Make Your Own Homemade Baby Food

Hey guys. The wife and I just created a new website for those of you who are new parents.

Making baby recipes for your little one protects them from harmful additives such as nitrates, artificial coloring, and preservatives including BHA, BHT, and TBHQ. In addition to protecting your baby from the unnatural additives, you save a great deal of money making your own homemade baby food. For example, buying store bought organic food costs on average $1.40 for a 4 ounce jar. Making the same amount at home costs about $.30. Store bought non-organic food costs about $1.05 per 4 ounce jar. Making the same amount at home averages to about $.25. Over a cumulative period of time, that adds up to a lot of savings!

Making your own baby food gives you the ability to know everything that your baby is consuming. Making our baby recipes is indeed simple and fun. You do not have to make food every day, but instead you can freeze food in mass quantities for consumption at a later date. This site has information on everything you need to know to be successful in your endeavors to make baby recipes. Learn how to puree, freeze, and thaw foods. Become educated on topics pertaining to baby health and wellness. Have access to hundreds of baby food recipes. Peruse our daily photo gallery and much more on http://baby-recipes.com

All New Parents are stupid. But if they stay away from sites like yours they will be okay.

It was 40 years ago for me, and I am the dad, it is the only way to go.

JoeSeales, I can’t say whether this is good or bad (I have no opinion about homemade babyhood) but think you are in for a warm reception with this thread.

Generally, threads like this aren’t welcome.

Okay, auto spell-check is an irritant...”babyfood”, not “babyhood”.

ROTFLMAO

In other news I and the wife had two kids 25 years ago. Try as we like and we like and we try hard we just haven't had any more.

Heh, I know...as irritated as I was when I saw the error after posting, I thought that was a darn good spell-check error.

Sometimes I think they actually program them that way!

Practice makes perfect, and if it doesn’t...practice has a quality all of its own!

And just what made you think this was an appropriate subject for a conservative political discussion forum?

Did you just want to post something? Anything? Just so you could post it or are you blogpimping?

My oldest two had neither formula nor jarred baby food. Number three is now following that pattern. I’m certainly not a new parent. Why is making baby food poor advice? My preschooler and toddler ask for avavados, salmon, and cashews thanks to the way I’ve fed them from purees.

Why or when did people think feeding babies was rocket science?

Make healthy food for yourself, then puree it for the tykes. It's that simple, minus heavy spices.

Enjoy! Feeding lil, ones is fun. But the baby food stage is very short. Soon your tot will be on finger fooding what you guys eat. And definitely start him young with his own spoon and or fork - they learn fast. Even while you spoon feed him, give him his own. By 8 months our baby was fork expert - but she is pretty athletic and coordinated. She talked late but could catch a ball, run and walk backward even by 15 mos. have fun feeding your baby.

That site appears to be a part advice, part sales site. Not particularly awful, not particularly wonderful, just there.

Babies did have to eat something before the likes of Gerber appeared. For that matter, nursing also used to be considered an honor, not an inconvenience. But that’s also when people thought further ahead than just next week.

Put baby food dabs on waxed paper on cookie sheet. Freeze then put them in a plastic bag in freezer and take out exactly what is needed for each meal.
