As many states look to curb abortion access and further regulate the practice, California's government has decided to take the opposite route. Governor Jerry Brown has signed a bill into law that dramatically expands abortion access in California, allowing for non-physicians such as nurses to perform the abortion procedure.

There have been a rash of articles in media of late pushing the line that informed consent laws, laws limiting chemical abortions, and challenges to so-called “web-cam abortions” are totally unnecessary, just pro-life ploys to put more obstacles in the way of women getting the “reproductive health care” they want and need. They say that chemical abortions are safe, rather simple, sort of like a “heavy period,” that women get all the medical attention they need, that they are glad to be able to abort in the privacy of their own homes. Try telling that to “Kay,” a married, “pro-choice”...

The pro-abortion crowd is dwindling. The movement is in shambles. Sure, there is still a lot of money involved in exploiting women in desperate situations in this way, so the industry remains, but its support among the people is slowly dying. It is really being sustained by government. It is not hard to see why not even the abortion industry itself wants to promote its coveted pro-choice label. As was recently reported, Planned Parenthood, the nation's largest abortion provider, wanted to abandon the word "choice" after reading poll after poll saying people increasingly do not want to be associated with...

Why is it we are so appalled when we hear of some grotesque botched abortion procedures or of over over zealous abortion workers carrying out their paid duties? I mean, after all we are a country that legally endorses abortion — infanticide actually. Truthfully speaking, what exactly are we to expect to happen in a death mill? There job isn’t exactly to save lives. Their operation is death. So why are we outraged to hear of the details? For starters, it begins with principles. To simply admire choice is really refusing to choose. However, that tiny sense of morality shocks...

In the wake of a rising tide of pro-life sentiments and sensibilities in America, the utter bankruptcy of the pro-abortion position is being revealed, especially in its more militant forms. The pro-abortion side is now faced with: • The beautiful reality of 3D and 4D ultrasounds, making clear that the fetus in the womb is really a carefully formed, developing baby. It is now impossible to deny that the little one seen with such clarity on the screen is a human life that is about to be snuffed out. • The brutal reality of the houses of horrors run by...

In a poll done by Gallup earlier this year, the biggest complaint lodged against the Republican Party was “inability to compromise.” When I read the daily headlines, I see this theme continue. Republicans, particularly tea party Republicans, are portrayed as obstructionist, extreme, unreasonable, and unwilling to compromise. But let’s get perspective. If we are talking about trying to decide what day of the week to collect the garbage, and one wants Monday and one wants Friday, so the side that refuses to compromise on Wednesday might but be considerable unreasonable. But this isn’t the kind of national discussion we are...

Views on abortion are becoming more entrenched in certain regions of the country, with New England residents more convinced of the pro-choice position and the Midwest and parts of the South becoming more pro-life, according to a new Pew Forum study. While abortion views have remained relatively steady when looking at the nation as a whole, the Pew study shows greater variation in a few regions of the country. The study compares views on abortion in 1995 and 1996 to views on abortion in 2012 and 2013 for eight regional areas – New England, Pacific Coast, Mid-Atlantic, Mountain West, Great...

Pro-life advocates can cheer another victory today as Republican lawmakers in North Carolina have just decided to adopt new abortion regulations right before the end of the session. In a vote of 32 to 13, they passed S.B. 353, a motorcycle safety bill that was amended to include abortion restrictions. The legislation will give the state Department of Health and Human Services the authority to regulate abortion clinics with the same standards as outpatient surgical centers "while not unduly restricting access." Planned Parenthood President Cecile Richards has already expressed her disappointment, urging Gov. Pat McCrory to veto the bill: BREAKING:...

NOVA Women’s Healthcare of Fairfax County was one of the largest and most frequented abortion clinics in the state of Virginia. It performed more abortions than any other provider in the Old Dominion in the last few years, including 3,066 in 2012 alone. But, thanks to new abortion regulations in the state and a denied permit, it has seen its last patient. It’s speculated that new Virginia regulations which require clinics to meet new hospital-grade standards had forced NOVA to find a new location. The clinic never got the chance though, for the city denied its permit for being one...

