a tin can for counting, people walked in the door with "absentee" ballots stuffing several at a time into the ballot box. ....

The Utah Republican Party is hosting what is could be the nation's largest online election ever. In addition to hosting a statewide caucus, the party set up an online voting system for any registered voter outside or inside the state. Unfortunately, Utah's digital election night doesn't seem to be going as smoothly as Utah Republicans had hoped. While Utah Republicans headed to their caucus in person on Tuesday evening, anyone who had registered online by March 17 can log on to utah.gop to vote between 7 a.m. and 11 p.m. local time and cast their vote. But the Deseret News...

SALT LAKE CITY — Some Utah Republicans complained they ran into difficulties when they attempted to vote online Tuesday in their party's presidential preference election. Both the state party offices and the help line set up by Smartmatic, the Florida-based company handling the online voting for the GOP, were deluged with calls from Utahns having problems casting their vote.

Aconservative super PAC is trying to swing Utah voters against Donald Trump in tonight's caucus by slut-shaming his wife Melania Trump. The ad, circulated on social media, shows the former model in a nude 2000 GQ photo shoot with the words: 'Meet Melania Trump, your next First Lady. Or you could vote for Ted Cruz on Tuesday.' Cruz, who has a precarious 50.1per cent polling average, needs to win a majority backing in order to take all 40 of Utah's delegates. Republican strategist Liz Mair, who founded the super PAC Make America Awesome, said that the ads have been targeting...

Y2 Analytics did a poll in Utah showing Ted Cruz up by 24%. I have Cruz winning Utah, but I don’t think he will get 50% of the vote. The poll shows Kasich in second place with 29% of the vote and Trump 3rd at 11%. I believe the order of finish will be Cruz, Kasich and Trump, but Trump will get more than 11% and Kasich won’t get 20%. [SNIP] In reading the story in the Salt Lake Tribune, it mentions Scott Riding..... [SNIP] Up until last month Scott worked for Jeb Bush........... [SNIP] Y2 Analytics is, by my...

Smartmatic Group, an electronic voting firm whose worldwide headquarters is located in the United Kingdom, will be running the online balloting process in the Utah Republican Open Caucuses on Tuesday. The chairman of Smartmatic’s board, Lord Mark Malloch-Brown, currently serves on the board of George Soros’s Open Society Foundation and has close ties to the billionaire. The Wall Street Journal dubbed the Republican party’s online adventure on Tuesday as “one of the biggest online votes conducted so far in the U.S.” and the “largest experiment with online presidential voting since 2004, when Michigan allowed Democrats to vote in a party...

Ted Cruz has a significant lead over his two Republican challengers in the days leading up to the Utah caucuses — and yes, that includes Donald Trump. A Y2 Analytics survey released on Saturday shows Cruz with the support of 53 percent of likely Republican caucus-goers. If Cruz were to get at least 50 percent of the vote in Tuesday’s caucus, he’d capture all 40 of the state’s GOP delegates. Ohio Gov. John Kasich came in second in the poll with 29 percent, and Trump followed him at 11 percent. The survey also found that 64 percent of Utah Republicans...

Next week’s Utah Republican Caucus will be the first of its kind in the history of the United States. The state’s Republican Party will allow Utah voters who registered for online voting by March 15 to vote from anywhere in the world for a 2016 GOP candidate. That means voters can use cell phones and tablets as well as computers — any “device with Internet connection” to log in and vote with the personal identification number that was sent to them via email or text message upon registering. s a result, the Party expects turnout in next Tuesday’s caucus to...
