Officer Jeronimo Yanez faces three criminal charges for the killing of Philando Castile, Ramsey County Attorney John Choi announced Wednesday. A passerby carrying a concealed weapon shot and killed a criminal suspect who was attacking a sheriff’s deputy in Estero, Fla. LIMA, Peru – Peru's new interior minister says there is strong evidence that police officers ran death squads in 2011-2015 and prosecutors are investigating. The 14-year-old daughter of a police officer executed at the July 7 Black Lives Matter protest in Dallas was notified by Southern Methodist University that she would not be able to serve an honorary serve in her father’s memory. An Alaska police officer was “ambushed” and shot multiple times in downtown Anchorage early Saturday morning, according to the Anchorage Police Department. The officer is undergoing emergency surgery and expected to survive, while the man suspected of shooting the officer was killed at the scene, police said. “It’s horrific.
