On ABC’s hit series “Scandal,” President Fitzgerald Grant is often seen sneaking out of the White House for a clandestine meeting with the covert agents of B-613 or a secret rendezvous with Olivia Pope, but nothing could be further from the truth. The real president isn’t sneaking anywhere. President Obama explained earlier this week what it’s like to try and break out of the White House bubble. “Every once in a while, I’m able to sneak off… I’m sort of like the circus bear that kind of breaks the chain, and I start taking off, and everybody starts whispering, the...

The shooting in the Kansas City area on Sunday at Jewish facilities that killed three was a horrifying reminder of the dangers some hate groups pose. Attorney Gen. Eric Holder on Monday morning issued a statement on the matter. “I was horrified to learn of this weekend’s tragic shootings outside Kansas City. These senseless acts of violence are all the more heartbreaking as they were perpetrated on the eve of the solemn occasion of Passover. “Justice Department prosecutors will work with their state and local counterparts to provide all available support and to determine whether the federal hate crimes statute...

I see Dear Reader, six years after seizing power, has SUDDENLY discovered how much he cares about women and wages. But three days ago, he could barely be bothered with the murder of our soldiers. Fundraising was of paramount importance. Now I see he is going to attend the memorial service at Fort Hood TOMORROW. Seems reasonable to me that for something that happened late last week would not wait until WEDNESDAY for a service. Looks to me like Fort Hood was FORCED to not hold a service until it was convenient for Obamugabe. What do you think?

Many kids bring notes to their teachers explaining why they missed school. Those notes may carry a little more weight when they're signed by President Obama himself. ... "She went straight for him," said Alanah's mother, Stacy Pouillard. "I thought the Secret Service would stop her. On Monday, the Obama White House reportedly held a moment of silence for the victims of last week’s Boston terror attack. For whatever reason, however, the press was barred and the White House released this photo of the president looking at his shoes paying his respects: Over at White House Dossier, Keith Koffler notes that this is another in a series of carefully crafted images released from the White House designed to craft Obama’s image in the wake of the terrorist attack: Presidents rarely engage in this type of private symbolism, which has regal sense to it – the leader...
  • 'Mom would be so proud to see the President holding her granddaughter': ... family meeting Obama

Watching Barack Obama hug her young daughter, Cristina Hassinger should have felt elated. But the moment was tinged with sadness as the only reason the youngster was in the arms of the president of the U.S. was because her heroic grandmother had been shot dead two days early. Dawn Hochsprung was the principal of Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut and was gunned down trying to stop Adam Lanzer from entering the building. The 47-year-old ran out of a meeting to confront the armed attacker, but she was killed trying to save her pupils. In the hours leading up to...
