Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Character Studies From The Bible Noah New International Version (NIV) 9 This is the account of Noah and his family. Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God. 10 Noah had three sons: Shem, Ham and Japheth. 11 Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight and was full of violence. 12 God saw how corrupt the earth had become, for all the people on earth had corrupted their ways. 13 So God said to Noah, “I am going to put an end to all people, for the...

Saint_Mary_Magdalen_Church_(Brighton,_Michigan)_-_Solanus_Casey_Shrine" Sixteen-month-old Elizabeth Fanning lies listlessly in her mother’s arms. Anxiously, drawn-faced Mrs. Fanning coaxes her child to take even a spoonful of the liver soup recommended by doctors. But although Elizabeth’s swollen belly and twiglike limbs make her look like a starvation victim, the lethargic baby has no interest in food of any kind. Little Betsy, as her parents call her, has a fatal disease in 1940: the blood cancer known as leukemia. What makes her case especially tragic is that the illness may be the result of new medical technology. Born in August 1938, Elizabeth appeared normal....

About 80 high school students braved bitterly cold winds Tuesday morning for a pro-life gathering outside Lincoln’s Planned Parenthood. Most of them came from high schools in Beloit and Tipton in Kansas, but about 25 Lincoln Pius X students joined the event planned by students at St. John’s Catholic High School in Beloit. Patrick Eilert, a senior at St. John's, said the school has been traveling to the nearest abortion clinic for “peaceful protest and prayer” for the past six years and last year decided to try to get other high schools around the nation involved. “We’re trying to give...

Pray For the Peace of Jerusalem Character Studies From The Bible Cain and Abel New International Version (NIV) Adam made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. Now Abel kept flocks, and Cain worked the soil. 3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord. 4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his...

Dad is going in to the hospital tomorrow for treatment of atrial fibrillation. They are going to try to shock his heart back into rhythm. If that doesn't work it's a pacemaker. Dad is 87, an Army Vet, wounded in an explosion in 1946 in the Phillipines while the US was supporting the Phillipine gov't during the Huk rebellion after WW2 . Mom and my sisters are upset. He's the most honorable man I've ever met and he and Mom are my best friends. They've been married 64 yrs.

The following account from a former Franciscans of the Imnaculate (FI) seminarian shows just how purposely destructive the intervention of the FI has been -- at the hands of Commissioner Volpi and approved by Pope Francis: It was a win, win, win situation: 1) People could give the gift of Christ to family and friends by enrolling them in a Novena of Latin Masses celebrated according to the 1962 Missal; 2) Those enrolled received spiritual graces from the Masses, plus a Christmas novena card and a gift-wrapped CD of sacred music; and 3) The proceeds went to assist the contemplative...

(Google Translate)(Full Speech below) Vatican City (kath.net/KAP/red) Francis Pope has spoken out against a common celebration of the Eucharist by Catholics and Protestants. "If we have to hide our Eucharistic faith under the pretext of a certain accommodation by, then we take our own treasure neither nor our interlocutor seriously enough," he said on Monday in front of the Swiss bishops at the Vatican. In ecumenical dialogue, the bishops should make sure that the believers of all faiths could live their faith "unambiguous and free of confusion" and "without the differences at the expense of truth wegzuretuschieren". At the same...
