The NFL presents itself as America’s most cutthroat meritocracy. And yet evidence continues to show that teams screw up the single most important decision they make due to racial bias. From 2010 to 2022, teams were chronically underrating Black quarterbacks in the draft, a new statistical analysis from SFGATE shows. QBs selected in those drafts had four times better odds of reaching at least one Pro Bowl if they were Black. SFGATE’s analysis found a statistically significant gap between the rate that Black quarterbacks reached the Pro Bowl relative to their peers despite controlling for draft position. At every stage...

In November 2017, a small-time YouTube video creator and two moderators of the 4chan website, one of the most extreme message boards on the internet, banded together and plucked out of obscurity an anonymous and cryptic post from the many conspiracy theories that populated the website's message board. Over the next several months, they would create videos, a Reddit community, a business and an entire mythology based off the 4chan posts of “Q,” the pseudonym of a person claiming to be a high-ranking military officer. The theory they espoused would become Qanon

Researcher Mark Burnett is a world authority on passwords. Think I’m kidding? He has collected millions of passwords over the last couple of decades, and has written a book about the real-life password analyses he has done. It shouldn’t be any surprise then to hear that he’s the kind of guy who’s familiar with the different way people choose passwords - including those who think they can generate a really random password by just mashing their keyboard like a crazy man. Enter the bat-shit crazy QAnon conspiracy theory, which - amongst other things - believes that there is a huge...

This is just my take on the entire Q Anon situation. I attempt to break down what Q Anon is, who created and who took it over.

Brock Osweiler is headed back to the Denver Broncos, and people are not happy he got picked up before Colin Kaepernick. Osweiler, who played for the Broncos two seasons ago, was resigned by Denver almost immediately following getting cut by the Cleveland Browns. As you can imagine, people were not happy Osweiler has a job and Kaepernick doesn’t. Brock Osweiler has a job and Colin Kaepernick does not. Just let that sink in. #Kaepernick #BrockOsweiler — Ashley Galpin (@AGalpin1) September 3, 2017 I think Kaepernick + Broncos D would give them 11 wins. But no, go ahead, sign Osweiler.

Even with four weeks left in the regular season, it's become obvious that the run to the Super Bowl is going to turn on some seriously young arms ... and heads. Consider: The Bears (Rex Grossman for now; the Brian Griese Watch has been on for several weeks running), Chargers (Philip Rivers), Cowboys (Tony Romo), Jaguars (David Garrard) and Broncos (Jay Cutler for now; the Jake Plummer Watch could resume any day now) all have first-year starting quarterbacks. Technically, speaking, at least. Grossman had started seven games before this year, but one season was truncated by injury after three starts...

When the NFL unveiled its MVPs from the previous 39 Super Bowls, only three living members skipped the ceremony. Former 49ers quarterback Joe Montana and former Steelers quarterback Terry Bradshaw decided to stay home, while former Dolphins MVP Jake Scott was traveling in Australia. Montana, the league's only three-time Super Bowl MVP, turned down the invitation over money, Newsday and the San Francisco Chronicle reported. Bradshaw, who told league officials that he wanted to be with his family, also took issue with the fees, the Chronicle reported. Bradshaw, through a representative, denied the Chronicle's report that there was a dispute...
