If you vote Republican, there's a good chance you're doing it because you want to "hurt people of Color." That's one of the messages from Everyday Feminism's new article, "Here Are the Real Reasons Why We White People Struggle to Admit That Racism Still Exists." The author, Jamie Utt, says that "we whites" need to realize the evil we're perpetrating. One of the "reasons" why white people can't admit that racism still exists is that "White People Have an Emotional Stake in Denying White Supremacy," he explains. "Because that way, we can avoid dealing with how we’re complicit in its...

George Takei called Thomas a "clown in blackface" following the justice's dissent in last week's landmark same-sex marriage ruling.Star Trek legend George Takei has apologized for calling Clarence Thomas a "clown in blackface" following the Supreme Court justice's dissent in last week's landmark same-sex marriage ruling, according to CNN. "I was still seething, and I referred to him as a 'clown in blackface' to suggest that he had abdicated and abandoned his heritage," Takei wrote Friday in a Facebook post. "This was not intended to be racist, but rather to evoke a history of racism in the theatrical arts. While...

The Supreme Court decision allowing gay “marriage†in the United States has upset all right minded Christians, and rightly so.It is pretty clear that the Supreme Court has rubber stamped a widespread rejection of Christian morality by a large segment of the American people. Not only has the Supreme Court ratified same sex “marriage†but they have overturned majority opinions of the people, set themselves up as arbiters of human morality, trampled on states’ rights, ignored not only historic Christian teaching, but the understanding of marriage held by all people at all times and in all cultures down through history. We’re right...

Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz, in his new memoir “A Time for Truth,” confides that when he was a young lawyer learning how to argue a case in the Supreme Court, he had a role model: John G. Roberts, whom he described as “a brilliant Supreme Court lawyer,” the “best advocate” of his generation. That would be the same John Roberts, now chief justice of the Supreme Court, that Mr. Cruz has been lambasting of late for last week’s ruling upholding a key piece of President Barack Obama’s signature health-care law.“When I began practicing, I worked hard to emulate his argument...

DECATUR COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The employees of the Decatur County clerk’s office in west Tennessee have resigned from their positions. Clerk Gwen Pope and employees Sharon Bell and Mickey Butler all said their resignations was due to the Supreme Court’s decision to allow same-sex marriages. The decision reportedly clashes with the employees’ religious beliefs. Their last day will be July 14. Currently, the Decatur County’s clerk office will not issue a same-sex license.

Church ‘obsessions’ As the culture pushes abortion and sex outside of marriage, the Church is called to respond with truth Msgr. Charles Pope OSV Newsweekly 7/1/2015 Question: My sister-law is hostile to the Church and says that we are obsessed by sex and abortion and don’t care about the same things Jesus did, like the poor. Name withheld, Newark, New Jersey Answer: The charge that the Church is “obsessed” with sex and abortion — and many today add homosexuality — is not sustainable. Any look at the Catechism of the Catholic Church...

Within the space of just 48 hours, the United States Supreme Court ruled that the president is above the law; that straightforward statutory words may be twisted to mean the opposite of what they say; that discrimination — heretofore, the textbook example of a willful act — can be committed unconsciously, thereby supplanting our constitutional foundation of equal opportunity for all with the totalitarian’s dream of guaranteed outcomes for favored factions; and that five politically unaccountable lawyers, by dint of being issued robes, may impose their vision of the good society on 320 million Americans, reimagining our most basic institutions,...

The specter of John McCain was present at a recent meeting the Arizona’s Legislative District 2, as Precinct Committeemen moved to pass a resolution to close the Republican primaries. Despite his operatives’ best efforts the resolution vehemently opposed by McCain passed. LD2 Chair Sergio Arellano, who told the group that he personally supported closed primaries, pleaded with attendees to delay the vote until Arizona GOP head Robert Graham could address the group. According to Arellano, Graham, who was in France, wanted the group to refrain from voting on the resolution until he could talk them out of it. Arellano entertained...

In what could be a first for a global fast food outlet, Burger King is making a bold proclamation in support of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community with the launch of a specially packaged burger. The "Be Your Way" project was created at a Burger King franchise in San Francisco, where a limited edition "Proud Whopper" sandwich was added to the menu to coincide with the city's annual pride festivities. According to press materials, guests who ordered the "Proud Whopper" found that the sandwich was the same as a classic Whooper, but came wrapped in a rainbow-colored...

