The NYPD has intensified its boycott of the coffee and baked goods chain Dunkin’ Donuts after an employee reportedly refused service to police officers, The New York Post has reported. When asked for directions to the nearest store by a member of the public, one police officer said: “I’m not allowed to do that.” Meanwhile, another sergeant was spotted walking into his local police department with a tray full of generic, non-branded coffee. “No D&D in the 7-3,” he announced. Last week, a police union called for a boycott of the chain after an employee allegedly denied service to two...

Los Angeles County Sheriff Jim McDonnell has been lobbying the Trump administration in an attempt to keep funding that the region stands to lose over its sanctuary city policies. McDonnell has made multiple trips to Washington, D.C. to ask the government not to withhold federal funds, according to the Los Angeles Daily News. The Sheriff complained to the outlet that loss of the federal grant funds would “would have a negative impact on public safety in L.A. County and Southern California.” However, instead of working toward cooperation with federal immigration officials that could keep the funding intact, the Sheriff appears...

A devastated family wants answers after their beloved Catahoula hound dog was shot and killed last month in their front yard by an Ocoee police officer. But a police report released this week sheds little light on what happened. Stevens Bertrand, a school resource officer at Ocoee High, shot the 11-year-old dog named Duke in the head outside Charlie and Lisa Brooks’ home on July 17. “I couldn’t believe something like that happened. I was completely shocked,” Charlie Brooks said. The incident has prompted questions and outrage from the Brooks family, who expressed frustration at the Police Department’s vague description...

On March 8th, AG Jeff Sessions ordered all 94 federal prosecutors to prioritize violent crime, using the statutory tools at their disposal.  The first two offenses listed by the Attorney General were 18 U.S.C section 922 (firearms offenses including possession and straw purchasing) and 18 U.S.C. section 924(c) (possession of a firearm during and in relation to a violent crime or drug trafficking offense). The United States Attorney's Offices were urged to identify and target the criminals responsible for violent crime in their districts, and to coordinate with the state and local counterparts.  It appears to be having some...

Attorney General Jeff Sessions banned sanctuary cities from participating in a federal public safety program. In a statement through the Department of Justice (DOJ), Sessions said sanctuary cities would not be allowed to participate in the Public Safety Partnership program until they prove that they have properly dropped their status and made efforts to reduce violent crimes by illegal aliens. “By protecting criminals from immigration enforcement, cities and states with so-called ‘sanctuary’ policies make all of us less safe,” Sessions said in the statement. “We saw that just last week, when an illegal alien who had been deported twenty times...

After a 911 call for unknown trouble, officers arrive and find a man in distress, wielding some kind of object. Three words, known to those in law enforcement as the "police challenge," pierce the morning air. "Drop your weapon!" Seconds later, gunshots. It's an all-too-familiar scenario at coroner's inquests in Canada, according to some mental health experts. This week, a jury in Ontario is expected to reveal a list of recommendations that are supposed to give police the tools to respond effectively to civilians in crisis. The recommendations come after a weeks-long inquest into the fatal police shooting of Michael...

Rev. Al Sharpton blasted President Trump on Saturday for appearing to encourage police to be "rough" with suspects during his Friday speech to law enforcement in Long Island, New York. The legendary civil rights advocate accused Trump of supporting "police violence" in his remarks to officers, and pointed out Trump's use of an anti-Irish slur. "As if the reprehensible statement by President Donald Trump encouraging police violence wasn't enough," Sharpton wrote on Instagram. "He used a slur against Irish regarding "Paddy Wagons."

Minneapolis, MN – Raymond Dehn, candidate for Minneapolis mayor, is proposing police officers leave their guns in their cars, but says it’s okay for them to have nightsticks or pepper spray. Raymond Dehn, who is also a State Representative, is running against current mayor Betsy Hodges in this fall’s election, according to Fox9. He said, “Officers don’t need to carry guns on their person all the time…I’m not saying they don’t have access to that, just like they have access to more lethal weapons in their cars, I would believe they would still have access to their guns in their...

The president of the United States is explicitly encouraging police violence. In a speech to law enforcement officials in Long Island on Friday, the president of the United States delivered a clear and chilling message: He thinks that unauthorized immigrants are subhuman, and that law enforcement should treat them accordingly. The ostensible villains of Trump’s speech: the transnational criminal gang MS-13, which started in California but has taken root in El Salvador and whose members have been fingered in a string of high-profile killings in Long Island. Trump described MS-13 members as “animals” who “have transformed peaceful parks and beautiful,...

William Stewart Boyd drove to a South Side church 13 years ago to turn over his late father’s handgun to Chicago police as part of a buyback program aimed at keeping derelict firearms off the streets.A Cook County judge in domestic relations cases, Boyd expected the weapon to be inventoried and destroyed like thousands of others over the years. He was wrong.Instead, the gun mysteriously turned up eight years later next to the body of a young man shot to death by a Cicero police officer. The cop – with a history of discipline problems – is now off...

Antoquan Watson was high on PCP when he opened fire on officers during a vehicle pursuit and then exited his vehicle and started shooting at officers. In the post to Facebook, Alien Gear Holsters said: “A reasonable and prudent person follows a police officer’s orders; Angry people sometimes show reluctance, but is it ever okay to shoot someone 45 times?” They then posted a clip of the video,...
