July 25, 2015Team Mosby Gnashes Teeth, Stomp Feet, Threaten To Seek Sanctions Against Defense Team… sundance Baltimore State Attorney Marilyn Mosby has previously, and hypocritically, stated she doesn’t want to argue the merits of her case in the court of public opinion. Of course she customarily does this in interviews with media who report to the venue of public opinion.Keeping with this tradition, her office now tells the media about a ridiculous legal filing they are considering, claiming the defense team is calling them names, or something…BALTIMORE – Prosecutors plan to seek sanctions against the defense attorneys for six Baltimore...

Obama’s legacy will be his lack of transparency, as he is hiding key aspects of the Iranian Nuclear deal from Congress and the American people. Even though Obama has been trying to sell this deal to the American people on The Daily Show and in fund raisers nobody is buying it. Like another infamous Obama boondoggle, Congress will have to pass this monstrosity if the American people want to see what is in it. In a statement released by Representative Mike Pompeo (R), Kan): “The Obama administration has failed to make public separate side deals that have been struck for...

The Navy Times reports that the installation commander and a Marine engaged the Chattanooga Jihadi with sidearms during the attack. From the navytimes.com: A report distributed among senior Navy leaders during the shooting's aftermath said Lt. Cmdr. Timothy White, the support center's commanding officer, used his personal firearm to engage Abdulazeez, Navy Times confirmed with four separate sources. A Navy official also confirmed a Washington Post report indicating one of the slain Marines may have been carrying a 9mm Glock and possibly returned fire on the gunman. From the comments, Mark Keith states that : gunnery sergeant sullivan eel...

From the fine mind of Trey Gowdy, "The president said that … in Trayvon Martin he saw a son. I can tell you those of us who have daughters saw our daughters in Kate Steinle." And the equally talented Big Fur Hat at iOTW, we have this “We’ll Claim Kate” memorial. And now, because it’s the weekend, and because we all deserve a break, let’s make this recipe weekend (and remember, every time a recipe is posted an angel gets his wings).Chrusciki, aka Angel’s Wings Or at least they get a drink:An old fashioned Angel’s tip, perhaps?Angel's Tip 3/4 oz dark creme...

Pop stars are definitely not shy about taking sides in American politics, as we saw when artists such as Madonna, Cher, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Beyonce all rallied behind President Obama in his respective campaigns. On their own, singers are just voters. They might not know a whole lot about politics, and you might not care what they think. But a lot of people, especially young people, do. And young people matter. The 2014 midterms saw the lowest youth turnout in 70 years, contributing to sweeping Republican victories a few short years after the youth vote helped President Obama...

Border Policy: President Obama vowed to veto a House bill to pull cash from cities that flout federal immigration laws. He's given a lot of odd excuses, but in the end he's siding with criminal illegals who now plague the U.S. There was the wrenching testimony of Jim Steinle, who just this month was walking down a San Francisco tourist pier with his daughter Kate in broad daylight as she was gunned down at his side by a five-times-deported illegal alien. The gunman, Francisco Lopez-Sanchez, told investigators that he lived in the city because its sanctuary city policies shielded him...

Darkness approaches the Clinton campaign. Maybe. Two Inspectors General have asked the Justice Department to open an investigation into Hillary's handling of classified material on her private server. WASHINGTON — Two inspectors general have asked the Justice Department to open a criminal investigation into whether sensitive government information was mishandled in connection with the personal email account Hillary Rodham Clinton used as secretary of state, senior government officials said Thursday. The request follows an assessment in a June 29 memo by the inspectors general for the State Department and the intelligence agencies that Mrs. Clinton's private account contained "hundreds of...

Donald Trump set heads steaming last month when he accused undocumented Mexican immigrants of being criminals and rapists, but it wasn’t the first time Trump found himself in hot water over racial issues. “Latinos may be angry at what Trump said, but we’re not surprised by it,” Janet Murguía, president of Hispanic advocacy group the National Council of La Raza, said Tuesday at the organization’s annual conference. “The demonization of our community is not new. When you attribute traits such as drug dealers, murderers, rapists to an entire group of people, that is by definition racism.” In April, Trump provoked...

Liberals always think they're clever with their little memes, but all the ever do is reveal how astonishingly dumb their arguments can be. Then there's this. Two sentences to knock this house of cards down, that's all it takes: The Republican Party dominates the South today. The Democratic Party owned the South when America had slavery. Thanks for playing...whoever made this.

My idea is to take Obama's idiotic "You didn't build that" and slam it back in their faces. Have ads focusing on a specific business owner, showing their actual business growth/extension plans and ideas. Explaining the bottom line in more employees they will need, expected growth of their business, etc. Then end with the person saying some kind of statement: We had all this planned and ready to go, but Mr. President, we didn't build it, because of you and how your policies have negatively affected our business. A whole damn series of ads like this could be created, the...

