Colorado's six-time Olympic gold medal winning swimmer Amy Van Dyken-Rouen says agents with the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) humiliated her. She took to social media Sunday to detail her experience getting through security at Denver International Airport. She said agents made her go through a full body search even though she has Pre check. "They go around your breasts, they basically go under your butt and the just grab things, not grab, they touch things that are not appropriate and it's really embarrassing," said Van Dyken-Rouen. The additional security was triggered by a juice pouch Vendela accidentally left in her carry-on bag. "It was excessive, it was invasive, I was pretty much boiling in my head," he told ABC News. Denver International Airport authorities have released internal videotape of a former Transportation Security Administration screener at DIA allegedly groping male passengers last February. CBS4 obtained the redacted videotape Tuesday after filing a Colorado Open Records Act request for the tape. Authorities had refused to release the tape for months citing an ongoing criminal investigation. But in July the Denver district attorney said there would be no criminal charges in the case clearing the way for the release of the videotape. Although no criminal charges were filed, TSA fired screener Ty Spicha and his coworker Yasmeen Shafi after the alleged groping...

Over the course of my six years with the TSA, the leveraging of rules and surveillance tools to abuse passengers was a daily checkpoint occurrence. Has the TSA screener searching your luggage suddenly decided to share with you the finer points of official bag-search procedure just as your final boarding call is being announced? Theres a good chance that he or she just doesnt like you. Or in some cases, as weve seen, it may be that the screener finds you attractive and wants to use the TSA rules as an excuse to get his or her hands on you.

Thanks to the TSA, air travel is unpleasant enough as it is and now we have to worry about TSA agents stealing from us? And there's no way to NOT have them go through your luggage. They go through your checked baggage and rifle through your carry-on. You have no choice but to submit to this if you want to be able to board your flight. So what is a law abiding air traveler to do in order to protect his or her belongings from the very...

I knew that, by and large, TSA agents were a dour, rigid lot with no respect for freedom and human dignity, but until I heard about this latest incident, I didn't know that they were soulless too. In July of last year, Indiana resident John Gross was flying out of Orlando International Airport on a return trip to Indiana with his grandfather's remains in an air tight glass container clearly marked "Human Remains". This shouldn't have been a problem, folks. TSA has rules about this sort of thing and those rules state that crematory remains are allowed in a carry-on...

It looks like the powers that be at the TSA might have finally gotten something right. In 2011, the TSA began what would be close to a year long investigation into lax luggage screening procedures at New Yorks Newark Liberty International Airport. Hidden cameras at the airport showed dozens of TSA agents doing a half-assed job screening checked baggage and failing to physically search flagged luggage altogether. This same investigation, which originally began as a probe to investigate numerous allegations of items being stolen from checked baggage inside one of the screening room, also found incidents of TSA agents sleeping...

Transportation Security Administration officers humiliated a Marine who lost both legs to an Improvised Explosive Device by requiring the wheelchair-bound Marine to stand and walk. They also had him remove both his prosthetic legs, according to a letter from Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-California). In his complaint to TSA Administrator John Pistole, Hunter described the Marine as being humiliated by the TSAs actions, based on accounts of the incident last week in Phoenix, Arizona. The individual escorting this Marine asked the TSA officer which of the two checkpoints to enter and received the response, either one, only to be told moments...

Claire McCaskill @clairecmc Today in my airport screening, test on my hands was positive. Got private, more aggressive pat down. OMG. #veryuncomfortable A routine airport screening turned absurd today when TSA officials gave a sitting U.S. Senator an aggressive security pat-down. What exactly was on Sen. McCaskills hands that could have caused TSA such concern?

"Look what one agent did to his own 75-year-old mother "Some might consider it one of the most important jobs in America after the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks: Protecting the nations airports, airplanes and citizens from would-be terrorists hell-bent on mass murder. But the TSA screeners patting you down and combing through your belongings dont have federal law-enforcement training, may earn about as much as a McDonalds shift manager and are not required to possess a high-school diploma or GED. In fact, they might even be criminals. If recent news reports are any indication, many Americans cant even trust...
