US actress Marilyn Burns, best known for her "scream queen" role in horror classic The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, has died aged 65. Robert Redford is suing New York state related to the sale of Sundance Channel. The actor-director sued the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance in Albany County Supreme Court on July 30 claiming that he's being overtaxed on money his company made when it sold off a stake in the channel in 2005.

The NBCUniversal-owned cable network has put into development Ghost Brigades, a drama based on John Scalzi's Hugo-nominated Old Man's War universe book series, The Hollywood Reporter has learned. I found this 2012/2013 British series while looking for material to quench my thirst for dystopian themed movie and TV shows. I was quite surprised to find such a contemporary and modernistic show. Like most British TV shows, seasons are called series and they range from 3 to 12 episodes per series and an hour to two per episode.
