Republican State Senatorial candidate Scott Wagner, running a write-in campaign, beat candidates backed by both the Democratic and the GOP establishments in a Pennsylvania special election last week. Wagner’s victory over the establishment standard-bearers for the State’s 28th Senate district represents the first time a write-in candidate has ever won a seat in the Pennsylvania Senate. Wagner, a businessman from York County, won an astonishing 48 percent of the vote with his write-in campaign. His GOP-endorsed opponent, State Representative Ron Miller, took 27 percent of the vote and Linda Small, the Democratic establishment pick, received 26 percent. Local news reports...

Pennsylvania businessman and TEA party candidate Scott Wagner has become Karl Rove and the Republican establishment’s latest nightmare. Snubbed by the GOPe, Wagner pulled off a major upset and won an open Pennsylvania State Senate seat in a special election held Tuesday in the state’s 28th Senate district. While Wagner’s victory was a huge shock by itself, the way Wagner defeated his Republican and Democrat opponents has to be alarming to the GOPe: Wagner wasn’t on the ballot so he had to win with write-in ballots which he did rather handily. Of the approximately 22,300 votes cast, Wagner crushed the...

In what appears to be an unexpected victory for a conservative businessman who had made s point of bucking his own party, Republican Scott Wagner is presumed to have won a write-in campaign to defeat party nominee Ron Miller for an open seat in the state Senate. The closely watched, hotly contested face-off ended in disappointment for the Republican mainstay and a first major victory for the tea party in York County. With 100 percent of the precincts reporting Tuesday night, write-in votes totaled 10,595 or 47.7 percent, to Miller's 5,920 or 26.6 percent. Democrat Linda Small of New Freeedom...

March 19, 2014 Tea Partier wins write-in race for Pennsylvania state Senate seat Mark Tapscott York is a modest little city in Southern Pennsylvania not too far from Baltimore and right in the heart of Dutch country. It's not the sort of place where political revolutions are found. But Republican state Senate nominee Ron Miller may think differently this morning because he just lost a special election to a write-in Tea Party candidate, Scott Wagner. "With 100 percent of precincts reporting Tuesday night, write-in votes totaled 10,595, or 47.7 percent, to Miller's 5,920, or 26.6 percent. Democrat Linda Small of...

As CBN News has reported, a record number of African-American Republicans are running for Congress this year. One activist who's encouraging more black voters to give Republicans a chance is Ron Miller. Miller is an Air Force veteran and executive director of Regular Folks United, an organization working to advance America's founding principles. He is also the author of Sellout: Musings from Uncle Tom's Porch. The book delves into Miller's journey into identifying himself as a conservative. In some ways, it's a history lesson as to why he says Democrats may not always have the best intentions for Black Americans....

I've been a committed conservative and, with the exception of one year where I listed myself as an independent, a registered Republican since 1978. What makes that rather unremarkable statement more intriguing is that I'm an American who happens to be black.

Ron Miller asks if President-elect Obama is really for change? Change like promoting polices that reward hard work. Change that allow parents more choices for their children’s education. Change in Corporate tax so American companies can compete globally. Change to protect the least able to protect themselves, the unborn. “ He was elected to bring us change -- how about walking the talk?”

“The Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, estimates that Barack Obama could receive 94 percent of the black vote. I find being one of the six percent who isn't voting for him liberating, however. Freed from the tyranny of basing my worldview entirely on my skin color, I'm allowed to be the unique individual that God made me.”

A personal thread here. I went to a Republican fundraiser this past weekend. It was a wine tasting and auction type deal. Had a good time. I bid on and won a framed picture of President Bush. Below his picture is a quote concerning the WOT from his 2003 SOTU. Below that were five pins representing the Navy, Army, Marines, Air Force, and Coast Guard. And below that is the great quote by John Stuart Mill that begins with "War is an ugly thing..." I will take a picture of it and than ask one of the more astute IT...

A close examination of the complete case file compiled by the office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Oklahoma reveals that inhalational anthrax was never considered as a potential cause of death in the case of Ron Miller. The Oklahoma Constitution has published several articles on Miller, a Norman businessman who died under mysterious circumstances on October 12, 1997, just before he was to testify before a congressional committee with allegations concerning some key associates of then-President Bill Clinton, and his wife, Hillary Clinton. (To review these previous articles, you can visit our web site at www.OklahomaConstitution.com). Miller entered Norman...
