SALT LAKE CITY — Some Utah Republicans complained they ran into difficulties when they attempted to vote online Tuesday in their party's presidential preference election.
Both the state party offices and the help line set up by Smartmatic, the Florida-based company handling the online voting for the GOP, were deluged with calls from Utahns having problems casting their vote.

If you registered to vote online you can’t vote at the caucus.
New procedures like this should be used/tested in a small enviornment to work the bugs out
before going full force. Pick a few precincts/locales and test the damn thing for an election or two.

This is oh so reminiscent of the massive fail the Romney campaign had with its hi-tech GOTV software code-named "Orca". Only it apparently was not properly tested and Election Day it was a beached whale.
