A legal training was scheduled at the Catholic Charities headquarters on November 3,2014. It was to help provide legal counsel ("pro-bono") on behalf of UAC's primarily arriving from Central American failed states. The CLE (continuing legal education) course was offered in exchange for representing at least one UAC client. The training is to enlighten the loopholes evolved from the UN Trafficking Agreement (TVPRA) signed by President Bush in 2000. On Friday, September 26,2014 a luncheon was scheduled at the First Circuit Court of Appeals. It was a meeting arranged by Judge Michael Massengale and the Activist Catholic Charities helping to arrange relief for Unaccompanied Minors crossing the borders in droves and explain their vulnerabilities as they encounter our legal system. The goal here, in brief, is to get the word out to the legal community to provide "pro-bono" assistance and train these attorneys to understand the various statuses in refugee,asylum,traffficking law. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is welcoming members of Congress and their senior staff to tour a temporary shelter being used to house illegal immigrant children — but the invite comes with a list of rules, including a suggestion that members leave their cellphones in their vehicles.
