Will these whispers turn to shouts? The word behind the word is that Paul Manafort is already earning his keep BIG TIME as he moves to deliver a stunning blow to the Cruz campaign a source describes as a potential “punch to the face” that involves the number 172. Here is a brief summary of what will simply be called the “172 Plan” : **Talks are ongoing and more numerous between Team Trump and a second party over the last 48-hours. **If these talks lead to an agreement, it will be a game-changer in the 2016 Republican nomination process. **Manafort...

Thanks to Bernie and Hillary, Socialism is on everyone’s mind. These politicians, like so many in our media and universities, claim it’s a glorious idea. Usually thought of as an economic philosophy, Socialism is more sweeping than that. It dictates how all of society must be organized. It claims to be fairer; it claims to deliver happiness. Socialism is a philosophy of life that, I’ll argue, steals the life right out of you. The central vision, indeed the central requirement, is that everyone be equal and cooperative. Competition is evil. Striving for success is scorned. In order to obtain the...

Every election cycle, U.S. Congressman Thomas Massie said he is “extorted” by the Republican Party to pay $300,000 for his committee assignments. “I call it extortion, they call it assessments,” he said. These “assessments,” essentially dues to the Republican party, are fundraised through political action committees and lobbyists as a price to pay for committee positions, Massie told a crowd of about 25 during a recent coffee and pizza forum in Flatwoods. He told them, “I can’t go and do a fundraiser and raise $300,000 and stand up in front of people and tell them, ‘Well, you know what? It’s...

Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani will be voting for a fellow New Yorker: Donald Trump. "I support Trump. I'm gonna vote for Trump," Giuliani told The New York Post Thursday about his voting intentions in the state's April 19 Republican primary. --------- It was reported that Giuliani was to meet with Texas Sen. Ted Cruz Thursday, but according to Giuliani, that meeting happened months ago. Cruz's comments about "New York values" were a big factor for Giuliani.

We now know how big the Republican Party’s Donald Trump problem is: so big that some in the GOP have convinced themselves the solution is Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tex.). Yes, the erstwhile government-shutter-downer trails Hillary Clinton by only 3.1 percentage points in the RealClearPolitics average, as opposed to Trump’s 10.8-point deficit. But be skeptical: Those polls probably exaggerate Cruz’s electability, which may diminish further if he gets the nomination, and the general electorate focuses on his ideology, even if his opponent is the unloved Clinton.

Both the Republican front-runner, Donald Trump, and Democratic front-runner, Hillary Clinton, lost this week's Wisconsin primary to challengers Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders, respectively. While the potential nominees of both parties focused on gathering momentum and delegates to win the nomination, President Barack Obama focused on fending off both Trump and Cruz ... opening a front against both contenders from the opposing party. Obama focused his presidential address on the economy and, in particular, on corporate inversions. What are they? "Simply put, in layman's terms, it's when big corporations acquire small companies, and then change their address to another country...

‘His views are against ours’ Ted Cruz came to New York Wednesday talking about education, but he’s the one who got schooled. The lesson came from a group of Bronx high school students who told the Republican presidential candidate to stay away. Cruz was scheduled to speak at Bronx Lighthouse College Preparatory Academy until students wrote a letter to the principal asking her not to let Cruz come, prompting staffers to cancel the appearance. "We told her if he came here, we would schedule a walkout," said Destiny Domeneck, 16. "Most of us are immigrants or come from immigrant backgrounds....

Donald Trump has spent much of his campaign deriding NATO allies for “ripping off” the American taxpayer and failing to contribute to the world’s most powerful military alliance. But on Wednesday, his fellow Republicans joined the chorus during a closed-door meeting with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg on Capitol Hill, according to sources inside the room. For under an hour, senators grilled Stoltenberg, a former prime minister of Norway, about why only five members of the 28-nation club spend at least 2 percent of their gross domestic product on defense, the official amount NATO recommends each nation set aside. Some...

Does the president of the United States have the power to unilaterally tell millions of individuals who are violating federal law that he will not enforce that law against them now, that they may continue to violate that law in the future and that he will take action that makes them eligible for federal benefit programs for which they are not currently eligible due to their unlawful status? Through Solicitor General Donald Verrilli, President Barack Obama is telling the Supreme Court exactly this right now. The solicitor general calls what Obama is doing "prosecutorial discretion."

There are more than 1.4 million people in the Bronx — but Ted Cruz couldn’t even muster 100 at a campaign event in Parkchester with state Sen. Ruben Diaz Sr., a conservative Christian minister. Cruz visited the Sabrosura Chinese-Dominican restaurant, where Diaz said the presidential candidate could “listen to the social, economic and spiritual needs of our community” while dining with other clergymen on the eatery’s famed fried rice and plantains.

AND NOW... amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke... it is time for... that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-The-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he's not retiring until every American agrees with him - do NOT doubt him - with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that's Rush, for those in Rio...

Lawyers object to any attempt to ask Huma Abedin, Cheryl Mills, and others about how information was handled—and are dead set against Clinton testifying. Lawyers for the State Department want to limit the types of questions that a watchdog group can ask former aides to Hillary Clinton, and potentially the former secretary of state herself, about her creation and use of a private email system while she was in office. The department asked a federal judge Tuesday night to grant “limited discovery” to Judicial Watch, a conservative watchdog group that wants to depose some of Clinton’s closest associates and staffers....

MADISON, Wisconsin—Ted Cruz has some disappointing news for establishment Republicans, who he still believes perceive him as the ultimate enemy. “This fevered pipe dream of Washington, that at the convention they will parachute in some white knight who will save the Washington establishment: It is nothing less than a pipe dream,” the senator said Monday. “It ain’t gonna happen. If it did, the people would quite rightly revolt.” It’s interesting that Cruz is still arguing against the establishment. In recent days, after all, heading into the Wisconsin primary, he has taken to bragging about the breadth of his Republican support....
