This year I went to the Veteran’s Day celebration at my grandkids school, which does an outstanding job. I sat next to a 103 year old survivor of the Pearl Harbor attack. He was a PBY crewman, and somehow made it through the entire war. These reconnaissance aircraft were so vulnerable, that the squadron in the Guadalcanal area said their call sign of NNOK stood for “notify next of kin”. Neither of us could hear that well even with hearing aids, but we two Navy men had a grand time.Winston Churchill’s assessment of the attack is found on page 606...
  • Remembering the men of the USS Arizona on Pearl Harbor Day

80 years after the day that will live in infamy, let’s remember the men who lost their lives on the USS Arizona. I’m so privileged that one of the two remaining Arizona survivors, Lt. Cmdr. Lou Conter (Ret.) has become a dear friend. I attended his 100th birthday celebration in September, and visited him recently. He’s doing great, but the rigors of traveling to Hawaii and attendance at the public observances would be a bit much. As I do every Pearl Harbor Day, I offer my son’s 2017 Eagle Scout project video biography of Mr Conter. https://youtu.be/T_L0kWTqPiA

Pearl Harbor: The First Overt Act “…the Japanese aviators at that time [7 December 1941] were all charged up to go fight. Our people were not charged up to go fight, until after Pearl Harbor was hit.”(1) Although it has been eighty years since the Japanese delivered the first substantial overt act against the United States of the Second World War, nothing yet published has reasonably explained how the Army and Navy in Hawaii were taken by apparent surprise. Having spent the past thirty-eight years studying and analyzing Pearl Harbor and America’s entry into World War II, we, the authors...

On Dec. 7, 1941, the Empire of Japan bombed the U.S. Pacific Fleet which was stationed in Pearl Harbor on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. In addressing Congress the next day, President Roosevelt called it “a date which will live in infamy.” But Roosevelt’s reputation should live in infamy too. The line that Roosevelt enthusiasts and left-wing historians have peddled for so many years is that the attack was a complete surprise. Here’s a sample from The American Pageant, a typical left-wing American history textbook widely used in American high schools: Officials in Washington, having “cracked” the top-secret code of...

"I will visit Pearl Harbor" with Obama, he told reporters in comments broadcast live on television. Abe, who will be in Hawaii on December 26 and 27, will visit the site of the surprise Japanese attack on December 7, 1941, that began World War II in the Pacific.

"Operation Bite" : the much-ballyhooed "sneak attack" by US forces on Iran was SUPPOSED to happen yesterday...but didn't. It's beginning to look as if the whole story -including the "high-ranking Russian official" - was an Alex Jones 9/11 "Truther" scam from the get-go ! Could it have been a ploy to raise gold prices ???

ONE wonders what Osama bin Laden and his ilk learned from Hiroshima.

The decision to incinerate the Japanese city and another, Nagasaki, was not taken in anger. White men in gray business suits and military uniforms, after much deliberation, decided that the United States could not give the Japanese any warning, that although it could not concentrate on a civilian area, it should seek to make a profound psychological impression on as many inhabitants as possible. They argued that it would be cheaper in American lives to release the nuclear genie.

December 7th, 1941 -Pearl Harbor Remembrance! ============================================================ Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto planned the Pearl Harbor attack. Two things inspired Yamamoto's Pearl Harbor idea: a prophetic book and a historic attack. The book was The Great Pacific War, written in 1925 by Hector Bywater, a British naval authority. It was a realistic account of a clash between the United States and Japan that begins with the Japanese destruction of the U.S. fleet and proceeds to a Japanese attack on Guam and the Philippines. When Britain's Royal Air Force successfully attacked the Italian fleet at Taranto on November 11th, 1940, Yamamoto was...
  • In Danny Pearl Book, Lévy Says Next 9/11 Brewing in Pakistan

In Danny Pearl Book, Lévy Says Next 9/11 Brewing in Pakistanby Ron Rosenbaum "I had the feeling," Bernard-Henri Lévy says, "that the 21st century really began with the collapse of the Twin Towers and the murder of this single man, Daniel Pearl." Both are deeply symbolic killings. What’s more, he contends, the same forces behind both crimes are now planning something far worse."It will make 9/11 look prehistoric," Mr. Lévy says. What he learned in investigating the death of Wall Street Journal reporter Pearl, he contends, brought him face to face with the specter of the next 9/11. From the...

It's Time To Wake Up, Again by Jon Alvarez Wake up America! We're falling asleep again. I say this because people I talk to, letters printed in local papers, and poll numbers all indicate that Americans have already fallen back into their old routines. Who could have ever imagined that within two years of 9/11 President Bush would appear vulnerable to a Democratic Surrender Monkey? Who could have imagined that terrorism would not be at the top of the list of American concerns? Since 9/11 we have been in a state of war, yet the media and the Democrats have...
