The green-eyed Afghan refugee girl whose iconic photograph captured the world’s attention three decades ago has been arrested for living illegally in Pakistan with fraudulent documents. Pakistani police arrested Sharbat Gula, now married and in her forties, at her home in Peshawar on Tuesday, just a few miles from the border camp where the famous National Geographic cover image was taken in 1984. Her arrest followed reports that she, like many Afghans, had illegally procured false Pakistani identity cards - for herself and two men she claimed were her sons - in order to remain in the country.

Asylum seekers burned down European Union offices Monday in frustration over long processing times on the Greek island of Lesbos. Protestors threw petrol bombs and burning blankets into the building and at containers inside the camp where the migrants are held. No injuries were reported, but four shipping containers where interviews are conducted were completely destroyed. The fire caused EASO to shut down operations and move out its staff temporarily, causing wait times to increase...

The George Washington University art school recently co-hosted a three-day gathering to discuss how art can influence “social justice,” culminating with pleas for a “Muslim refugee” to serve as president. . . “Democracy is a beloved concept across the globe and in the United States, it is sacred. So much so that it generally goes unexamined as a practice,” a description for the workshop states. “It is a fundamentally exclusive process and therefore easily corruptible,” the summary then declares, asking, “How can artists, political leaders, community activists, and citizens respond with more inclusive models for decision making?”

SWEDEN’S open-door policy has WRECKED Europe’s most liberal nation as the Swedes turn against migrants amid an unprecedented rise in violence and sex attacks. For years Sweden has regarded itself as a “humanitarian superpower” - making its mark by offering refugee to those fleeing war and persecution. But people’s patience with their visitors is wearing thin following a year of violence, sickening sex assaults and the death of social worker Alexandra Mezher, 22, who was knifed to death at an asylum centre for unaccompanied children at the hands of a Somalian migrant who claimed he was 15. At the time,...

First District Supervisor candidate Angela Valles has condemned the "dumping" of Syrian refugees into Victorville, saying she would sue the federal government and seek to cut off refugee welfare benefits after it was discovered 23 Syrian immigrants have resettled in the city this year. Valles also accused her opponent, San Bernardino County Supervisor Robert Lovingood, of being "either oblivious to the placement of unvetted Syrian refugees in our community" or actively covering it up. A campaign statement she released Tuesday said that the federal government was required to consult with local jurisdictions before settling refugees, citing a hard-line immigration reform...

A third wave of 'child' migrants arrived in Britain from the Calais Jungle today - but the Home Office refused to carry out dental checks to prove their real age. Around 12 migrants - all burly lads aged anywhere between 15 and 21 - were escorted off a coach and taken inside a Home Office building, before being released. It came as the row over the age of migrants intensified after officials revealed two-thirds of 'child' refugees quizzed about their age last year were found to be adults. At least 100 more child migrants are expected to arrive in the...

As we reported last week, a presentation on refugees was scheduled last night at the St. Ann Catholic Church in Arlington, Virginia. The event took place as planned. It was entitled “Refugee Resettlement in the U.S.: A National and Local Humanitarian Response”, and was jointly presented by officials of the federal Office of Refugee Resettlement and Catholic Charities. Last night’s event was more important than it might seem at first glance. After all, it was just a little PowerPoint slide show given to a few dozen people by a government official about the wonderful cultural enrichment that will be brought...

Judge Richard Posner, writing for the three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, ruled that "governors have no authority to reject Syrian refugees being sent to their states. Neither do mayors, landlords, or homeowners have the right to block the placement of refugees in their towns, buildings, or households if that is what the President determines is in the best interest of the country. The idea that any of these other parties can refuse to cooperate in the refugee relocation program just because they deem it dangerous is not supported by law or the Constitution."...

You have to admit there are some similarities there and they even have the same position...hopefully the Clinton Foundation is receiving royalties from HBO... Yesterday we pointed out the many amazing one-liners offered up by Hillary as she was out collecting millions of dollars for her "Wall Street speeches." Here is an expanded sample: Hillary...
