Tiger's life has definitely changed. Rachel Uchitel, the first woman who was romantically linked in the Tiger Woods affair scandal was reportedley paid off to keep quiet about the situation. Now RadarOnline is reporting that Uchitel told friends that she and Tiger would do drugs before having sex. Whether it is a coincidence...

Note: Almost all of these comments (and many more at the link provided) are from Muslims living in America.... (Shadow Lands)- Following the massacre at Fort Hood, Texas, some Muslim forums have been advising commenters to show restraint – for example here: would just advise everyone to choose their words very carefully. Regardless of how you feel, certian words can be construed as sedition. Why be locked up for celebrating on the forum the death of 12 people? not worth it.. so think about it So having thought about it carefully, here are some of the responses: OMG! 12 Maggots...

The Huckster took a swipe at Sarah Palin and he did it with a smile. He does everything with a smile, being far from the first snake I've seen that has himself one of those. At least she isn't a Mormon. He might cut her a little bit of slack. Why am I thinking Huck has now read every Palin column Andy Sullivan has ever written? The Hucky puck doesn't like it that he's being overshadowed by both Palin and Romney, who comes up in the interview, as well. Is Huck's real problem that Sarah may have blown him off...

Stay classy, MSNBC. On the day after the Republican Party showed gains in a few statewide elections and with key health care and cap-and-trade legislation pending, MSNBC went back to the well to do what it does best - attack the character of one of the network' favorite targets, former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. On the Nov. 4 broadcast of MSNBC's "Countdown," with fill-in host Lawrence O'Donnell substituting for Keith Olbermann (still MIA since New Jersey gubernatorial race went Republican), Michael Musto, gay columnist for The Village Voice and author of "La Dolce Musto" dressed up as Palin and reenacted...

Republican Dede Scozzafava endorsed her former Democratic opponent Sunday in the race for an upstate New York congressional seat, one day after Scozzafava dropped out of the contest. Scozzafava dropped out after Conservative Party candidate Dough Hoffman experienced a late-in-the-game surge. But on Sunday, Scozzafava backed Democrat Bill Owens -- the announcement was made in a statement send out by the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. "I am supporting Bill Owens for Congress and urge you to do the same," she said. "In Bill Owens, I see a sense of duty and integrity that will guide him beyond political partisanship. He...

Levi Johnston 'To Take Sarah Palin To Court' Over Child Custody The teenager who fathered Sarah Palin's 10-month-old grandson has delivered a fresh blow to the former Republican vice presidential candidate by saying he will "definitely" take her to court to gain access to his child. By Nick Allen in Los Angeles 30 Oct 2009 Levi Johnston, 19, who had a son called Tripp with Mrs Palin's eldest daughter Bristol, has been considering legal action for months but now says it is "inevitable" and that Mrs Palin is preventing him from seeing the boy. A court case over Tripp, during...

A federal grand jury is reportedly winding down its investigation into whether former senator John Edwards broke any laws when his political committees made payments to his former mistress, Rielle Hunter. But here’s a random question: why is Edwards, who quit the 2008 Democratic primary almost two years ago, still spending money from his presidential fund-raising accounts? Since January, the John Edwards for President committee along with a separate account, Edwards for President, have spent more than $625,000, according to reports filed with the Federal Election Commission. That’s not much compared to compared to usual Washington standards (A House race,...

Keith Olbermann is not one to pass up an opportunity to attack anything that even hints at being right of center. The repugnant MSNBC host devoted some three-quarters of his Sept. 16 show to claim criticism of President Barack Obama had to have elements of racism, no matter how you sliced it. And therefore, those critics were all despicable human beings, end of story. However, he did manage to find time to revert to old tried and true method of appeasing his angry left-wing desires - a little bashing of former Republican vice-presidential nominee and Gov. Sarah Palin, with an...

