It’s always a good day when gun sense prevails in Olympia. Thanks to the passage of House Bill 1501, police and victims will now get notification if a felon, fugitive or someone who’s the subject of a court protection order illegally attempts to buy a firearm. There’s little doubt this upgraded notification system will save lives. Victims of domestic violence in particular can breathe a sigh of relief.

As the school year comes to an end in Los Angeles, many students look forward to hanging out at the beach, going on family trips, or attending vacation Bible school. But since teens, and preteens, who want to abolish police need summer activities too, the Los Angeles chapter of Black Lives Matter is organizing a Youth Activist Camp. The week-long cultivation, which runs June 12 through June 16, will be “free for all Black youth, ages 10-18.”
  • Robert Spencer Poisoned After Giving Anti-Jihad Speech in Iceland

After I spoke last Thursday in the beautiful nation of Iceland, a Leftist in Reykjavik poisoned me. Perhaps I should have seen it coming. The international Left has rejected free speech, and has embraced violence as a suitable response to speech contradicting its narrative. My visit triggered a firestorm of abuse in the Icelandic press, all of which was based on American Leftist talking points. Every story about my visit used the same elements. For example, that the Southern Poverty Law Center claims I purvey “hate speech,” which is a subjective judgment used to shut down dissent from the establishment...

Writing in The Hill, Valdez said: One of Congress’s top priorities is to allow the unrestricted concealed carry of firearms, which would undermine one state’s strong laws with another state’s weaker laws for carrying loaded, hidden guns in public. This bill would make it easier for dangerous people, like stalkers and domestic abusers, to carry hidden guns in all 50 states. Under this bill, a victim could never feel safe or escape their accuser by going to another state. This bill also directly undermines the ability of law enforcement officers to effectively do their jobs and ensure public safety.
  • Why The Globalist Establishment Is Doomed To Fail

It’s easy to get despondent over the current political situation. The progressive, globalist elites appear to be firmly entrenched in their positions of power. Even the election of Trump hasn’t moved the needle very much. But the appearance of being in control is a ruse. The end of the globalist neoliberal order and the elites is now inevitable. The elite want to appear invincible The great Chinese military strategist, Sun Tzu, tells us that “All warfare is based on deception.” One such deception is for an army to give the appearance of great strength even if its real strength is...

It seems as though Michael Moore is still bitter from last November’s election and directing anti-Republican movies as a creative and cathartic outlet. After all, who can forget his movie Fahrenheit 9/11 that the George W. Bush presidency and his War on Terror. Brent Bozell called it a "flagrant foul on the facts." Moore has now teamed up with his former collaborators to produce Fahrenheit 11/9, a play on the title of his Bush-bashing movie, though this time the date signifies the day after Donald J. Trump was elected president...and liberals compared it to a "moral 9/11." An announcement about...

A routine police check in Minnesota resulted in the arrest of two Muslim men on charges they were driving around with an arsenal of weapons including bomb-making devices. Abdullah N. Alrifahe, 27, and Majid N. Alrifahe, 26, both of Minneapolis, were arrested May 11 after police had reason to search their car and found a hand grenade, handgun, several assault rifles and magazines and a large quantity of ammunition, according to the police report. They also found cellphones, drone parts, computers and electronics devices capable of igniting a bomb. Former Minnesota Rep. Michele Bachmann said the size of the cache...

By 2030, you probably won’t own a car, but you may get a free trip with your morning coffee. Transport-As-A-Service will use only electric vehicles and will upend two trillion-dollar industries. It’s the death spiral for cars. A major new report predicts that by 2030, the overwhelming majority of consumers will no longer own a car – instead they will use on-demand electric autonomous vehicles. By 2030, within 10 years of regulatory approval of autonomous electric vehicles (A-EVs), the report says, 95 per cent of all US passenger miles traveled will be served by on-demand, autonomous, electric vehicles that will...
  • Violence And Intimidation Against Republicans Are Becoming The New Normal

Violence and intimidation against Republicans are quickly becoming the new normal in an increasingly tense political climate. In one of the most recent incidents, police in Tennessee charged a woman with felony reckless endangerment on Thursday for allegedly trying to run Republican Congressman David Kustoff off the road after a town hall. The woman, Wendi Wright, was reportedly enraged over Kustoff’s support for the American Health Care Act and screamed at the congressman and his aide, striking his car windows and reaching inside the vehicle.

