During the photo-shoot, as Miss Peru Universe, Valeria Piazza, was transitioning to another spot along the rocks on the banks of the Shilcayo River in Tarapoto, San Martín, she looked down and noticed a severed, rotting leg. After being accidentally crowned Miss Universe by Steve Harvey earlier this month, Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez discussed her reaction to Harvey's mishap with Colombia's W radio on Wednesday. According to the Latin Times, Gutierrez said in the interview, "It was very humiliating for me, but also for the whole country and for all the people not only from Colombia but the other Latinos that were in the auditorium."