We live in bizarro world. Abortion is a barbaric act, but liberals call it "progressive" policy, and any attempts to reign it in is "barbaric."Amazing.Also, liberals always want to look to Europe to show how "backward" we are. Well let's see how they handle abortion...

A poll taken by Huffington Post reveals an overwhelming majority of Americans supporting a ban on abortion after 20 weeks. This isn't much of a surprise. But those who "strongly favor" the ban outnumber those who "strongly oppose" by a 2-1 margin.Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood's Cecile Richards can't tell the difference between what Kermit Gosnell was doing and late term abortions.Weekly Standard: THE WEEKLY STANDARD: [Supporters of late-term abortion bans] say there's not much of a difference between what Kermit Gosnell did outside the womb to a baby at 23 weeks and a legal late-term abortion [performed] at 23 weeks...

{fsubscribe}I'm glad the pro-life fight in Texas has given me an opportunity to work on some more pro-life graphics. I constantly feel like I don't devote enough time to cultural issues, which are more important than politics because culture drives politics.Full disclosure: I don't have a vagina, and I know that disqualifies me in the eyes of liberals from being pro-life...but I am a former fetus...that's probably more relevant. As silly as that, it actually is a prime example of the ugly underbelly of pro-abortion rhetoric. The one greatest revelation of all the pro-abortion protesting is how ignorant and unintelligent the...

In the chaos that is the fight over the abortion bill in Texas, it’s difficult to see the real story behind the circus of filibusters, “mob rule,” and Satan-hailing. But I recently had the privilege of speaking to someone who has been on both sides of the argument. Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood director and now a pro-life advocate who testified during the Texas Senate hearings this week on the abortion bill, claims the ban on late-term abortions is not the most disputed portion of the bill. “What’s being highly contested by abortion supporters in this bill is not...

Lovely people. Texas Democrats and late-term abortion advocates chanted “f*ck the church!” at the state capitol yesterday.

The pro-abortion madness is continuing for yet another week. On the heels of death threats from an abortion activist to the Lt. Governor comes another outrage.

As the debate about late-term abortion continues in Texas, it is important to point out why lawmakers want to approve legislation that bans abortions after five months. The key is in the science. Texas Right to Life released a video yesterday featuring Dr. Ingrid Skop, Dr. Greg Bonnen and Dr. Paul Liu. All three doctors confirmed babies do in fact feel pain as early as five months inside the womb. The Science Behind Preborn PainMeanwhile, a new study backs up these doctors and the science they discuss in the video above. LifeNews has more: A newly-published research study shows unborn...

This really is an unfortunate rally gesture for Texas liberals...they really do go bigger on everything there.

I posted this to my Tumblr blog over the weekend to see if I could get a preview of the reaction. The responses from liberals has been heartbreaking, but not unexpected.

Wisconsin has become the latest state to pass legislation designed to protect unborn children and their mothers. Wisconsin Latest State to Implement Pro-Life Law The New American 06 July 2013 Wisconsin has become the latest state to implement a law to protect the unborn. On July 5 Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker (shown) signed SB 206, also called "Sonya's Law," which will require women seeking an abortion to first get an ultrasound, as well as require doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at a hospital near the facility where they perform the procedure. Planned Parenthood said that the...

NEW YORK, July 5, 2013 (C-FAM.org) - UNICEF says that nations are bound by international law to recognize the right of children to sexually related information and services without parental knowledge. UNICEF's latest annual report revealed that it interprets two UN human rights treaties -- on disabilities and children's rights -- to include a child's right "to confidential sexual and reproductive health information and services during adolescence and into early adulthood." UNICEF defines adolescents as minors between 10 to 19 years of age. Neither treaty mentions such a right, but in 2009 the committee that monitors the children's treaty began...

A unrestrained pro-abortion mob once again assaulted the Texas State Capitol in an effort thwart passage of a bill that would ban late-term abortions. Pro-abortion Mob Continues as Texas Lawmakers Gather to Pass Pro-Life Bill The New American 05 July 2013 As the Texas legislature convened a special session July 1 to consider a bill that would ban abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy, rabid pro-abortion activists once again congregated at the state Capitol, heckling solemn pro-life activists and preparing to attempt to shut down the legislative process as they did at the tail end of a late-June special...
