As many states look to curb abortion access and further regulate the practice, California's government has decided to take the opposite route. Governor Jerry Brown has signed a bill into law that dramatically expands abortion access in California, allowing for non-physicians such as nurses to perform the abortion procedure.

There have been a rash of articles in media of late pushing the line that informed consent laws, laws limiting chemical abortions, and challenges to so-called “web-cam abortions” are totally unnecessary, just pro-life ploys to put more obstacles in the way of women getting the “reproductive health care” they want and need. They say that chemical abortions are safe, rather simple, sort of like a “heavy period,” that women get all the medical attention they need, that they are glad to be able to abort in the privacy of their own homes. Try telling that to “Kay,” a married, “pro-choice”...

The pro-abortion crowd is dwindling. The movement is in shambles. Sure, there is still a lot of money involved in exploiting women in desperate situations in this way, so the industry remains, but its support among the people is slowly dying. Pro-life advocates can cheer another victory today as Republican lawmakers in North Carolina have just decided to adopt new abortion regulations right before the end of the session. In a vote of 32 to 13, they passed S.B. 353, a motorcycle safety bill that was amended to include abortion restrictions. NEW YORK, July 5, 2013 (C-FAM.org) - UNICEF says that nations are bound by international law to recognize the right of children to sexually related information and services without parental knowledge. UNICEF's latest annual report revealed that it interprets two UN human rights treaties -- on disabilities and children's rights -- to include a child's right "to confidential sexual and reproductive health information and services during adolescence and into early adulthood."
