Whether it was corporate goons whacking union organizers at the Battle of the Overpass, or racist Southern cops turning the fire-hoses on civil-rights marchers, or Chicago cops attacking the "kids" in 1968, you knew who the good guys were. Somehow the story of union thugs attacking Tea Party folks, or Reverend Al Sharpton inciting anti-Korean riots, or anti-WTO anarchists vandalizing downtown Seattle didn't have quite the same resonance with the American people. CAIR calls Peter King a McCarthyist for planned hearing on Muslim radicalization. The executive director of CAIR’s San Francisco office is calling Republican congressman Peter King a McCarthyist for his plan to use his position as the new chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee to hold hearings on the new Muslim radicalization that’s happening in the US. While his intent is totally justified in light of the increases in Muslim Americans becoming radicalized—as evidenced in the foiling of the recent plots—CAIR is actively discouraging such closer looks at America’s Muslim community by branding concerned Americans like King a McCarthyist.

The liberal Center for American Progress doesn’t believe significant GOP gains in the House and Senate should stop the President from implementing more of his polices. CRETE, Neb. – A worker entered the lunchroom of a cold-storage facility in eastern Nebraska and started firing a handgun, wounding three employees before going outside to shoot himself in the head, authorities said Thursday. Saline County Attorney Tad Eickman identified the gunman at the Americold Logistics plant near Crete as 26-year-old Akouch Kashoual of Lincoln. He said Kashoual entered the lunchroom around 9:50 p.m. Wednesday and started shooting, before going outside the plant to shoot himself in the head. Eickman didn't give any information about Kashoual's motive.

Worldwide violence continues to decline, but most people are unaware of this because the mass media will feature whatever wars and disorder they can find.
