She might be more familiar with democracy, but top House Democrat Nancy Pelosi is soon going to show her expertise on a certain kind of monarchy: The California congresswoman is slated to appear as a guest judge on RuPaul’s drag-queen competition show “Drag Race All Stars.” Yep, the former House speaker will be sizing up the runway action as Mama Ru’s bewigged ladies strut their stuff in search of the coveted crown. Sure, a pol like Pelosi might be an unconventional choice of judge for the VH1 show (other celebs guest-judging the upcoming season include “High School Musical” actress Vanessa...

For all of the excitement the NFL generated with last weekend’s Divisional Round of the playoffs, the league still drew 23 million fewer viewers than it did a season ago. Even the Minnesota Vikings’ dramatic last-second victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday represented a major Nielsen ratings disappointment as 35.6 million viewers tuned into Fox compared to 48.5 million for last season’s Green Bay Packers-Dallas Cowboys matchup in the same time slot. The equally exciting Jacksonville Jaguars upset of the Pittsburgh Steelers garnered only 31.4 million viewers compared to a Steelers-Kansas City Chiefs matchup during the same time...

Few movie cars are as instantly recognizable as the 1968 Ford Mustang that Steve McQueen drove in "Bullitt." That Highland Green car known now simply as the Bullitt Mustang took on a 1969 Dodge Charger on the streets of San Francisco in one of the greatest car chases captured on film. For decades, the original car was thought to be lost. That wasn't entirely the case. It's simply been kept out of the public's eye. Now it returns to the spotlight, finally taking its rightful place next to its successor, the new 475-horsepower 2019 Ford Mustang Bullitt.

HLN's Ashleigh Banfield has hit back at journalist Katie Way, after the Babe.net reporter wrote an insulting email about the host. Banfield, 50, read the letter Way wrote, which included ageist language stating 'nobody under the age of 45 has heard of,' her during Tuesday's Crime & Justice.

The National Alliance of Theater Owners (NATO) announced Wednesday that the national ticket average for 2017 rose 3.7 percent year-over-year to $8.93, up from $8.65 last year. At that average, the estimated number of movie tickets sold last year is 1.23 billion. While that is only a rough estimate that does not account for the higher ticket prices for premium formats and theaters in more expensive cities like New York and Los Angeles, NATO’s estimate is the lowest since 1993, when “Jurassic Park” was the top grossing film of the year and an estimated 1.24 billion tickets were sold.

Would you believe that Bruce Lee was a Jedi? The late actor was one of the most famous martial artists in the world when he died in 1973, four years before the original Star Wars hit theaters. But this week, the unexpected mash-up of Lee and Star Wars took place when a fan re-edited a scene from Fist of Fury by giving Lee’s attacker a red lightsaber of the Sith while Lee wielded lightsaber nunchucks (or nunchaku) as he displayed his superior skills with his “elegant weapon…for a more civilized age.” This video was made and posted by Patrick Nan...

Heads up: this post contains spoilers for The Last Jedi. Why are you reading this article if you haven't seen it and, furthermore, WHY HAVEN'T YOU SEEN IT YET? It is utterly tragic that MRAs aren’t given the respect they deserve. It’s truly galling that just because their entire worldview was formed around a profound sense of entitlement induced by watching thousands of hours of harem anime, no one takes them seriously. It’s heartbreaking to think that people dismiss them out of hand just because – instead of addressing actual issues like the rates of suicide and depression among men...

The mythical Fountain of Youth isn’t made of water, after all, but vodka — at least, according to Betty White. The famously spry comic actress, who turns 96 today, gave good news to those struggling to make it through January by offering some sage insight into her longevity. She told Parade magazine that she loves vodka and hot dogs, “probably in that order.” She may be on to something — a recent study found that adults who were moderate drinkers were more than 20 percent less likely to die early of any cause. White added that she’s also made it...

Based on the classic sci-fi novel by Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451 is an upcoming TV movie starring Michael B. Jordan and Michael Shannon. We've seen some images from the movie, and now HBO has graced us with the first footage.

In the three-plus decades that I have been a professional stand-up comic, the one thing I never worried about was an existential threat to comedy itself. Sure the humorless always have been and always will be among us, but they have usually been on the fringes of society, especially in a free speech-loving republic like the United States of America. Right?
