Hillary Clinton's campaign has called off its planned election night firework display, it emerged Monday, the day before America goes to the polls. Staffers were going to put on a two-minute show over the Hudson River after the results come in on Tuesday, but the proposal has been canned, TMZ reported on Monday. The campaign called the Coast Guard last week to tell them the event was off, three days after the New York Post reported it was planning the bash - although the cancellation was secret until Monday. Hillary Clinton's campaign chairman John Podesta says members of the FBI who have shared information about the agency's investigation of her private server should "shut up." "I think the men and women of the FBI are doing a tremendous job out here across the country. But the leakers should shut up," Podesta said Sunday on NBC's "Meet the Press." Podesta called the leaks "worrisome." Democrats have pointed to former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani's claims that agents within the FBI are angry that Director James Comey hasn't recommended charges against Clinton. Democrats have criticized Comey for revealing to Congress...

A new WikiLeaks release of stolen emails belonging to Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman John Podesta reveal an invitation by his brother to a “Spirit Cooking dinner” at the home of artist Marina Abramovic. “Spirit Cooking with Essential Aphrodisiac Recipes” was released by Ms. Abramovic in 1996, but the “ingredients” call for “fresh breast milk with fresh sperm milk” to be consumed “on earthquake nights.” New York’s Museum of Modern Art called it a “cookbook” for “evocative instructions for actions or thoughts.” Another recipe calls for “fresh morning urine.” “Are you in NYC Thursday July 9 Marina wants you to come...

New York’s criminal element has sunk to a new despicable low in 2016, as crimes against the elderly have skyrocketed thanks to a wave of violent attacks on senior citizens, according to newly released NYPD statistics. Slightly more than 1,000 people over 65 have been assaulted across the city through Oct. 31 — a 16 percent increase over the 863 old folks who were attacked in the same period in 2015, cops said.

Talk about tempting providence. Hillary Clinton has already organised an Election Night celebration party in New York complete with fireworks which would kick off only 30 minutes after the polls close. The New York Fire Department and the NYPD have both been notified in advance of plans for a pyrotechnic display launched from a barge in the Hudson, just off Manhattan’s Javits Center next Tuesday night. The New York Post says the two-minute fireworks display could start as early as 9.30pm local time, only 30 minutes after the polls close in New York and hours before voters cast their final...

Vice presidential candidate Mike Pence's campaign plane slid off the runway after landing at LaGuardia Airport Thursday evening, tearing up two tracks of concrete before coming to rest on a patch of grass. The governor was checked to make sure he was OK, but no injuries were reported, according to an NBC campaign embed on the scene. Port Authority emergency responders were on the scene within seconds, and LaGuardia Airport was closed for over an hour while authorities investigated. The Boeing 737 plane, which was coming from Fort Dodge, Iowa -- about a three-hour flight from New York -- overshot...

Hillary Clinton has picked out a symbolism-laden spot for her party on election night. The Democratic nominee and her supporters will celebrate or bemoan the results at the Javits Center in New York, her campaign said Wednesday. The convention hall has a glass ceiling, and Clinton has notably used the imagery of shattering the "glass ceiling" when she talks about trying to become the first female president. Manhattan could end up being the center of the political world on election night if Donald Trump also decides to mark the occasion there. He's often used Trump Tower for campaign events, starting...

While the tradition of the Alfred E. Smith dinner to invite the Republican and Democrat nominee to raise money for charity is admirable, it was disturbing to see Timothy Cardinal Dolan laughing and joking with Hillary Clinton less than twenty-four hours after Hillary announced she supports abortion up to the moment of birth. Worse, when he spoke at the end, he made a vague oblique reference to the life of the unborn when he said some of the money raised would help poor women give birth. I understand that the dinner is to raise money and everyone tries to...
