Two episodes from the children’s cartoon “Spongebob Squarepants” have been pulled by Nickelodeon. Nickelodeon has pulled an episode of SpongeBob Squarepants “due to sensitivities surrounding the global, real-world pandemic,” Nickelodeon’s Executive Vice President of Communications David Bittler said. The episode, titled “Kwarantined Crab,” features a virus storyline, where a health inspector requires patrons to quarantine at the Krusty Krab after discovering a “clam flu” virus. Nickelodeon confirmed that a second episode, “Mid-Life Crustacean,” has also been removed from the network and other streaming platforms. In the episode, SpongeBob, his friend Patrick and SpongeBob’s boss Mr. Krabs, break into a woman’s...

An Iranian cleric, Shahab Moradi, said Iran would struggle to hit back against the US by striking a parallel figure to Maj. Gen. Qassem Soleimani because the US has only "fictional" heroes. In the clip, Moradi says: "In your opinion, if anyone around the world wants to take their revenge on the assassination of Soleimani and intends to do it proportionately in the way they suggest — that we take one of theirs now that they've got one of ours — who should we consider to take out in the context of America? "Think about it. Are we supposed to...

Today’s Campaign Update (Because The Campaign Never Ends) Can somebody tell me why I still watch these things? – The NFL almost pulled off what I had always assumed was the utterly impossible last night, staging a Super Bowl game that was very nearly as boring and tedious as a damn soccer match. Yes, yes, yes, I know – it was a “great defensive battle,” right? Spare me, please. It was a game in which LA Rams quarterback Jared Goff played worse than any Super Bowl QB since at least Billy Kilmer and really since Joe Kapp in Super Bowl...

A woman dressed as Catwoman on Hollywood Boulevard is speaking out Friday after a pepper spray incident. Her name is Lydia and she tells CBS2′s Jeff Nguyen that she unleashed a canister of pepper spray Thursday night when she got into a scuffle with a character dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow. I am curious why none of the media covers the most important aspect of the Malvo shootings. If you look at Newspapers on the dates when the shootings are underway you discover something I find quite interesting. The shootings begin to dominate the news the day before the debate on the Iraq war starts and they catch them the day after the declaration of war??? If you ask most people "do you remember the debate about starting the second Iraq war", they will all answer "yes of course". But if you followup with the question "name one point in the...

I recently received a reply to a post that stated: "This should be beneath a "freeper". Sad." So I asked.. what is it that makes a FReeper? My reply (and I will admit was tasteless) was also questioning. It stirred controversy and was removed? Why Moderators? Can you not tell me? Did it not meet with your "FReeper" mentality? According to all posted guidelines it should be listed but no, you chose to delete it. Yes.. I'm the first one IBTZ, I'm sure you'll nick me for speaking up..

Many argue that communism will never be possible because of "human nature". The essence of this false argument is the belief that a communist society would consist of an all-powerful central government that would tell everybody what to do--and would therefore undermine the creative initiative of individuals and the search for happiness. • This argument is based on two false assumptions: (1) It assumes that a communist society will look like the former Soviet Union, or the current China, North Korea, etc (ie: corrupt police states with a feudal-style ruling class) (2) It assumes that people will only work in...

Heterophobia hit another low with recent attacks on James Dobson. Locally, anyone who might share his understanding of moral absolutes was skillfully demonized as endangering national security and being party to biblically motivated genocide, witch-burning, kidnapping, rape, slavery and murder. Apparently that kind of character assassination coupled with disgraceful, if not libelous, falsification of the facts represents liberalism's treasured standard for intellectual debate, forward-looking dialogue, openness to other worldviews and compassionate agape (unconditional) love. What was Dobson's crime? He had the fortitude to express grave concern about a video and accompanying lesson plans scheduled for distribution to 61,000 public and...

SpongeBob SquarePants, the wacky cartoon character who sparked a gay alert warning by U.S. Christian conservative groups, is neither gay nor straight. He is asexual, says his creator. At least two Christian activist groups said the innocent and hugely popular cartoon character SpongeBob and his best mate Patrick Starfish are being exploited to promote the acceptance of homosexuality. SpongeBob's creator, Stephen Hillenburg, 43, said the allegations are far-fetched and his agenda does not go beyond fun and entertainment. "It doesn't have anything to do with what we're trying to do," Hillenburg told Reuters in an interview on Friday, two days...

The purpose of FreeRepublic.com's multiple message boards is to limit the topics for each board to particular topics. Posting the same message on all the boards defeats the purpose of multiple-boards for special topics. It is very annoying to see the same message on every bulletin board. PLEASE!
