Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin criticized the current immigration bill being considered by Congress and talked about how the recent scandals in Washington were indicative of a government that had become too big and intrusive. This was the closing speech of the three-day Faith and Freedom Coalition’s “Road to Majority” conference at the J.W. Marriott Hotel in Washington, D.C.

Now, I mentioned earlier in the program that "A federal judge on Wednesday ordered the US Health and Human Services Secretary to suspend existing organ allocation rules to give a 10-year-old Pennsylvania girl a better chance at a life-saving lung transplant." The judge is Michael Baylson. He´s a Bush, George W. Bush appointee. Judge Baylson "told Kathleen Sebelius to direct the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network, or OPTN, to make an exception to the so-called ´Under-12´ rule as it applies to Sarah Murnaghan, who has end-stage cystic fibrosis, for at least 10 days, until a hearing on June 14.

**Welcome Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion readers! Thanks Prof. Jacobson for making this your ‘post of the day’!** **Updated–see below** The IRS scandal is a very tangled web and I think it will be a while before we realize the depths of the issue. Just how many IRS officials are involved and how many organizations were targeted? The President is feigning ignorance while Steven Miller, the acting IRS commissioner, resigned earlier this week. For critics of this administration, this means little, as Miller was apparently resigning next month anyway. Today we learned of a second resignation. An internal IRS memo says Joseph Grant,...

Would you support Sarah Palin should she decide to run for the presidency in 2016?

May 3, 2013 - Taking the stage in a t-shirt that read "Women Hunt" in pink lettering, Sarah Palin riled up the crowd at today's NRA convention in Houston, Texas. Palin spoke for more than 12 minutes about her strong defense of the Second Amendment and other conservative principles. She even attempted to recreate her popular "Big Gulp" moment from her CPAC speech earlier this year by pulling out a tin of chewing tobacco and threatening to "dip" on stage. Like Michele Bachmann did on the floor of the House last week, Palin quoted her own version of Shakespeare during...

Not long ago Politico’s Maggie Haberman ran an anti-Palin opinion piece masquerading as news analysis, Sarah Palin’s next act: Candidate or ‘Kardashian’? I addressed that false choice in my post, Politico’s next act: Real News Organization or Gawker (no offense to Gawker), noting that Palin had backed numerous successful Republican rising stars: It’s hard for Politico to fathom, but maybe candidate or Kardashian are not the only options. Now Palin is back gearing up for 2014 to play a similar role as in 2010 and 2012, getting conservatives elected. And helping people shake off the malaise.

Politico’s latest cheap shot at Sarah Palin I’m not sure that this is the worst we’ve seen from Politico, but it’s right up there with Politico’s Cheapest Shot Yet from August 2011.From Maggie Haberman at Politico covering CPAC, Sarah Palin’s next act: Candidate or ‘Kardashian’? In January 2009, Sarah Palin had the world on a string. A potential Republican presidential field-clearer for the presidency, every sentence she uttered was news. A Fox News contract awaited her. So did book deals.Four years later, Palin is without a clear option for elected office — or a clear sense she has an interest...

The Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network is delighted to announce that Moe & Sana Maraachli will receive the 2013 Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Award at the first Terri Schiavo Life & Hope Network Award Gala on Friday, April 5, in Philadelphia. In 2011, an international controversy erupted over Joseph Maraachli (Baby Joseph) after Canadian physicians refused to perform a tracheotomy, calling the procedure invasive and futile. This would have ultimately led to Joseph’s imposed death. The Maraachlis courageously fought to have Joseph, who was diagnosed with a neurologic disorder called Leigh’s disease, transferred to the United States, contending...

After a three-year run as a paid contributor to the nation’s highest-rated cable news channel, Sarah Palin and FOX News have cut ties, according to a source close to the former Alaska governor. “It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism across the country and will be expanding her voice in the national discussion.” The source declined to say whether Palin would pursue a television contract with another news network, such...

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Fox News Channel are parting ways, according to a report in Real Clear Politics. After three years as a paid contributor for the channel, FNC and the former Republican vice presidential nominee have decided to cut ties. A source close to Palin told Real Clear Politics that it was the governor’s decision not to renew their contract. *“It’s my understanding that Gov. Palin was offered a contract by FOX, and she decided not to renew the arrangement,” the source close to Palin told RCP. “She remains focused on broadening her message of common-sense conservatism...

I have just received this sad communication from my sister-in-law about her sister, Sarah, who is suffering from breast cancer. She had been admitted to an acute care center in El Paso where she was to continue radiation and chemo, but has been returned to the hospital. (More in comments section.)

Sarah Palin told Americans, and conservatives in particular, to not lose heart following yesterday’s loss. From her Facebook page: America, don’t lose heart. This election is not an “Obama mandate,” nor is it a rejection of conservatism. Unanswered ads like this one running in blue collar swing states defined Romney early on, and the Obama media also piled on with the narrative that Romney would harm the middle class. (As I personally have witnessed, once a bell is rung by a biased media, it’s impossible to un-ring it.) Ironically, it’s Obama’s socialist policies that will destroy America’s working class as...

I’m sorry Fox cancelled all my scheduled interviews tonight because I sure wanted to take the opportunity on the air to highlight Senator John McCain’s positive contributions to America, to honor him, and to reflect on what a biased media unfairly put him through four years ago tonight. Granted, our honored and esteemed war hero has gone through much more than the liberal media can ever do to him in their efforts to harm this patriot. I look forward to hearing his words to his fellow Americans tonight more than any of the other convention speeches. God bless John McCain....

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - JULY 29, 2012 CONTACT: Ryan Gill at press@CampaignToDefeatObama.com or (650) 678-7732 Palin's Qualifications to Serve in White House Should Not Be QuestionedLloyd Marcus, the Chairman of leading conservative group Campaign to Defeat Obama PAC released the following statement today in response to an ABC news report that former Vice President Dick Cheney criticized Sarah Palin’s qualifications to serve in the White House: “To suggest that Sarah Palin does not possess the necessary qualifications to serve in the White House is ridiculous on its face. Ever since she was selected in 2008 by the Republican party’s...

“I think that Condoleezza Rice would be a wonderful vice president,” Palin told Fox News on Thursday night. She compared Rice's past experience favorably to that of Obama. But Palin dismissed concerns over Rice's stance on the subject. “I would certainly prefer a presidential and vice presidential candidate who had that respect for all innocent precious purposeful human life,” Palin said. “We need to remember, though, that it’s not the vice president that would legislate abortion and that would be Congress’s role, and we’ll keep that in mind.”

Thank you, SCOTUS. This Obamacare ruling fires up the troops as America’s eyes are opened! Thank God. This proves to be such an unsettling time in America as we undergo the fundamental transformation that Barack Obama promised he would do to us if elected. Obamacare was dealt in deception and confusion by flooding the public with an overwhelming amount of conflicting “rationale” via thousands of pages of unread legislative detail, which is the radical left’s M.O. Obama promised the American people this wasn’t a tax and that he’d never raise taxes on anyone making less than $250,000. We now see...

“Well, I tried to watch the MTV Movie Awards last night but something stopped me — oh yeah, I threw up,” Gutfeld said. “If MTV were a person, it would be the divorced dad getting an earring trying to hit on his teenage daughter’s friends. It’s the old fool trying to be cool. I admire, however, how the aging in-crowd sticks together even as they fall apart. Take the ad that aired during the awards with that annoying lady with three names. In it, she raffles off a dinner with herself, the president and his wife.” -clip- “‘We need him...
