A vehicle crashed into people in Drottninggatan in the Swedish capital and at least three have died, according to authorities. Police said it drove into department store Ahlens Mall around 3.40pm local time and there are reports of numerous others being injured. Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven said everything indicates that it is a "terror attack".

Update 11:02 am: Another statement from the Swedish police, which said it currently cannot rule out that attack in Stockholm is an act of terror, given recent events in the rest of Europe. A TRUCK has driven into crowds on a crowded street in central Stockholm. Some on social media say people have been spotted on the ground. Armed police are in the area, and a number of casualties have been reported. There are unconfirmed reports of at least three people killed in the incident.

Far-right group Soldiers of Odin targeted a Muslim school in a Stockholm suburb following reports the school had segregated its children by gender on the bus. The Al Azhar school in Vällingby told newspaper Stockholm Direkt that members of the anti-immigrant vigilante group had put up propaganda stickers in the schoolyard and filmed some of their pupils. “They started filming children in the schoolyard, and then they kicked a football away from some guys. An article by Rachel Aviv titled ‘The Trauma of Facing Deportation’ describes an unusual disorder known as ‘uppgivenhetssyndrom’ or ‘resignation syndrome’ that only exists in Sweden and is specific to the children of immigrants. Published in the April 3, 2017 issue of The New Yorker, Aviv describes how refugee children suffering from resignation syndrome fall into a coma-like state after being informed that their families will be expelled from the country. It is “disgusting” if girls at a private Islamic school in Stockholm are directed to the back door of a school bus while boys use the front door, as claimed by a television documentary, Sweden’s Prime Minister Stefan Löfven said Tuesday. “It does not belong in Sweden” to have primary schools dividing children, aged between 6 and 10, by gender, Löfven said. A group of Swedish football fans have launched a protest against a new ban on wearing masks at stadiums, exploiting an exception to the ban by wearing niqabs to cover their faces. On March 1st, the ban on wearing masks in the stands at Swedish football stadiums entered into force in an effort to combat violent behavior at games. Viral video out of Sweden reportedly shows three female police officers and one male struggling to control one violent asylum seeker. The video, which was originally shared Sunday on Facebook by Mikael Nyren, has managed to rack up 2.2 million views in less than 12 hours. Sweden will equip its future fleet of Gripen E fighters with an extended-range version of the Saab/Diehl Defence-produced RBS15 anti-ship missile, under a project worth SKr3.2 billion ($358 million). A Swedish man is facing charges in court after being accused of eating bacon too closely to a group of veiled Muslim women and calling them derogatory names. A prosecutor has charged a Syrian man with terror offenses, alleging that he started a fire at a Malmö community center in order to spread fear in the name of ISIS. Nobody was injured in the fire at a community center in Malmö owned by Shia Muslim organization Aldorr, but repair costs amounted to a million kronor ($113,000). The 30-year-old suspect, who denies the charges and the allegations he is a member of ISIS, is accused of throwing Molotov cocktails at the center on October 11th last year, causing smoke damage to the building. …