This 4th of July is as much a lamentation as a celebration. I’m not trying to rain on your parade but in a world where the Duke boys are the new KKK, as Captain Sulu gets to call Clarence Thomas a “clown in black face” while hiding behind a “LoveWins” hashtag, we have clearly lost our minds. But I’m sure George Takei will feel terrible about his mistake once the Star Trek DVDs and scale models of the Enterprise are taken off the shelves—faster than you can say “you will be made to care.” Wait, what’s that you say? Takei...

New chairman given okay to allow other LGBT marchers under their own bannerFor years, the organizers of New York's St. Patrick's Day Parade, as well as various archbishops, have defended against calls to allow homosexuals to march in the parade under any banner identifying them as a gay group. Last year, bowing to boycott pressure from several sponsors, including Guiness Stout, the parade allowed a group called "Out@NBC Universal" to march. Cardinal Timothy Dolan refused calls to step down as grand marshal in spite of the group's presence. “I have no trouble with the decision at all,” Cardinal Dolan said...

As I have reported before, the radical abortion rights group, Stop Patriarchy, has plans to protest in several states this summer. They made their rounds in January during the anniversary of Roe and I reported on their protests on this blog several times. Stop Patriarchy is an admitted communist organization who uses methods they have gathered from former people like terrorist Bill Ayers who began the Days of Rage protests otherwise known as Occupy Wall Street. Under the hashtag #RaiseHellJ1 you can see all the mayhem that the abortion loving organization is causing. Today they went to the San Francisco...

While dissenting from the recent Supreme Court decision rubber-stamping same-sex “marriage,” Justice Antonin Scalia warned his colleagues that with “each decision ... unabashedly based not on law” the Court moves “one step closer to being reminded of [its] impotence.” And a new poll shows that another such step has in fact been taken, with more Americans supporting the idea that states should have the right to ignore federal court rulings. Writes Rasmussen Reports, “A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 33% of Likely U.S. Voters now believe that states should have the right to ignore federal court rulings...

The conservative world exploded in outrage over George Takei's blatantly racist remark calling Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas "a clown in blackface," but they all got this story wrong. Takei is a very rare bird: an intellectually honest liberal. I'm not going to cover in detail what Takei said and what Justice Thomas wrote. You can read about it here, here, and here. To sum up, Justice Thomas wrote in his dissent on Obergefell v. Hodges (the gay marriage case, for those who have hid their heads in a bag for the last two weeks) that the government doesn't bestow dignity and humanity...

Just because Takei had the ability to memorize such great lines “Aye aye, captain,” does not mean he has any smarts. And, as far as intelligence in actors goes, Takei is no Ronald Reagan. He’s not even a Kim Kardashian As everyone who does not depend on the left wing mainstream media for news knows by now, actor and gay rights spokesman, George Takei, is not too pleased with what Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas wrote in his dissenting opinion in the gay marriage case, Obergefell v. Hodges. Of the only black justice on the Supreme Court of the United...

CannaCamp couldn't cultivate kush resort after national derision becomes a real downerA planned pot-friendly ranch resort in southwest Colorado has been snuffed before it opened. The 170-acre CannaCamp resort touted weed-friendly activities such as hiking and fishing. But a deal with the landowner fell through, and the marijuana-tourism company promoting CannaCamp announced Thursday that the resort won’t open after all. The MaryJane Group, which runs marijuana-friendly inns in Denver and Silverthorne, announced that it hopes to find a new home for CannaCamp by 2016. Guests who already booked stays starting at $395 per person per night are being offered stays...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK)Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), the most conservative presidential candidate for 2016, was recently interviewed by Hispanic TV channel Univision on a variety of subjects including the recent U.S. Supreme court opinion on counterfeit marriage. The interview turned out to be a great opportunity to inform the Hispanic community about the U.S. Constitution and conservative values. The Univision Leftist interviewer Jorge Ramos seemed to think “love wins” (translation: “perverted lust wins”), but Senator Cruz said that (like any patriotic American) he would rather the U.S. Constitution wins. He pointed out that the U.S. Supreme Court opinion on counterfeit marriage was “fundamentally...
