California Republican Carly Fiorina said Friday it is "insulting" for radio host Rush Limbaugh to call a student activist a "slut" and "prostitute" because she is pushing for employers to pay for contraception. "That language is insulting in my opinion," said Fiorina, who launched an unsuccessful Senate bid against longtime California Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer in 2010, on "CBS This Morning." "It's incendiary and most of all, it's a distraction. It's a distraction from what are very real and important issues," the former chief executive of Hewlett-Packard said. At least one advertiser, The Sleep Train, has pulled its advertising from...

Kim Kardashian is speaking up about something very important to her, and it’s not hair, makeup, or her baby, North. It’s gun control. The pregnant superstar, 34, went on a Twitter rant Wednesday after reading news of the horrific deaths of Valerie Jackson, her husband, and six of her children in Houston Texas. ‘Have u heard of the heart breaking story about David Conley who slaughtered his ex-girlfriend & her entire family! Her 6 kids, husband & her!’ she tweeted.

Sarah Palin is lashing out at the media for how it has covered the sexual abuse revelations about "19 Kids And Counting" star Josh Duggar while giving "Girls" star Lena Dunham a free pass. Writing on her Facebook page, Palin compared the media storm over Duggar, whose parents confirmed on Fox News this week that he had “improperly touched" some of his sisters when he was a teenager, to that of Dunham, who wrote in her book "Not That Kind of Girl" that, as a 7-year-old child, she gave candy to her 1-year-old sister in exchange for kisses and a...

Last summer, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” Sarah Michelle Gellar joked about how Obama’s motorcade in L.A. screwed up her plans to run errands. Today, she made a fun little crack about Obamacare, because — let’s face it — it’s just so easy: Finally got verified on #Instagram @sarahmgellar. It took me over three months .....thanks #ObamaCare 2:40 PM - 19 May 2015 But then, she followed up with this: And for the record - Obamacare was a joke. I'm neither #democrat or #republican (as some reports say) I'm an Independant thinker

This probably looks like an unusual topic for Hot Air, but the rather frivolous nature of the subject speaks to some deeper societal questions which cross all sorts of boundaries. In Connecticut, one high school issued guidelines for proper attire at the prom this year and it has some of the teenagers up in arms. (And a lot more than just arms are visible in some cases.) Shelton High School sent out a memo letting families know that their daughters should not show up looking like Lady Gaga on the red carpet when prom night comes. This is apparently...

Disgraced Utah teacher pleads guilty to sex with three teenage boys, avoids 11 other felony counts (VIDEO) BY JASON MOLINET A Utah teacher, whose string of sexual exploits with underage students were a "running joke" at Davis High School, pleaded guilty to sex with three boys in Davis County court. Brianne Altice, 35, accepted a plea deal to admit to three counts of second-degree felony forcible sexual abuse on Wednesday in exchange for prosecutors dismissing 11 other counts, The Salt Lake Tribune reported. Altice could have been subject to four separate trials had she not agreed to the deal.

<p>Bored after 18 years with her husband, Robin Rinaldi placed an ad seeking casual encounters with new men and women. She tells what happened on her yearlong sex odyssey in her memoir "The Wild Oats Project."</p>
<p>I broke the news to Scott that I wanted an open marriage in early 2008, a few months after his vasectomy. “I won’t go to my grave with no children and four lovers,” I told him repeatedly. “I refuse.”</p>

Sandra Fluke, whose sole qualification for public office was being called a slut by Rush Limbaugh, has had a very long 15 minutes of fame, but they may be over. With 100 percent of the votes counted, she was decisively defeated by fellow Democrat Ben Allen, a veteran local school official, running for a seat left vacant by the retirement of incumbent State Senator Ted Lieu.

Ok, I know. She's losing in a two person Democrat contest. But hey, it's something to smile about anyway.

Shameless. There's no other word to describe Monica Lewinsky. Sixteen years after her affair with President Bill Clinton became public knowledge, she's returned to the limelight with a campaign against cyberbullying -- of which she claims to have been "patient zero." Ignore the fact that she was patently not the primary victim in the Zippergate affair (poor Hillary Clinton was) or that any comparison with someone suffering a disease, especially at a time when people are dropping dead from Ebola, is tasteless in the extreme. What's most depressing is that when she rejoined the public stage, she said she was...