The handsome Yale lab technician Raymond Clark quizzed by cops in connection with the grisly slaying of brilliant grad student Annie Le allegedly forced an ex-girlfriend to have sex with him, according to a new report. The New Haven Independent reports on its Web site today that Clark dated the woman, who has not been identified, about six years ago when they were both in high school. According to a 2003 police report obtained by the newspaper earlier this week, she told police he forced her to have sex with him and he “confronted” her -- when against his wishes...

I thought it was a joke when Kanye showed up on the MTV Video Music Awards stage next to Taylor Swift, right in the middle of her acceptance speech for Best Female Video for "You Belong With Me." It was the first Moon Man for the 19-year-old country starlet, who has become an equally huge star in the pop world. "I always dreamed about what it would be like to win one of these one day," Taylor said with surprise. "I never thought it would happen.". As Taylor continued, Kanye interrupted, saying he thought Beyonce's "Single Ladies" video was wrongly...

Security: The ACLU sneakily photographing CIA officers near their homes, then showing the shots to the imprisoned planners of the 9/11 attacks. A fruitcake fantasy? The government is looking into exactly this. When the Washington Post three and a half years ago uncovered the CIA's "black prisons" program, in which enhanced interrogation was used against terrorist detainees to foil future atrocities, we forcefully argued that such secret wartime operations ought never be outed. The Post may have won a Pulitzer for its revelation, but we feel more strongly than ever today. And a new story in that same newspaper gives new...

We have few iconic couples from the 1960s and 1970s left. Sonny and Cher divorced and went their separate ways politically. Today another famous couple, comrades-in-arms and former collaborators in Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), Weatherman, and then Weather Underground — and now coauthors of the book Race Course Against White Supremacy — are bringing their show on the road. I am talking about Bill Ayers, once-fugitive “peace activist,” whose photo of him...

So much for the revolution. Security guards on Friday dragged the last of the renegade New York University students out of a campus cafeteria where they had been holed up in protest for three days. "Solidarity! Solidarity!" the fist-pumping rebels yelled as they were ousted from the Kimmel Center. Four students tried to flee a balcony after campus cops breached their barricade. The decision to shut down the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay was a dream come true for many Europeans, including anti-terrorism officials who largely have condemned the facility. But European officials admit that dismantling Gitmo could be something of a nightmare. The foreign ministers of the European Union recently vowed to help President Barack Obama keep his promise to shutter the prison on the coast of Cuba in a year. They offered to provide refuge for as many as 60 inmates who could face persecution in their native lands.

The teenagers weren't thinking about last-minute holiday purchases when they pulled into the Montgomery County shopping mall two days before Christmas. Instead, one of the teens later told police, the group went to the crowded mall to randomly shoot someone. Two of them opened fire in the parking lot of Westfield Wheaton Shopping Centre when they spotted members of a rival gang, police said. When the Bush Treasury decided to bail out Detroit, GM and Chrysler quickly said yes to the taxpayer cash, but Ford Motor Co. said it didn't need the money and declined. Ford's reward for this show of self-reliance? Treasury is now helping GM again by giving it a credit pricing advantage against Ford in the marketplace. That's one little-noted result of Treasury's action earlier this week to rescue GMAC, the GM credit arm that, as it happens, is 51% owned by the Cerberus private-equity shop that also owns Chrysler. With $5 billion in taxpayer cash in its pocket, GMAC quickly...

ATLANTA (Reuters) – A court in Atlanta sentenced a convicted murderer on Saturday to life in prison after he killed a judge in a courtroom and three other people in stunning escape from custody, prosecutors said. Brian Nichols was widely expected to receive the death penalty for a series of murders committed in March 2005 that gained instant notoriety and sparked a huge police and FBI manhunt. He was convicted in November. But after several days of deliberation this week the jury was deadlocked 9-3 on whether Nichols, 37, should receive life without parole or execution by lethal injection. The group, immigrants to Israel from the former Soviet Union, were sentenced to between one and seven years in jail. Israel was founded in the wake of the Nazi Holocaust in which millions died. One of those convicted was the grandson of a Holocaust survivor. There was widespread revulsion in...

