Hey guys. The wife and I just created a new website for those of you who are new parents. Making baby recipes for your little one protects them from harmful additives such as nitrates, artificial coloring, and preservatives including BHA, BHT, and TBHQ. In addition to protecting your baby from the unnatural additives, you save a great deal of money making your own homemade baby food. For example, buying store bought organic food costs on average $1.40 for a 4 ounce jar. Making the same amount at home costs about $.30. Store bought non-organic food costs about $1.05 per 4...

The 10 Days of Awe begin on the Day of Trumpets. The movie that plays out during this time is more intense and meaningful than any you've ever seen. While the righteous are on the Sea of Fire and Glass, the Wrath of the Almighty is poured out, causing devastation on the earth. But His judgment is righteous and true, and the power and glory that is to come will bring you to your knees.

The conservative women supporting political action committee, ShePAC, has put together a lovely video to wish Gov. Sarah Palin an early happy birthday. Folks such as Mark Levin, Condi Rice, the Duffys and Ted Cruz are among the few who send their birthday wishes to Gov. Palin. And there’s also the Duck Commanders themselves chiming in with some good words.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwgNl5MEMrY

Parenthetical clauses are used throughout scripture to explain how, why, when and where in close proximity to the main subject and verb. Parentheses in the book of The Revelation explain cause and effect. They tie together the events that happen previously, to the events that transpire subsequently on the prophetic timeline. Unfortunately, parentheses, as a literary devise, come centuries after the actual parenthetical clauses so prevalent in both Hebrew and Greek linguistic constructions. Because of their late arrival into the English language, the parentheticals in the book of The Revelation have never been either deservedly researched or accurately articulated. Now,...

For an undocumented couple, the fear of deportation is worth it for the hope of reform. Behind the steering wheel, Sandra is cautious. She doesn’t know what will happen if she makes one wrong move. Driving without a license would earn her enough trouble with the police, but her secret is more serious — Sandra is an undocumented immigrant. Flashing red and blue lights in the rearview mirror could mean deportation, the end of her family’s life in Bloomington. “We feel so frustrated that one of these days some police or something asks for my driver’s license, and I don’t...

Under normal circumstances, a competent educator would conclude that there is a possible link, but that so far the analysis of data is conflicting or inconclusive. Further study is warranted. If an educator were not invested in the ideology that at least one abortion is a necessary female rite of passage into the Pentagonal Order of the Gaia Green Sisterhood, health professionals would be advised to be alert to the possibility of abortion breast cancer linkage and await further results. Well, a new meta analysis from China is out now, showing a stronger link between abortion and breast cancer......

There are few prophetic events that stir the imagination more than “the mark of the beast.” For millennia, Bible scholars have attempted to decipher this cryptic code, but not until the end of the age did we have the geo-political world line up so precisely as to offer a plausible explanation that links global religious fanaticism with the ability (or inability) to buy and sell without a “mark” in the right hand or forehead. Tonight, on Shabbat Night Live, Michael Rood will take you into the first half of the mark of the beast expose in preparation for understanding its...

This is a very educational show put on by Kin Greenhouse of "It's Rainmaking Time". She is one of the very few who eschew the soundbite driven media economy and chooses the long format, deep dive approach. While it may be too long for ADD crowd, it digs deep into a not so simple subject to foster understanding and comprehension. This was a pretty good show with an interesting cast of guests:

I have developed a bookmarklet that can help you find if an article has already been posted on Free Republic. You put it in your favorites bar or save it as a bookmark. While reading a news article or web page, you click the "FR Search" link. A window opens with the FR search page and with a good guess what the article title is. Screen shots of me using "FR Search" to see if an article was posted.I have tested it with Chrome 32 and IE 11. Here are the results of testing 20 articles posted on FR. I...

I was reading a blog at another site, and came upon this excellent post. With full permission of the author I repost it here. Enjoy! It's long but worth the time IMHO. It's also the most sense out of The Ninth Circuit that I've ever seen. By California Lawyer | Friday, January 24, 2014 at 4:23 pm What First Amendment protections are afforded a blogger sued for defamation? This was the question presented recently in a case just decided in the most liberal appellate court jurisdiction in the USA, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals. The issue was one of...

Here's another story that I am Johnny-come-lately on: Anarchists Deface Plymouth RockTo me, a story like this is a great opportunity to further educate about the history of progressivism. Anarchists are completely different from conservatives, but that has never stopped progressives from mixing the two and it hasn't for 100 years. I had a lot of fun putting that post together, I encourage everybody to lift and use all of the original sources for your own benefit. You don't have to click that link. Here they are again, the original sources. Harry Reid says: (video) When I was in school,...

Because Backblaze has a history of openness, many readers expected more details in my previous posts. They asked what drive models work best and which last the longest. Given our experience with over 25,000 drives, they asked which ones are good enough that we would buy them again. In this post, I’ll answer those questions. Drive Population At the end of 2013, we had 27,134 consumer-grade drives spinning in Backblaze Storage Pods. ...snip... Why do we have the drives we have? Basically, we buy the least expensive drives that will work. When a new drive comes on the market that...

Today was the annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. The fact that hundreds of thousands of peaceful activists turn up every year in the coldest month in D.C. – despite snowstorms and media indifference – is a testament to their commitment to building a culture of life. As Pope John Paul II taught us: “To be actively pro-life is to contribute to the renewal of society through the promotion of the common good. It is impossible to further the common good without acknowledging and defending the right to life, upon which all the other inalienable rights of individuals are...

“Palestinian Messengers”: How Christ and Christians Are Used for the Palestinian Cause By Julio Severo Last Christmas, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said Jesus was a “Palestinian” messenger. Even though Jesus was never a Palestinian or an advocate of a Palestinian cause, Abbas and his Muslim colleagues want to use Him to “ecumenically” unify Christians and Muslims to secure their cause. Christ has never been a Palestinian messenger, but there has been a number of Christian individuals and groups associating themselves with a Palestinian message. Knowingly or not, they have been used as Palestinian messengers. WCC and Liberation Theology The...

How expensive is the healthcare in India? This question paddled in my head when I saw someone close doing some out-of-pocket spending of his income to protect his 12 weeks premature baby boy. After I received a call of this unprecedented happening in their life, I went to the hospital and was completely wacked by the state of affairs of health in my country. I am not exactly aware of the amount of money spent by the Indian Government for such unexpected happenings but I could sense the mounting cost of diagnosis, medicines and hospitalisation. I came to know when...

You’re not ready to have sex if… 1. You think sex equals love. 2. You feel pressured. 3. You’re afraid to say no. 4. It’s just easier to give in. 5. You think everyone else is doing it. (They’re not!) 6. Your instincts tell you not to. 7. You don’t know the facts about pregnancy. 8. You don’t understand how birth control works. 9. You don’t think a woman can get pregnant the first time. (She can.) 10. It goes against your moral beliefs. 11. It goes against your religious beliefs. 12. You’ll regret it in the morning. 13. You...

On this date in 1845, the Republic of Texas was annexed by the United States and becomes the 28th state in the Union, the only independent country which became a state in the United States. Today we raise the Texas flag as well as the 28-star flag.

Today marks a turning point in the Revolutionary War with General George Washington's crossing of the Delaware River in 1776 and engaging a Hessian garrison in the Battle of Trenton, where the Continental Army pulled off a major victory, capturing nearly the entire garrison while suffering few losses. This victory lifted the morale of soldiers and colonists alike and gave patriots new hope for the Revolution's chances in the long road to victory and freedom.
