The Unlikely Turning Point in the Same Sex Marriage Battle (Trump's Pro-Gay Pageant)
American Thinker ^ | June 29, 2015 | Jack Cashill

This past weekend has been heady one for our friends on the soft-core left. Without ever attending a meeting, let alone a march, or even making a donation, they got to celebrate Obergefell v. Hodges as if it were V-J day.

These are the same people, of course, who protested not a peep in 1996 when Bill Clinton signed the Defense of Marriage Act into law, the same people who voted giddily for Barack Obama in 2008 despite his avowed support for traditional marriage, the same people who cannot wait until their next water cooler encounter to dress down some hapless co-worker as a “bigot.” Moral hauteur has never come so cheaply.

So immune are our friends to history, they likely do not know who it is they have to thank for the accelerated transmutation of this highly unlikely idea into law. As I note in my forthcoming book, Scarlet Letters, if there were a Che Guevara in this movement, it was his hysterical homeboy, Perez Hilton.

Born Mario Armando Lavandeira in Miami, Hilton had rechristened himself in homage to airhead celebrity Paris Hilton and gossiped his way to fame, if not fortune, through his supremely catty blog. Well before he turned thirty, Hilton emerged as what one gay rival called the media’s “bad-boy darling go-to gay.”

A natural neo-puritan, Hilton prided himself on “outing” those celebrities who chose not to share their sexual inclinations with the world. In 2006, he had scored a media hit when he forced former Doogie Howser star Neil Patrick Harris to admit his homosexuality.

“We are so proud (despite the nay-sayers) in having a hand in bringing about change,” Hilton boasted at the time. “We’ve said it before and we will say it again: the closet no longer exists if you are a celebrity

Trump put his crony Perez Hilton on the panel of judges and then set this girl up with the question about gay marriage. Then Trump fired her because she didn't support gay marriage.

Aren’t there any men left in this country? Didn’t Ms. Prejean have a boyfriend with his testicles still attached?
If somebody called my girl, or wife a b****, or c***, he’d be pooping out his teeth for a week.
I don’t care what the consequences, somebody should have punched that flaming a$$hole in the mouth, and stood up for their woman.

I have mentioned/reminded the Trump supporters what liberal Donald Trump did by hiring Hilton but they don't care any more than they care that he is for amnesty.

Support for this liberal runs deep because he "says" what they want to hear.

Everyone should read this article:
it’s lyrically poetic and poetic justice.
Great writing.

Ridiculous?

Ridiculous is a conservative supporting a man who has given 6-digit figures to the corrupt Clinton Foundation. Trump has.

Ridiculous is a conservative supporting a man who wants to ban "assault weapons". There is no such thing you know. "Assault weapon" is a term created by anti-gun liberals so they could ban guns based on cosmetic appearances...and Trump, being the liberal that he is, fell for it.

Ridiculous is a conservative supporting a man who has said he wants to extend the waiting periods to purchase a gun. Trump has.

Ridiculous is a conservative supporting a man who has praised as "Brilliant" gun-grabbing leftist Michael Bloomberg for "Putting His Money Where His Mouth Is" on guns.

Ridiculous is a conservative supporting a man running as a Republican who said, "the economy does better under the Democrats than the Republicans". Trump said just that.

Ridiculous is a conservative supporting a man who said, “Bush was probably the worst president in the history of the United States.” Trump said just that.

Ridiculous is a conservative supporting a man who said, “I’m very liberal when it comes to health care. I believe in universal health care.” Trump said just that.

Ridiculous is any conservative supporting a man who said, "I probably identify more as Democrat". Donald Trump said just that.

There are many things that can be construed as "ridiculous". But few begin to approach the level of absurdity as that of conservatives supporting lifelong liberal democRAT Donald Trump.
