Myanmar's ultra-nationalist Buddhist monk Wirathu has called the UN's special rapporteur for human rights in Burma a "whore" during a public address in Yangon. The leader of the controversial 969 nationalist movement hit back at Yanghee Lee for an earlier comment in defence of the stateless Rohingya Muslims, who are persecuted in the country's western Rakhine state. "We have already made public our Race Protection Law, but without even studying it, this bitch [kaungma in Burmese] keeps on complaining about how it is against human rights!" Wirathu shouted. "Can this whore really be from a respectable family background?" he asked...

But Iran, freed of sanctions, is likely to be the spoiler The United Nations Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2321 (2016) on November 30th. It condemns the North Korean (DPRK) regime’s continued pursuit of nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles while its people continue to suffer under inhumane conditions. The resolution strengthens previous UN-imposed sanctions on the DPRK in response to its fifth nuclear test conducted on September 9, 2016. The prior resolutions have failed to slow, much less eliminate, the DPRK’s nuclear program involving the development and testing of both nuclear device and ballistic missile capabilities. As UN Secretary General...

A TOP British official has taken aim at some Muslim nations during a meeting at the United Nations this week, slamming them for not clamping down on extremism It comes as it can be revealed just 18 out of 57 Muslim majority world states have signed up to a coalition against ISIS. The UK’s permanent representative to the UN, Matthew Rycroft, delivered a strongly worded speech blasting what he called “evil groups” and saying not enough is being done. The comments came as the UN general assembly supported a plan by the Islamic Development Bank to invest £7.2bn to...

Sources close to Trump’s White House transition process have revealed that the president-elect is seriously considering Richard Grenell to be U.S. ambassador to the United Nations. If selected, Grenell would enter the position with plentiful experience under his belt. He was the longest serving U.S. spokesman to the United Nations under the George W. Bush administration. Grenell also served as Mitt Romney’s foreign policy adviser during the 2012 election. Grenell is also openly gay. If chosen, Grenell would be the first openly-gay individual to serve a Cabinet-level foreign policy post – making his appointment historical. His candidacy alone showcases Trump's...

Reorganize, socially engineer our communities, way of life to fit a master plan designed by people who are only interested in saving the planet from an imaginary global warming by controlling the population that they deem to be a threat to our planet As we cheer the election of a new President, the highly successful entrepreneur and businessman Donald Trump, having averted the advance of global communism and global citizenship, we must not forget the massive damage that has already occurred in our country and around the globe, involving the much debunked manufactured global warming turned into a profitable climate...

Palestinians are using the United Nations to avoid direct negotiations with Israel, to delegitimize Israel’s Jewish roots and to use the leverage of so-called UN-created “international law” to pressure Israel into accepting a suicidal “peace.” The United Nations continues to serve as the Palestinians’ battering ram to try and destroy the legitimacy of the Jewish state of Israel. Between the Organization of Islamic Cooperation-influenced UN Human Rights Council, the Division for Palestinian Rights, the Special Committee to Investigate Israeli Human Rights Practices Affecting the Palestinian People and Other Arabs of the Occupied Territories, the Committee on the Exercise of the...

Geneva (AFP) - The concentration of carbon dioxide (CO2) in the atmosphere has passed an ominous milestone, ushering the planet into "a new era" of climate change, the UN said Monday. For the first time on record, the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere averaged 400 parts per million (ppm) in 2015, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) said in its latest Greenhouse Gas Bulletin. CO2, the main greenhouse gas driving climate change, has previously passed the 400 ppm threshold on certain months in specific locations but never on a globally averaged basis, WMO said. The UN agency also reported that...

Remember the haughtily officious spokesperson for the United Nations Climate Change Conference chronicled here in Newsbusters yesterday who wants to ban skeptical journalists from attending their meeting in Morocco next month? His name is Nick Nuttall and it appears he has a very bizarre side gig. You can see him performing in the following video but a word of warning... You need to put your coffee cups down now or risk coating your computer screens with the caffeinated liquid. Are you ready? Okay, I now present to you UN spokesperson/censor and singing space pixie Nuttall entertaining you as he floats gently...

