CAIR calls Peter King a McCarthyist for planned hearing on Muslim radicalization. The executive director of CAIR’s San Francisco office is calling Republican congressman Peter King a McCarthyist for his plan to use his position as the new chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee to hold hearings on the new Muslim radicalization that’s happening in the US. While his intent is totally justified in light of the increases in Muslim Americans becoming radicalized—as evidenced in the foiling of the recent plots—CAIR is actively discouraging such closer looks at America’s Muslim community by branding concerned Americans like King a McCarthyist.
