Russia and America could co-sponsor a draft resolution to the Security Council authorising military action against Islamic State and al-Nusra
Russian UN Ambassador Vitaly Churkins assumption of the Presidency of the United Nations Security Council for October could have a lightning rod effect on the Security Council finally authorising military action against Islamic State and Al Nusra under article 42 of the UN Charter.
Both terrorist organisations have been the subject of many unanimous Security Council resolutions declaring them to be a threat to world peace and securitybut all such resolutions have stopped short of authorising military action.
Oh dear God - please do not get the UN involved in anything.
All it will result in is an ineffectual, corrupt, twisted, globalist power-grab.
The United nations doesn’t need military forces at all.
EXACTLY! The UN is not a sovereign nation!
Obama will not allow anyone to halt the advance of his caliphate army. The UN won’t be allowed interfere either.
UNaccountable bureaucrats (socialists) will aid & abet and/or make excuses for ISIS. Totalitarians of a feather...
DEFUND/DISMANTLE/DESTROY (when necessary) socialist/totalitarian collectives, foreign and domestic.
I was going to comment, then I read yours and thought, humm, I think he covered it all.
al-Nusra = US. And ISIS = US 3 days a week.
These are 0bama’s boys
Why would the US militarily confront its own agents?
Anyone who can’t come to grips with ISIS/Al-Nusra and a host of other terrorist gangs being extensions of the US State Department shouldn’t be allowed to publish articles, lest we reach critical density of stupid.
Maybe their soldiers can give ISIS the clap?
The U(seless) N(othings) are exactly that.
US OUT OF UN; UN OUT OF US, NOW!
To the left, the United Nations Security Council is the be-all end-all when a Republican is POTUS.
When a Democrat is POTUS...not so much.
(Just an observation.)
And pigs could fly and ...... all before the UN did anything useful.
If anyone truly believes that the UN should intervene militarily in anything, including a playground pushing match, he need only look at the actions of the UN “peacekeeping” force in Rwanda.
