Not enough German high school students receive Islam religion lessons, according to a new study by the media info service Mediendienst Integration.Around 54,000 students at 800 schools across the country currently receive Islam religion lessons, a significant increase on the 42,000 who attended such lessons two years ago, according to official statistics from Germany’s 16 state education ministries. Sweden’s Minister of Social Affairs, Annika Strandhäll, told newspaper Aftonbladet that the country’s elderly and not refugees, are overloading the healthcare system. A European Commission poll has found that a strong majority of people in France, Germany, and Sweden believe the integration of migrants has failed in their country. A 17-year-old Syrian migrant was convicted of two counts of rape against a 12-year-old girl in a Swedish court this week, although he claimed he did not know that sex with a 12-year-old was illegal in the country.The 17-year-old, who has been identified as a Syrian asylum seeker by Swedish journalist Joakim Lamotte, is said to have raped the 12-year-old twice on the same day last June. A middle-aged Swedish woman was raped and abused by two Afghan asylum seekers in their asylum accommodation, Fria Tider reports. Sixty percent of voters want Sweden to take in fewer refugees than it currently does, according to an opinion poll. The Museum of Modern Art released surprisingly clear footage of what life was like in New York in 1911.
