With altered trade deals, regulations, and tax rates Trump can bring back manufacturing to the USA. He can't, however, bring back manufacturing jobs to the USA. Discuss.

First Trump had a great speech on immigration with his 10 point plan. It does look like he is going soft on deporting everyone though. Hopefully not as immigration softening is not good. But now the bad news...Trump still hasn't embraced the wisdom of free trade. Make no mistake about it - just as prochoice = baby killing, fair trade = economy crushing protectionism. Has anybody seen any sign that Trump is coming over to the free trade globalist camp? My only hope is that he will "soften" his position on trade deals just as he seems to be softening...

At the same time that Russia is condicting its latest massive military drill on the border with Ukraine, and one day after the latest stark warning by Ukraine' president Poroshenko that the simmering conflict with Russia may be set to explode again when he said on national TV that “the probability of escalation and conflict remains very significant" adding that "we don’t rule out full-scale Russian invasion", Russian president Putin made a not so subtle point that Crimea will not be relinquished when he flew into contested territory on Friday, one day after staging war games there, and said he...

Clinton leads Trump 49% to 39% in a head-to-head Fox News survey released Wednesday. In a three-way race including Libertarian Gary Johnson, Clinton leads 44% to 35%, with Johnson claiming 12%. When Fox polled voters in late June -- before both conventions -- Clinton was up only six points, 44% to 38%.

The Charlie Hebdo attack, the Kosher market, the Bataclan attack, Nice attack... yet it won't surprise me if we see more liberal "virtue signaling;" putting up quotes "in solidarity" with France, changing their profile pics to a translucent French flag, or even trying to use the occasion to stifle criticism of Muslimism. France was once one of the great civilizations of Europe. It was the first to follow in our footsteps against tyrannical government. It gave the world great wine, fashion and art as well. It even had representative democracy, of course until the Munich surrender, the surrender at Compiègne,...

Clintons a Liar, Dr Raouls costumes, AppyPappy's daughter singing the National Anthem, Kristinns wonderful reporting. The repugnant lies of Classy Green Eyed Blonde and DeepInTheHurtgenForest. The surreal cryptic posts of quidam. The lib trolls like Eschoir. The March for Justice? Heady times. They really were. Fighting against a President who had the gall to look us in the eye and lie to us. But the last 9 months? Absolutely unrecognizable. A lot of great FReepers run off. And...

George Zimmerman‘s gun sale attempt isn’t going very well. After having to move his online auction to a new site once already, the bidding on the weapon that killed Trayvon Martin seems to have been taken over by trolls determined to remind Zimmerman of his infamy. Despite his not-guilty verdict for the death of Martin four years ago, Zimmerman is a pariah to many for his apparent non-regret for the incident, and a myriad of controversial statements from him since then. Zimmerman posted the gun to be sold on United Gun Group, but the auction seems to have been taken...

We all know that a default was inevitable on the debt. There is no way to pay back all obligations within severs lifetimes. Any possibility that Trump was chosen because of his outsider status to win? He would take the blame for the default and retire after a term, then the uni-party could continue with business as usual.

Admitting that the political situation is extremely volatile, the non-partisan Cook Political Report has shifted 11 states toward Democrat Hillary Clinton for the November election. The Hill: “This has been an exceedingly unpredictable year,” the analyst said. “Although we remain convinced that Hillary Clinton is very vulnerable and would probably lose to most other Republicans, Donald Trump's historic unpopularity with wide swaths of the electorate — women, millennials, independents and Latinos — make him the initial November underdog.”  Colorado, Florida, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Wisconsin were all shifted from toss-up states to leaning Democratic. The “solid Republican” states Missouri and Indiana were...

It’s a safe bet that many if not most who support Ted Cruz are not aware of the Cult that goes with that support, the kind of demon that they would be putting in charge of our nation. One that falsely professes to be a Christian but unlike anything most of us would associate with legitimate Christianity. It’s time for Cruz supporters to open their eyes and see what it is that has control over their judgment. They’re voting and advocating for a cultish figure, one not very different from Jim Jones and Jonestown.

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Republican Ted Cruz faces a high-stakes test for his slumping presidential campaign in Tuesday's Indiana primary, one of the last opportunities for the Texas senator to halt Donald Trump's stunning march toward the GOP nomination. Cruz has spent the past week camped out in Indiana, securing the support of the state's governor and announcing retired technology executive Carly Fiorina as his running mate. Yet his aides were pessimistic heading into Tuesday's voting and were prepared for Cruz to fall short. With polls predicting a loss, campaign officials were bracing for immediate staffing cuts "at a minimum," according...

Indiana was supposed to be where Ted Cruz stopped Donald Trump's recent east coast winning streak. Like Horatius at the bridge, the Texas senator would turn back the Trump throng. Instead the primary on Tuesday could prove his final undoing. A Monday afternoon campaign event in the tiny town of Marion, Indiana (population 29,000) gave a taste of what Mr Cruz is up against. It was supposed to be a feel-good gathering, the candidate's first public appearance with Mike Pence since the Indiana governor had thrown his support to the Texan last week. That was before a small knot of...

With Indiana primary voters headed to the polls in less than 24 hours, Ted Cruz said he will "absolutely" have a path to victory even if he loses the next GOP presidential nominating contest. "We intend to do absolutely everything possible to win tomorrow. It's gonna be up to the people of Indiana," Cruz told ABC News while campaigning in Osceola, Indiana. "The polls have been all over the place. There has literally been a 30-point swing depending on what poll you are looking at. We are neck-and-neck right now in the state of Indiana."

Exit polling from the Wisconsin primary shed some light on which of the three remaining GOP candidates might have the best chance of uniting the Republican party going into November. Voters were asked about their "feelings" if Donald Trump, John Kasich, or Ted Cruz were elected as president. In response, 41 percent said they would be "excited" or "optimistic" if Trump were elected, while 58 percent said they would be "concerned" or "scared"—for a net score of minus-17 points (41 percent excited/optimistic to 58 percent concerned/scared).-snip- Finally, 60 percent said they would be "excited" or "optimistic" if Cruz were elected,...