If you are a journalist unwilling to be absorbed into the Global Warming Borg, you are most definitely not welcome to report on the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference next month in Morocco. For proof of this hositility towards such independent journalists, you need only listen to the incredibly condescending and dismissive tone of the UN spokesperson for that conference, Nick Nuttall, as he is interviewed by the As It Happens host, Carol Off, on CBC Radio. The target of Nuttall's ire for not blindly accepting the Global Warming ideology is Ezra Levant of The Rebel. Before we get...

Millions of ordinary people would like to try Obama’s “truthiness tests” on both him and his 3rd term seeker Hillary Clinton and her media peeps Given our getting-crazier-by-the-day world, it’s little wonder how a three decades ago Mrs. Bill Clinton of Arkansas is being recycled as America’s First Woman President. Abortion advocating, sexual assault shushing Mrs. Bill Clinton, last seen laughing uproariously with Cardinal Timothy Dolan at the Al Smith dinner, has crowned herself as the world Saviour of Women and Children, and her remaining years of life will be chronicled by history.

Business as usual in Syria while UN Human Rights High Commissioner demands UN boycott against Israel The United Nations Security Council once again deadlocked over what to do about the increasing carnage in Syria, particularly in the besieged city of Aleppo. UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon expressed frustration at the lack of any decisive action by the Council. Yet, while the UN’s own procurement division continues to do millions of dollars’ worth of business with individuals and entities tied to the Syrian regime and its president Bashar al-Assad despite the ongoing atrocities, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights is...

JTA - The choice for next secretary-general of the United Nations said he wants to be an “honest broker” and a “bridge builder.” Antonio Guterres, a former prime minister of Portugal, was approved unanimously by the Security Council on Thursday after several straw polls in recent days. The General Assembly, made up of 193 nations, is expected to approve the choice in its vote next week. Until December, Guterres served 10 years as the UN high commissioner for refugees. He said the experience prepared him for his new post. Guterres, 67, told The Associated Press before the closed door Security...

International governments have made a power play against Donald Trump by ratifying an international climate deal earlier than expected, effectively preventing him from “canceling” the deal as he has promised to do. The European Union’s Tuesday decision to join the Paris climate deal will push the deal over the threshold for ratification; it will formally take effect in 30 days. That means Trump, should he be elected president in November, could not “cancel” or renegotiate the terms of the agreement. President Obama committed the United States to reduce its emissions by 26 percent to 28 percent by 2025 as part...

Russia and America could co-sponsor a draft resolution to the Security Council authorising military action against Islamic State and al-Nusra Russian UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkin’s assumption of the Presidency of the United Nations Security Council for October could have a lightning rod effect on the Security Council finally authorising military action against Islamic State and Al Nusra under article 42 of the UN Charter. Both terrorist organisations have been the subject of many unanimous Security Council resolutions declaring them to be a threat to world peace and security—but all such resolutions have stopped short of authorising military action.

Climate change poses significant national security challenges for the United States and will create large-scale political instability, social disruption and food shortages, according to the nation’s intelligence agency. It marks the latest of many dire government warnings under President Obama about the ills of global warming and this one comes from the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI), though the agency concedes it’s based on information provided by the famously corrupt United Nations (UN). That the nation’s intelligence agency has blindly adopted the information as fact is almost more alarming than the warnings outlined in its 13-page report...

The best secular argument in the world against evolution is the Progressive Movement. While it is a movement, the only direction it is going perfectly follows Newton's Second Law, moving America and the world from a relative state of order, to complete disorder. One must only look to the policies and practices of those champions of Progressivism to see how the tenets of this movement tear down not only the very basis of the family, but the structure and guidelines for living as given to us by God in Scripture. Touting it as an "enlightened" way of seeing problems, followers...

UN is reduced "a frothing of words." Any real diplomatic solution to the Syrian conflict, which has taken hundreds of thousands of lives, displaced millions of people, precipitated a refugee crisis of historic proportions, is further away than ever “There were no conclusions reached.” This is how the outgoing president of the United Nations Security Council described the Security Council’s response on September 29th to the latest horrors against civilians being inflicted daily upon innocent civilians, including little children, in eastern Aleppo and elsewhere in Syria. At its September 29th open meeting preceding closed consultations, the Security Council had heard...
