A former constitutional law professor criticized the Electoral College system on Friday, saying that it is a “vestige” of an “earlier vision” of how the U.S. government was going to work. “The Electoral College is a vestige, it’s a carryover from an earlier vision of how our federal government was going to work that put a lot of premium on states,” President Obama said during an end-of-the-year press conference.

President Barack Obama boasted of his legacy during a town hall in Britain, asserting that he single- handedly saved the world during his presidency. “Saving the world economy from a Great Depression — that was pretty good,” Obama bragged when asked by a student in London what he wanted his legacy to be. He recalled that when he visited London in 2009, the world economy was in a “freefall” because of irresponsible behavior of financial institutions around the world. “For us to be able to mobilize the world’s community, to take rapid action, to stabilize the financial markets, and then...

President Obama will discuss the San Bernardino, Calif., shootings and the broader threat of terrorism on Sunday night in a rare prime time address from the Oval Office. The address at 8 p.m. will hit on the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria and how the terror threat has "evolved, and how we will defeat it," according to the White House. "He will reiterate his firm conviction that ISIL will be destroyed and that the United States must draw upon our values - our unwavering commitment to justice, equality and freedom - to prevail over terrorist groups that use violence...
  • McConnell to pro-lifers: Forget about defunding Planned Parenthood until next President

If you’ve been holding out any hope that Congress might actually put up a fight against Planned Parenthood’s $528 million in federal funding, think again. The House of Representatives may be holding a vote on it after Labor Day, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has reiterated that that’s all we’re going to see: The Senate Democrats have a big enough number to prevent us from doing things. They prevented us from doing any of the bills that appropriate money for the government, thereby forcing a negotiation when we go back in after Labor Day, which I’ll be engaged in...

The Obama administration has punished the state of Kansas for cutting taxpayer funds for the Planned Parenthood abortion business by cutting its federal Title X funding by the same amount. The moves comes at the same time the abortion giant is facing intense criticism over its sales of aborted babies and their body parts. In 2011, pro-life Governor Sam Brownback signed a bill signed into law a bill that would shift funding away from the Planned Parenthood abortion business and stops abortion funding in health insurance programs. The Kansas Senate passed the measure on a 28-10 vote and the state...

The top spokesman for President Barack Obama today said there’s essentially no evidence that Planned Parenthood acted unethically by selling the body parts of aborted babies. Ergo, there’s no reason for Congress to de-fund Planned Parenthood. The comments from White House spokesman Josh Earnest come despite a fourth video showing the abortion giant potentially breaking state and federal laws to sell the body parts of aborted babies. The Hill has more about Obama’s spokesman’s comments: White House press secretary Josh Earnest stopped short of issuing a formal veto threat against the legislation, but he said “on balance, the president would...

President Barack Obama’s top spokesman today defended the Planned Parenthood abortion business after a shocking new expose’ video caught Planned Parenthood’s top doctor describing how the abortion business sells the body parts of aborted babies. As LifeNews reported, new undercover footage shows Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s Senior Director of Medical Services, Dr. Deborah Nucatola, describing how Planned Parenthood sells the body parts of aborted unborn children and admitting she uses partial-birth abortions to supply intact body parts. Now, Obama spokesman Josh Ernest is defending the abortion giant, despite not having seen the video. Although he said he has not...

Iranians posting across social media platforms are elated that Iran and six world powers reached a historic nuclear deal Tuesday after almost a decade of negotiations. The agreement limits Iranian nuclear activity in exchange for billions of dollars in sanctions relief. Iranians are declaring online that the deal is a victory, posting ‎#IranWinsPeace in thousands of tweets and Instagram posts since Monday. “I hope that good days are waiting for us,” someone tweeted from Tehran, using the hashtag. “The Iranians showed that they are civilized and rational people.” Final talks in Vienna involved nearly three weeks of intense round-the-clock talks....

Yesterday, the House passed legislation that will put in place a complete ban on taxpayer funding of abortions that ensures abortions are not directly funded in any federal governmental program or department. The president says he will veto it. The legislation combines several policies that must be enacted every year in Congressional battles and puts them into law where they will not be in jeopardy of being overturned every time Congress changes hands from pro-life lawmakers to those who support abortions. The House voted 242-179 for the bill with 239 Republicans and three Democrats voting to ban taxpayer funding of...

Enjoying his vacation in Hawaii President Obama has dispatched Vice President Joe Biden to New York to represent the administration at the funeral of slain New York Police Officer Rafael Ramos, in a move some would consider a clear indication of his hostility towards and disdain for law enforcement. To send a loose cannon like Biden to such a solemn occasion, knowing full well that Biden is more than likely going to say or do something truly insensitive or stupid, shows that the president has little regard for the feelings of police professionals in New York and around the country.The...

Liberal journalists are now claiming that Americans who use the term #Obola are racist and xenophobic, continuing the trend whereby any criticism of President Obama is hastily characterized as a racial slur. In an article for the Verge entitled Ebola panic is getting pretty racist, feminist journalist Arielle Duhaime-Ross blames Dinesh D’Souza and Michael Savage for popularizing the hashtag #Obola as a “racist xenophobic….banner to rally around,” despite the fact that the meme patently represents a witty encapsulation of what many see as the federal government’s botched response to the Ebola outbreak and the failure to block flights from West...

It also calls for building 17 treatment centres with 100 beds each; placing U.S. Public Health Service personnel in new field hospitals in Liberia; training thousands of healthcare workers for six months or longer; and creating an "air bridge" to get health workers and medical supplies into West Africa more quickly. • Fox News poll: Obama's approval hits new low (38%)

03/05/2014 3:01:18 PM PST · by Red in Blue PA · 90 replies
President Obama’s job approval rating hits a record low this week, as a majority of Americans say his administration has mostly failed at growing the economy, creating jobs, improving health care and the country’s image. That’s according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday. For the first time in a Fox News poll, fewer than four voters in ten -- 38 percent -- approve of President Obama’s job performance. Fifty-four percent disapprove. Before now Obama’s worst job rating was 40-55 percent in November 2013. Last month 42 percent approved and 53 percent disapproved (February 2014).

According to the poll, Obama’s overall job-approval rating stands at 43 percent, up 1 point from the previous NBC/WSJ survey conducted in late October, his lowest showing ever in the poll. But 54 percent say they disapprove of his job, which is the highest mark in his presidency. In addition, for the second straight survey, Obama’s favorable/unfavorable score is a net-negative (42 percent positive, 46 percent negative). And a combined 50 percent say they are either “disappointed” or “dissatisfied” with the president, versus a combined 28 percent who are “proud” or “satisfied.”
