We can hardly be surprised to learn the FBI previously interviewed New York City truck terrorist Sayfullo Habibullaevic Saipov for a terror-related investigation. The FBI interviewed Saipov in 2015, according to sources. We believe it was Bureau agents in Florida but we are checking. Saipov previously lived in Florida before moving to Paterson, NJ. This story seems to be taking on similar FBI undertones of Orlando jihadist Omar Mateen who was interviewed by the FBI four times prior to killing 50 people at the Pulse nightclub in the name of Islam. Evidence has emerged of another Islamic State militant group (ISIS) mass execution, this time in the Syrian Christian desert town of Al-Qaryatain. The militant group killed at least 116 civilians in executions committed in the days before the Syrian regime recaptured the town, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR), a U.K.-based monitoring group with an extensive network of contacts in Syria. “ISIS has over a period of 20 days executed at least 116 civilians in reprisal killings, accusing them of collaboration with regime forces,” SOHR chief Rami Abdelrahman told the Agence France-Presse news agency.

An improvised explosive device was detonated around 5 p.m. Thursday in a parking lot located at the intersection of South Boundary Street and Francis Street near Merchants Square, according to Williamsburg Police. No one was injured, according to Williamsburg Police spokesman Maj. Greg Riley. The parking lot is across Francis Street from Berret’s Seafood Restaurant and Taphouse Grill. Across from South Boundary Street from the parking lot is the College of William and Mary campus. The Williamsburg police and fire departments responded to what was initially reported as a car fire, Riley said.
