Alien Gear Holsters made a post to their Facebook page Thursday morning which was critical of the officer-involved shooting of Antoquan Watson, suggesting that officers shouldn’t have shot him so many times.
Antoquan Watson was high on PCP when he opened fire on officers during a vehicle pursuit and then exited his vehicle and started shooting at officers.
In the post to Facebook, Alien Gear Holsters said:
“A reasonable and prudent person follows a police officer’s orders; Angry people sometimes show reluctance, but is it ever okay to shoot someone 45 times?”
They then posted a clip of the video, which we’ve included below.
After getting hammered with criticism for almost 2 hours from pissed-off customers, Alien Gear Holsters deleted their comment and replaced it with a meme with no further comment, as if they are trying to pretend that their previous comment never happened:

I believe anyone high on drugs who is shooting at people should be killed to protect the innocent.
If someone is shooting at you, it does not matter whether they are high on PCP or alcohol. The officers shot back, obviously in self defense, and they were better shots than he was...................
45 times sounds okay to me when that turkey is shooting at the LEOs.

Looked like he was still returning fire to the cops from the ground almost right up to the end. There was one shot after the “Cease Fire” that might have crossed the line, but he was still moving and still had the gun for most of the video. So at least 44 shots were appropriate.

Interesting first name.
Once you start you don’t stop until you feel the threat is neutralized. If I heard ‘cease fire’ and I still thought there was a threat I’m pulling the trigger. And any decent CO would expect such.
Let’s see ... Dirtbag doped up on PCP, shooting at Police, High-speed chase, terrorizing the folks on the road, ... should have shot him a few more times to make sure he was DRT! I was actually looking at an Alien Gear holster for my M-92FS ... emphasis on was.
I own Alien Gear holsters. I won’t buy any more.
Were the cops lousy shots or was it likely the PCP?
If someone is suitably high, shooting _at_ them 45 times may very well be needed to stop their assault. Not every shot may connect, not every hit may be immediately decisive - especially if the body is confused enough to not be aware it should stop. If there isn’t a central nervous system hit, nor a mechanically disabling hit, then you’re just waiting for the perp to bleed out or quit.
It wouldn’t have been necessary to shoot 45 times if they had been using flame throwers.
