First Trump drew the harshest of criticism from the "establishment" over his comments on muslim immigration. Now as the waters start to recede a bit some things are emerging. Namely, it's starting to creep up on some that it's actually a fairly decent Idea. Everybody watched for the trap door to drop and listened for the snap of the noose. Nothing happened. Now emerging ... the war on social media and it's unfettered access to the plebeians. Social media is a problem for the "establishment". First immediate concern is ISIS and their successful social media propaganda campaign. How far behind...

Social media is big, and with old media embracing it we've seen local media in particular pump their social media follower count like it's the new ratings standard.... ....two days ago, when a tipster alerted me to WPLG's Twitter account @WPLGLocal10 and how fast they were gaining followers. They were literally adding 1,000+ followers per hour. Shortly after a few others emailed SFLTV about it, even viewers who found it humorous they're being followed and unfollowed by WPLG on Twitter. ....People we talked to alleged WPLG bought Twitter followers.... ...All told in the span of less than 3 days WPLG...

For some time I have been saying that Muslim immigration into the United States should be stopped until we can properly vet them or until the war with Islam is over. Donald J. Trump has been criticized by some for saying something similar. The new Speaker of the House Paul Ryan said yesterday that he disagrees-saying that "such views are not what this party stands for and more importantly it’s not what this country stands for." Politicians in Washington seem to be totally disconnected with reality. Research shows that there are 2.75 million Muslims living in the U.S. According to...

The US woke up on Friday to the news that Donald Trump was a full 20 percentage points ahead of Ted Cruz, his nearest rival, for the Republican nomination, and a good 16 percentage points higher than America’s top political analysts thought he would be. Running on a platform of “making America great againâ€, his campaign has been noteworthy for Trump’s egregious widespread insults and total fabrications, on a gargantuan scale. The most recent of which was him claiming to have seen “thousands of Muslims†dancing in the streets of New Jersey after 9/11. No evidence exists of this, because...

A Facebook profile established under an alias by Tashfeen Malik, one of the suspects in the California shooting, was removed by the company for violating its community standards, which prohibit praise or promotion of "acts of terror," a spokesman said Friday. Content celebrating leaders of the Islamic State would be removed under the company's standards, said a Facebook Inc spokesman, who asked not to be named.

ISIS has expanded its selection of channels, sharing their message in 12 languages.

In his two presidential runs, President Obama’s social-media strategy was on point. In 2012, he completely outdid Mitt Romney on the major social networks, when it came to likes, posts or followers. Republicans have learned their lesson and many increasingly focus their energy and money online.According to Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings, there were around 1.2 million tweets about Tuesday’s Fox/Wall Street Journal debate within the United States. About 6 million users saw one or more of those messages.Further data shows that about 225,000 people were tweeting and their 1.2 million tweets were seen in total around 181 million times. These...

n an age of security cameras and videos shot on mobile devices, the PA has been left behind, and its famous propaganda machine has suffered a heavy blow. Even world media criticized Abbas' lie about the "dead" Ahmad Manasra. It was a pretty embarrassing moment for MSNBC. It isn’t every day that a journalist reporting from the field is reproached by a news anchor during a live broadcast for distorting reality. But that’s exactly what happened last week in connection with a stabbing attempt at Damascus Gate. In case you haven’t seen the viral video, here is what happened: Ayman...

No matter what the purpose or how we use Facebook or Twitter, we have become a dangerously narcissistic nation addicted to social media We have become a narcissistic nation hooked on social media 24/7. If we look around in every direction possible, we see people with their eyes downcast and locked onto illuminated and addictive rectangular devices that consume many waking moments of each day. These smart devices glow in the dark on the driver’s side while cars swerve or seem to drive themselves. It won’t be long before driverless cars will be made available by the global government elites...

Watch the video at the link. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz dominated the social media conversation during the Republican debate on CNBC last night, largely for using the media as a punching bag. The third GOP debate lacked some of the fire of the previous two contests and had a new target for criticism: the media. Our analytics partners at Zignal Labs tracked more than 650,000 mentions of the GOP field during the two-hour debate - way down from the chatter in the previous debates. But Cruz scored the night's biggest moment with his criticism of the media’s questions. Here’s a...

Here are some English-language tweets from jihadis fighting for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria, also known as ISIS: “I just noticed our martyred brother r.a. had a tumblr (I know, how could I have missed it). Make sure to check it out.” And: “This Syrian guy next 2 me (AbuUbayadah) is so stoked for our op he almost shot his foot off. Come on bro—safety 1st. :p” And: “Put the chicken wings down n come to jihad bro.” In “Fighting ISIS Online,” MIT Technology Review’s senior writer, David Talbot, describes what a Google policy director has called the...

On the backdrop of the recent wave of Palestinian terrorism in Israel, several hashtags were launched on social media in Arabic, such as "The Intifada Has Started," "The Third Intifada," "The Jerusalem Intifada," "The Knife Intifada," "Poison the Knife before You Stab," and "Slaughtering the Jews."[1] These hashtags serve as platforms for virulent incitement against Jews and calls to harm them. Many Twitter accounts using these hashtags expressed joy at the attacks, called the perpetrators "heroes," threatened more attacks soon, and encouraged others to carry out similar stabbings. The following is a sampling of posts under the aforementioned hashtags since...

After left-wing media went crazy over Dr. Ben Carson's comments about whether or not he'd vote for a Muslim president a few weeks ago, and he gained 100,000 new Facebook "Likes" as a result, I decided to begin tracking how many new Facebook followers each of the GOP candidates were attracting weekly. What I found may surprise you. Candidates perceived as part of the "establishment," such as Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, John Kasich, Lindsey Graham, and George Pataki had surprisingly few followers considering their name recognition and experience. My initial research revealed Jeb Bush had the most followers amongst the...

The cutting edge of print journalism that is Cosmopolitan labeled the Kardashians as “America’s First Family” on the cover of its 50th anniversary issue in November. Needless to say, America (i.e. Twitter) does not agree with this sentiment, and has taken it upon itself to educate the half-a-century-old magazine. According to Uproxx, 16 pages of next month’s issue are dedicated to the family clan made famous by sisters Kim and Khloe‘s exploits in reality television, smartphone apps, and many, many other business endeavors. At this point, the Kardashian family is no longer a family — it’s a brand. Whether or...

Donald J. Trump ✔ ‎@realDonaldTrump I just wrapped up a Q&A @TwitterNYC. Thanks for all your questions! #AskTrump 12:36 PM - 21 Sep 2015 Donald Trump's spirit animal is Twitter's little blue bird. The billionaire developer, former reality TV star and putative leading candidate for the Republican presidential nomination has turned his social media accounts into one-stop shops for his thoughts and views for millions of people without having to spend a dime. And while other candidates have made concerted efforts to craft digital strategies aimed at reaching new and younger constituencies through media like Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram, none...