Please stop: The Connecticut Democratic Party quietly voted Wednesday night to remove references to iconic former Presidents Thomas Jefferson and Andrew Jackson from the name of its annual fundraising dinner due to their links to slavery and the mistreatment of Native Americans. "Let's work together to show the rest of the state exactly what it means to be a Connecticut Democrat,'’ said freshman party Chairman Nick Balletto, according to the Hartford Courant, before introducing the resolution to rename the Jefferson-Jackson-Bailey Dinner. The resolution was unanimously approved. This is beyond misguided! It's the kind of liberal-think that makes me want to...

In Carly Fiorina’s interview with Katie Couric from May, Fiorina went on and on about how if you don’t have a room full of “diversity” when making an important decision, you will not get the decision right. For Fiorina, it’s all about hiring women (and of course anyone else who isn’t a straight white male), and she goes on at length insisting that women in top positions absolutely and necessarily equates to merit; guarantees merit — the same thing Hillary Clinton just said, by the way. I had been inclined very favorably toward Fiorina, especially because of her ability to...

It’s old news that Jimmy Carter believes Jesus would support gay marriage and some abortion. But Fox News? Well, Carter doesn’t like that. Earlier this week, NY Times reporter Philip Galanes sat down for lunch with the former president and black author Jacqueline Woodson to discuss issues of race and religion, including the confederate flag, black-white relations and same-sex marriage. Galanes pointed out that both Carter and Woodson went “door to door” as Christian missionaries when they were younger. Woodson went as a Jehovah’s Witness, but no longer practices. Galanes understood. “They’re not so hot on gay and lesbian issues,”...

1) Kerry: We’re “Hopeful” Our Citizens in Iran Will be Freed By Daniel Doherty Commentary by John Velisek USN (Ret), staff writer “That’s a politician’s answer. Secretary of State John Kerry cannot guarantee that the three Americans that we know about languishing in Iran’s prison system will be released and returned safely to their families. He can only say that he’s “hopeful” Iran will, in a gesture of good faith, set them free. ‘There was not a meeting that took place – not one meeting that took place, believe me that’s not an exaggeration – where we did not raise...

Seth Mandel explains how President Hussein Obama is using (a willing) Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) to drive a wedge in the US-Israel relationship. [N]othing Obama has done to damage Israel’s standing in Congress could compare to getting Chuck Schumer — the supposed shomer (guardian, in Hebrew) of Israel — to ensure the survival of a nuclear deal that rearranges America’s Mideast alliances by elevating Tehran at the expense of the Israelis, the Saudis, the Jordanians and the Egyptians, among others. And that’s why crowds in Times Square Wednesday night chanted “Where is Chuck Schumer?” As Schumer continues to avoid...

It's time for someone on TV to step up and take Donald Trump down — or, at least, put him in his place.. The situation has not risen to the level of Edward R. Murrow and Sen. Joseph McCarthy. But it's definitely in a league with Katie Couric and Sarah Palin. And every day that Trump gets away with driving the vast majority of political coverage on network and cable TV with his reckless, tabloid-style attacks and unsubstantiated claims is another day that the nation loses in having an informed discussion about where it wants to go in terms of...

As we approach the 50th anniversary of President Lyndon Johnson signing the Medicare bill into law (July 30th), what better time to consider the seemingly intractable problem of healthcare? FDR tried to include a federal health insurance component into the Social Security Act of 1935, but backed off. Harry Truman, his successor, took up the cause again in 1945, 1947, and 1949. JFK would pick up the banner in 1961. During the 1965 signing, LBJ called the 81-year-old Truman “the real daddy of Medicare,” and presented him and his wife Bess with the first two Medicare cards. With the passage...

We worry about our presidential primary process. Some wonder why. Some believe that we worry too much, and it all fixes itself in time; why get so worked up? Be patient, they say, the primaries will handle it, and then comes the election, don’t worry so much. And if you’re not in an early primary state, you have no effect anyway, so you’re better off saving your energy and just watching TV or going to a game. So we’re told, especially by friends and acquaintances who just don’t think it all matters that much, and who wonder why we’re willing...

The messenger needed shooting. Forget the message On July 22 Juan Williams, a progressive pundit on Fox (yes there are democrats on Fox) was appalled by the release of a video taken by The Centre For Medical Progress that revealed Dr. Mary Gatter, the medical director for Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, talking about the selling of fetal baby parts. I was watching the conversation unfold. This occurred one week after another video had been released with Dr. Debora Nucatola Senior Director of all medical services for Planned Parenthood. Planned Parenthood is selling fetal baby parts-which is against the law. When...
