BOSTON —President John F. Kennedy’s love letter to an alleged secret mistress will be put up for auction by RR Auction. The four-page love letter was written to Mary Pinchot Meyer, a Kennedy family friend and wife of CIA agent Cord Meyer, in October 1963, a month before the president’s assassination.

Boris Johnson has won a £1,000 prize for a rude poem about the Turkish president having sex with a goat. “If somebody wants to make a joke about the love that flowers between the Turkish president and a goat, he should be able to do so, in any European country, including Turkey,” Johnson told interviewer Nicholas Farrell, who then challenged him to enter the Spectator’s poetry prize.

Which bunk do you think Hillary Clinton will have in her cell in prison? Do you think she'll have the top bunk or the bottom bunk? Personally, I think she sleeps hanging from the roof like an old bat. I'm just writing this to help Hillary's defenders get used to the idea of their girl behind bars.

Back in September, long before her devastating loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193, Ronda won the hearts of Marines around the world when she accepted an invitation via viral video from Jarrod Haschert asking her to join him at the Marine Corps Ball. And despite reports earlier today that Ronda would be bailing on her promise to join Jarrod at the ball, it looks like our stunning 2015 SI Swimsuit athlete is in fact going to make an appearance.

The end of the twentieth century of the Christian era is not far distant, and all about us things fall apart. There comes to my mind the last drawing from the pencil of William Hogarth, who died in 1764: it is a sufficient representation of the state of civilization today. Hogarth's final drawing is known as "The Bathos" or "Finis." This word "bathos" signifies the depths, or the bottom; also it is applied to the process of sinking from the sublime to the ridiculous. Hogarth's pencil shows us a devastated and desiccated world in which all things have come to...

For all we have and are, For all our children's fate, Stand up and take the war. The Hun is at the gate! Our world has passed away, In wantonness o'erthrown. There is nothing left to-day But steel and fire and stone! Though all we knew depart, The old Commandments stand:- "In courage kept your heart, In strength lift up your hand." Once more we hear the word That sickened earth of old:- "No law except the Sword Unsheathed and uncontrolled." Once more it knits mankind, Once more the nations go To meet and break and bind A crazed and...

My idea is to leverage the limitless talent on FreeRepublic to produce a weekly audio/video clip of current events that can be picked up and played by conservative news outlets. It would be "quasi open-source", FR only. The theme. The theme and presentation would mirror what was done at NFL Films but with a political/social/conservative message instead of football. Those familiar with NFL Films and the work of Ed Sabol with the voice of John Facenda, combined with the background music should know what I'm talking about. I firmly believe the talent here on FR can reproduce that style and...

My tribute and thanks to those who have heeded the call and especially to those who paid for our freedom by the giving of their the last full measure of devotion. "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

Lepanto White founts falling in the courts of the sun, And the Soldan of Byzantium is smiling as they run; There is laughter like the fountains in that face of all men feared, It stirs the forest darkness, the darkness of his beard, It curls the blood-red crescent, the crescent of his lips, For the inmost sea of all the earth is shaken with his ships. They have dared the white republics up the capes of Italy, They have dashed the Adriatic round the Lion of the Sea, And the Pope has cast his arms abroad for agony and loss,...