The message is being sent out loud and clear: the American Left is moving toward violence as a tactic in its quest to grab the political power to which it believes it is entitled. John Daniel Davidson is absolutely correct in his observation that the “The American Left is talking itself into Violence.” He cites a lot of examples. Here is a sample: Jennifer Carnahan, the new chairwoman of the Minnesota Republican Party, received a torrent of racist hate mail and at least one threat of physical violence that forced her from her home for a weekend. Carnahan, who is...
  • Chairman Ajit Pai is draining the FCC Swamp

If you're wondering where the Washington, D.C., swamp is being drained as promised, look no further than the Federal Communications Commission and intrepid new Chairman Ajit Pai. For eight long years, the Obama administration circumvented our deliberative democratic process to impose laws via administrative fiat and his infamous "pen and phone." And no agency illustrated that malfeasance more than the FCC, where former Chairman Tom Wheeler in particular rammed through partisan policies and midnight regulations of dubious legality, often suffering the wrath of an unamused judicial branch for its shenanigans. Chief among those Obama FCC misdeeds was its relentless and...

In fathoming the failure of Europeans to protect their own interests against the onslaught of Islamic jihadism, one is reminded of Ayn Rand's quotation that "[r]eason is not automatic. Those who deny it cannot be conquered by it. Do not count on them[.]" Bruce Bawer, an astute observer of the European scene, wonders how "Marine Le Pen lost in a landslide" given all the jihadist assaults against the French people and the very culture of France. Bawer offers three possibilities that include: European guilt about past imperial histories and a "need to atone." the postmodern belief that "no culture is...

Across the country, loud and sometime violent campus protesters are often met by administrators who ultimately give in to demands related to perceived slights on issues ranging from race to gender and sexuality to alleged hate speech. But one college president is fighting back, and he says the pursuit of truth – not unanimous political ideology – ought to be the goal of higher education. Oklahoma Wesleyan University President Everett Piper burst on to the scene in late 2015 when he wrote an open letter to his students and famously explained their campus was not a day care but a...

N.C. Senate Republicans were visibly upset with Democrats for prolonging the budget debate with amendments during an after-midnight session Friday morning. As the clock approached 1 a.m., Senate Minority Leader Dan Blue was summoned to the front of the chamber to talk privately with Senate leader Phil Berger. The Senate had rejected five amendments from Democrats to fund their spending priorities, but each time one proposal was shot down, another one was filed. Senate Rules Chairman Bill Rabon abruptly called for a recess, stopping the proceedings for nearly two hours. GOP leaders headed to a conference room with legislative budget...

Seattle police now use the term “community member” in place of “suspect” when writing use of force reports, something several officers find offensive. Per KIRO: “I think this is all in an effort to make sure our report writing sounds politically correct,” Seattle Police Officers' Guild Kevin Stuckey told KIRO 7. “Politically correct.” No kidding. This is the result of the left’s ceaseless push to whitewash truth and make everything the same. So if someone in Community A commits a heinous crime, they are awarded the same description as a law-abiding citizen who also lives in Community A. They are...

The Director of National Intelligence, Dan Coats, informed Congress this week that Iran has continued to develop it's long range missile technology despite UN resolutions prohibiting the work. The Iranians are using the cover of their space program to perfect ICBM's that could be capable of hitting the US mainland. Washington Free Beacon: Iran's ballistic missile work, particularly its focus on ICBMs, runs counter to United Nations resolutions barring such activity, though it remains unclear if the Trump administration plans to pursue new sanctions on Iran. Iran continues to perform key research and development on nuclear missile capabilities despite the...

President Trump has directed Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke to review recent land withdrawals under the 1906 Antiquities Act, to determine whether some should be reversed or reduced in size. The review is long overdue. The act was intended to protect areas of historic, prehistoric or scientific value, with areas designated as monuments to be the smallest size compatible with the proper care and management of objects or sites to be protected. The first designation, the 1,347-acre Devils Tower National Monument (NM) respected that intent, as have most designations since then.

If there was one principle that used to unite conservatives, it was respect for the rule of law. Not long ago, conservatives would have been horrified at wholesale violations of the norms and traditions of our political system, and would have been appalled by a president who showed overt contempt for the separation of powers. But this week, as if on cue, most of the conservative media fell into line, celebrating President Trump’s abrupt dismissal of the F.B.I. director, James Comey, and dismissing the fact that Mr. Comey was leading an investigation into the Trump campaign and its ties to...

After multiple staff departures from gun control group Everytown for Gun Safety and its spinoff Moms Demand Action, activists say a top decision-maker at both groups is making life difficult for those in the movement. According to sources close to Everytown, Shannon Watts, founder of Moms Demand Action and advisory board member of Everytown, remains a problem within both groups. Watts, while not a staffer with either organization, is a full-time volunteer who lives in Colorado. Critics of Watts say that despite that status, she is involved with all major leadership decisions. An all-staff email sent by Everytown president John...
