The White House put Michael Sam's decision not to be, at least early in his NFL career, perceived as an activist for gay rights to the test, and the former Missouri defensive end passed it. Sam, the NFL's first openly gay draft prospect, declined an invitation to the 2014 White House Correspondents' Dinner, according to his publicist, Howard Bragman.

Roger Goodell and the pro-homosexual elements of the NFL are ACHING to get on board with Team Obama's agenda. Maybe Michael Sam will be able to fit the bill, but maybe not.

In his defense, the poor guy had a gerbil up his butt that didn’t like all the moving around within his home.

Of course he didn’t go, both Sam and Odumbo might have the same dress and there would be a catfight...

Sam was terrible at the Senior Bowl then performed horribly at the combine...he has one more shot at pro-day on March 20th...leaving to frolic with the WH would be just another dagger in his draft stock...

What NFL career? He will be lucky to even be drafted after his lousy showing at the combine. He will be an undrafted free agent that no one wants to touch. Not that he might not make it, but no one wants to be the GM that cuts him
Well maybe Obama should invite the woman who drove herself and her kids into the ocean - with a baby strapped in her seat - instead. After all, abortion is abortion - just a technicality how old they are.
So long as some white people died, he’ll be cool with it.
The invitation is to the annual schmooz-fest White House Correspondents Dinner, not to the White House.
The administration is always looking for fresh props.