SIERRA VISTA — Sunday’s protest against alleged torture training on Fort Huachuca brought a little money into the Sierra Vista city’s coffers, but it cost much more for city-provided security. According to records at the Sierra Vista Parks and Leisure Services, a Tucson resident paid $750 to rent Veterans’ Memorial Park for the day. Around 10 a.m., more than 150 protesters began to show up at the park for a nearly four-hour rally before walking west on Fry Boulevard to the corner of Fry and Buffalo Soldier Trail to demonstrate outside the post’s Main Gate. The former governor said Obama represented the best hope for an America facing an economic crisis.Former Republican Gov. One of the giant mortgage companies at the heart of the credit crisis paid $15,000 a month to a firm owned by Senator John McCain's campaign manager from the end of 2005 through last month, according to two people with direct knowledge of the arrangement. Mr. Davis's firm received the payments from the company, Freddie Mac, until it was taken over by the government this month along with Fannie Mae, the other big...

NEW YORK - Bill Clinton said Monday he understands why Sarah Palin is popular in the heartland. "I come from Arkansas, I get why she's hot out there," Clinton said. "Why she's doing well." Speaking to reporters before his Clinton Global Initiative meeting, the former president described Palin's appeal by adding, "People look at her, and they say, 'All those kids. John Lennon once sang that "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans." So, it seems, is politics. The news this morning that two of Wall Street's most storied firms, Merrill Lynch & Co. and Lehman Brothers Holdings Inc., were following their distinguished former competitor Bear Stearns toward extinction was met with misery and fear in living rooms and conference rooms across the country--and rightly so. "The biggest reshaping of the financial industry since the Great Depression," wrote Bloomberg News. "Catastrophe," added the New York Post. But something tells me that Barack Obama's brain trust didn't...

Another resident grabbed a shotgun and ordered him to put the knife down. When Bowman refused and began approaching, the person hit him with the butt end of the weapon, police said. Amie Parnes reports from Lebanon, VA: Obama poked fun of McCain and Palin's new "change" mantra. "You can put lipstick on a pig," he said as the crowd cheered. "It's still a pig." "You can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change. It's still gonna stink." "We've had enough of the same old thing." The crowd apparently took the "lipstick" line as a reference to Palin, who described the difference between a hockey mom and a pit bull in a single word: "lipstick."

It’s time for a sober reassessment of the Russian invasion of Georgia. This is more than a Putin power play or a cynical attempt to be taken seriously by the West. This is annexation. From the Wall Street Journal: Russian troops seized control of the economically vital Georgian port of Poti Tuesday morning, a day after Moscow said it had begun pulling its forces out of Georgia. At about 9 a.m. local time, some 70 Russian peacekeeping forces entered the port grounds on seven armored personnel carriers, according to Georgian government and port officials. They detained 20 Georgian soldiers stationed...

BAGHDAD — The militia that was once the biggest defender of poor Shiites in Iraq, the Mahdi Army, has been profoundly weakened in a number of neighborhoods across Baghdad, in an important, if tentative, milestone for stability in Iraq. It is a remarkable change from years past, when the militia, led by the anti-American cleric Moktada al-Sadr, controlled a broad swath of Baghdad, including local governments and police forces. But its use of extortion and violence began alienating much of the Shiite population to the point that many quietly supported American military sweeps against the group. Prime Minister Nuri Kamal...

S. Rep. Robert Wexler is Florida’s only member of Congress who does not own a home in his congressional district. The Democratic congressman ostensibly from Boca Raton or Delray Beach is under fire this week after he admitted on national TV that the only house he owns is in Maryland, and that he uses his in-laws’ home in a senior-only community in Delray to meet residency requirements. Wexler said in a statement that such an arrangement was “common.” However, a South Florida Sun-Sentinel survey of Florida’s 25 members of the U.S. House and two in the Senate found that all...
