MILWAUKEE -- Police on the scene of a suspicious package in downtown Milwaukee had to play defense when, out of nowhere, a man rushed to the package and spilled out the contents. The unidentified man was arrested for interfering with members of the Milwaukee County Bomb Squad. ELIZABETH, NJ – Police and emergency responders have shutdown train service at the main train station at Broad Street due to a suspicious package found under the nearby bridge tonight, September 18, according to Breaking News Network. The device is being reported as a possible pipe bomb but has not been confirmed at this time. The area including businesses has been evacuated. The Montgomery Explosives Ordnance Disposal and base security officials at Maxwell Air Force Base are responding to a report of a suspicious package. The package, found during a routine inspection, "gave a positive indication for explosives", according to officials. SANTA ANA – A package left outside the U.S. post office at 615 N. Bush St., contained paperwork, not explosives, Sgt. Tony Miranda said Saturday afternoon. The package was first spotted by a FedEx driver on Friday, who thought it was suspicious and reported it to his supervisor. But police didn't get a call until a passerby phoned Saturday morning, Miranda said. He didn't know why the package was suspicious. "It's not hissing or ticking. HANOVER, Md. - Sources tell ABC2News.com that several people have been injured after an explosion at the Maryland Department of Transportation Headquarters in Anne Arundel County. Sources also say it may have been an improvised explosive device. It happened just after 1pm Thursday afternoon. CNN) -- Suspicious packages found in at least two locations abroad that were bound for Jewish organizations in the United States "apparently contain explosive material," President Barack Obama said Friday, calling the discovery "a credible threat against our country." The packages led to increased searches of cargo planes and trucks in several U.S. cities, said law enforcement sources with detailed knowledge of the investigation. U.S. officials believe that al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, commonly referred to as AQAP, is behind the incident. Obama confirmed that the packages originated in Yemen, the stronghold of al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula.