“There was a time when you knew who the bad girls were,†someone close to me once said. “Now you know who the good girls are.â€And I hear that all three of them are beside themselves over today’s state of affairs. “Lena Dunham: I Was Raped By a ‘Campus Republican,’†the headline reads, introducing the “Girls†star’s story about an alleged sexual assault at the hands of a “mustachioed†conservative undergrad while a student at Ohio’s Oberlin College nearly a decade ago. It’s perhaps a fanciful story, the kind you might expect to read in the National Enquirer or The...

The feminists held a “slut walk” in Chicago over the weekend. Nothing says feminism like women calling each other sluts. Their attempts to destigmitize the term slut by celebrating the sort of behavior that gets a girl labeled a slut says a lot about these folks. There’s nothing worse than “slut shaming,” which appears to be little more than calling a slut what she is. Interestingly one of the signs at the slut walk declared “all cops are bastards.” Apparently it’s acceptable to “slut shame” the mothers of police officers. None of the feminists saw the hypocrisy of such a...

Sandra Fluke, the free-birth-control and women's rights advocate, has complained over the course of her campaign for California State Senate that women do not have equal access to campaign funds as men do. Yet Fluke loaned herself $100,000 in campaign funds for the race in the 26th district, according to a new report by Bloomberg News.

In California the candidacies easily getting the most press are those of Sandra Fluke and Marianne Williamson, running for Senate in District 26, and Congress in District 33, respectively. California’s primary elections will be held on June 3. ... Here is what is frightening about a Sandra Fluke candidacy: she is a partisan hack who cares more about being in the limelight than she actually cares about the causes for which she supposedly champions. There is nothing serious about her save that she wishes to remain a mouth piece for the Democrat party. We have a president who burst upon...

“Thanks to the Drudge Report, I was possibly the first person whose global humiliation was driven by the Internet,” Monica Lewinsky writes in Vanity Fair. And though her affair with Bill Clinton may have kicked off our modern era of sex scandal — and set the standard for the boom-bust cycles of denial and apology, sexist fascination, and pseudo-celebrity — a lot has changed since 1998. A presidential candidate made a sex tape. Two U.S. Congressmen resigned over flirtations with women they never even met. Slut-shaming entered the lexicon, but so did cyberbullying, sexting, and reality star. Sixteen years after...

Sandra Fluke sounds the alarm over "potentially catastrophic" Hobby Lobby case Social justice attorney Sandra Fluke, now running for California State Senate, sounded the alarm Tuesday about the Hobby Lobby Supreme Court case, which pits the religious objections of the owners of corporations against Obamacare’s “contraception mandate.” In an opinion piece in The Washington Post, Fluke called the case a “potential catastrophe for women’s rights,” arguing that “corporations cannot have religious views” and a rule in the favor of religious objections would set America on a dangerous course. USA Today reports that the first day of the hearings did not...

PHOENIX (Reuters) - An Arizona judge on Monday set a September court date to try again to determine whether convicted murderer Jodi Arias will be put to death for killing her ex-boyfriend nearly six years ago, court officials said. Arias was convicted by a jury in May 2013 of murdering Travis Alexander, whose body was found slumped in the shower of his suburban Phoenix home in June 2008. He had been stabbed multiple times, shot in the face and had his throat slashed. But the jury deadlocked on whether the former California waitress should be executed or face life in...

As an embarrassed Joe Scarborough said, Mika Brzezinski didn't have her "filter on" this morning. On today's Morning Joe, Brzezinski broke out a lurid tale of how as a young woman she had been held "hostage" by the son of the President of Lebanon, who apparently had hijinks on his mind. Scarborough had just teased Mika with a variation on his running joke of how she vacations in the south of France. Joe jibed that in retaliation for France's sale of warships to Russia, Ukraine notwithstanding, Mika would be imposing personal sanctions on France by cutting back her weekend trips...

At 11 on a weeknight earlier this year, her work finished, a slim, pretty junior at the University of Pennsylvania did what she often does when she has a little free time. She texted her regular hookup — the guy she is sleeping with but not dating. What was he up to? He texted back: Come over. So she did. They watched a little TV, had sex and went to sleep. Their relationship, she noted, is not about the meeting of two souls. “We don’t really like each other in person, sober,” she said, adding that “we literally can’t sit...
